A.
1. You need ROOT access and CWM recovery
2. Download ICS domination theme for your ROM
3. Read the flashing instructions especially its your ROM is odexed
4. Flash via recovery
B.
1. Change your home launcher to one of, Apex launcher, Nova launcher, or Holo launcher HD.

Stock Ics theme on SGS2

Hi.
I just installed official ICS on my SGS2 and must say i was a bit disapointed about the look.
I really dont like Touchwiz...
I have tried CM9 and Resurrection lately and like the look.
I can use Nova launcher on the official Rom,so i can create maps..
BUT i cant get the nice icons in the dock, like stock ics themed icons as Phone, contacts,SMS etc...
So i wonder how i can get those icons in the dock, like in Resurrection?
Hope somebody can tell me,cause now im stuck with Touchwiz icons in the dock and they are not nice.
Feel the same

Sammy just blew it. I feel the same, touchwiz made ICS look as last year stuff. I'm very disappointed with the upgrade and looking for a more ICSistic experience
Apex launcher worked for me

Can someone make and CWM .zip Update that places the Stock Samsung ROM ICS Framework-res.apk file where must be?
I copy/paste another .apk over the stock one and now dont have UI, it just Boot Logo, and it freezes there ¬¬
And no, i dont wanna have to Format and erase everything and install the rom again
Anyone can help?
EDIT: I was thinking, CWM makes backup OF current Freeze after boot logo. So then i install the same rom again CLEAN, and then backup it > i select on CWM Restore the current Freeze after Boot logo rom with all data and apps and THEN i choose Advanced Backup and restore the Stock ICS backup but only the system? That will work?

TouchWiz Launcher, ICS LPQ...

Hi, i just installed a LPQ ROM, but it doesn't have the TouchWiz launcher (Yes, I like it), so i copied a touchwiz30.apk (something like that, i don't know if it's the correct one) in the system/app folder, but when i try to "open" the launcher it just forces close...!!! Has anyone experimented that??? Is there a fix? Or something like " TOCHWIZ 4.5 for ICS"?
TW UI is the default Launcher for the official Android 4.0.3 ROM
If you copied from GB, does`t work. Copy from stock LPQ rom
why do not you try the nova launcher? This is available in the market: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher

nova launcher is lame compared to tw4.5. nova is slow, and u cant even create folders as u can do in TW4.5 . lack of tw4.5 is the reason for me not to install 4.0.3.
probably he feels the same i do

Sounds like you didn't install the official release from Samsung. If you didn't, and the ROM maker removed the TouchWiz framework, you'd be better off re flashing the official Samsung release, as there are a lot more components than just that one .apk.

See above. Official Samsung releases will ALWAYS have TouchWiz.

[Q] Problem with ICS theme after installing!

[SIZE="4"]Hi,
I just installed the ICS 4.0.3 from a rom that i downloaded from here.
I installed using Odin and all went smoothly, but the problem is after installing the same old interface is still there.
What should i do to get the new ICS wonderful Interface (theme)?
Buy a Google phone or flash an AOSP based ROM.
Download Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher from the Play Store.

Practically you wont find any big changes in user interface as both uses touchwiz. you have two choices.
1.Read and learn more about aosp/aokp roms and flash it. you will get pure ics experience with those.
2.Simply change the launcher to apex or nova to get the ics feel.
The best choice
The best choice is a combination between the theme of Lord Vertumus and the trebuchet launcher....
Thnx
Thnx for replies

Okay guess I might as well help you out mate.
First of all you need to be running an ics aosp/aokp or cm9 rom they contain a special app which themes the entire framework of the phone, like the looks.
That theme will only work for them not any other rom unless it has theme Chooser, but on the other hand if you are a modder, you can open the apk and edit the images and replace with the current rom you are using. But if your on stocky there isn't much u can do. Holo locker and holo launcher HD is ur only Choice for the jelly bean look nova and apex also have jelly bean mods too.
Hope I helped.

well there is another solution cm 9 works great, and the theme will work on it perfect but you have to specify your phone, you'd rather have your phone stock.

there are many alternatives to change the stock icons
1. DO IT YOURSELF
decompile APK's and literally change lot of img inside
2. INSTALL A LAUNCHER
launchers like NovaLauncher, ADW, GoLauncher, etc support themes that are meant for their launcher
3. FLASH A ROM THAT SUPPORTS THEMES
ROMs that are AOKP/CyanogenMod based/AOSP/MIUI have lots of themes
if you are the android fanatic type, i suggest AOSP/AOKP/CM
if you think apple's icons look rather dashing, then i suggest grab MIUI
cheers!

Thanks for reply,
Maybe I forgot to say that I prefer stay in stock deodexed rom with original touchwiz home launcher. So I think the only way is decompile apk... is apktool good for this?
