Yes because it's still 4.0.4...
Those who updated to new .587 firmware update didn't dare to install Mods from XDA which includes 'Framework'... Otherwise u'll get Bootloop!
I'm on .587 and I've installed both toggles and walkman mods and I have no problems, so I'd say its safe, just make a backup first.

I've tried XS Lockscreen mod involving changing the framework file and got bootloop/stuck at boot screen.
Walkman, Toggle and Home mods seems to work just fine

Do u use walman mod for pureness 11?? Last time I tried it on (stock) older build of ICS 4.0.4 and get error on setting, cannot create apn so I cant connect to internet, and also it always FC every 10 seconds.. I want to try again in 587 but Im afrait it'll be the same as the older one..

Don't use the walkman mod from Pureness11, instead use the Walkman app from these threads, these both are working perfect in ICS version of neo and neo v.

i installed thje walkman on 587 on my neo v, but the beats.apk is missing but ThilinaC put it in a attechment in general chat install that with root explorer reboot and all works fine

i'm using night-elf(lite) kernel which gives me more battery power and more functions when compared to sony ics kernel...

No it will not. .eventhough if u flash it, u will lost some system apps like msging app, phone book...etc. ..it will get parasing error

Problem with Walkman
Hi,Dani i install your Rom on my Neo every thing is ok but i have a problem with the Walkman the sound enhancements don't work,it crash every time i start the app . How do i fix it ?
Other problem the Walkman is to slow it's lagging , what to do to make it start faster ?
Otherwise the is perfect i install it on my RAY & NEO they rock :good:

Couple of questions though (since I'm a noob to all of these custom ROM stuff):
1. I'm assuming you're going to fix the xLoud issue in a future release, but in the meantime, how would I apply the fix you mentioned in your post?
2. Is there a way to remove the on-screen Back, Home and Options buttons on the home screen? I'm on a Neo V with the Xperia T Home Launcher and it already has physical buttons for those, so it's kinda redundant to me.

In themes and apps theres a thread called no root required walkman app. Download that and install as normal apk and reboot. Its nice.! And works on neo l too!
