If the Apple iPhone has iTunes, and Windows Phone has Zune, what does the Android have?
I tried Google Music Manager, but it is strange. I want a desktop manager than I can sync my music to for Windows 7. Does anyone know what program I can use besides manually adding them to my device?
I just installed doubleTwist for the Android and PC. It's what I was looking for so far. Anyone know anything better?
There is a real player app. I personally don't keep music or listen to music on my computer. I like xenoAmp music player, you can find it here in xda. Just search it.

You may want to check out http://www.winamp.com/. I've been a pretty loyal Winamp fan for years on the desktop, and their android app is definitely a very solid player that also includes nifty features like wireless sync over WiFi.
There are tons of music manager for Windows. Personally, I just manage my music manually and sync the music folder on my PC to the Android SDcard. You can use program like Microsoft SyncToy for syncing.
For programs that can sync music onto portable devices, try Winamp. Although I like Clementine, which is a lighter version of Amarok.

I have tried Media Monkey, Winamp and Double Twist. Media Monkey and Winamp seem to have problems with syncing the playlists and I just dont like Doubletwist that much. Any suggestions on how to sync the Galaxy Player?
Does the Samsung Kies sync program that came with the Galaxy Player sync playlists? I have not figured out a way to do this. If that works, the Kies is the way to sync your files. I do use it to sync my videos but music works but not the playlists as far as I can tell.
FORGOT: Another option is to use Google Music! Sync via the cloud.
Google music is good, but the lack of lockscreen controls kills it for me. I've been using double twist though.

I didn't like that either until I got the Widget Locker app. I added the Google Music Widget to the lockscreen. Not perfect, but does work as an option.
I can share my audio setup, a bit complicated actually.
For frequently listen music, I simply copy the flac files from my Qnap NAS to my Galaxy Player. The entire collection is over 100G in lossless flacs, so it is basically impossible to sync to the player without transcoding (which I don't want to do).
For less frequently listen music, I can do that via streaming on my Galaxy Player. The software needed are
1. Squeeze Center (server software) installed on the Qnap NAS
2. SqueezePlayer App on my Galaxy Player acting as the "virtual player"
3. SqueezeCommander App on my Galaxy Player acting as the "remote control" controlling the server and send the audio stream to the player app.
If you have a solid wifi connection to your home, you can stream your entire collection to your player at CD quality. There are other streaming apps but my home audio setup is already tied to Squeezebox, so I end up with this rather odd setup.
I use Banshee in Ubuntu.
I have a lot of playlists made on iTunes so I like Double Twist. In addition to the music organization that similar players do it seamlessly imports songs and playlists from iTunes.
iSyncr
I have used a lot of the different mentioned apps to sync my itunes lib with my player, and iSyncr is by far the easiest and best. It allows to add music to either internal or SD card memory.

Definitely, Isyncr is the easiest way for me to sync music for me since i use itunes. It's really easy, if you've had an ipod before and synced music from itunes you'll notice that Isyncr syncs all the artists, albums and other tags perfectly.
To Synch with the stock music appliation or any other application:

Share the your music folder on the network
(right click -> properties -> sharing)
Add a new user with login / password
Install application
Add account -> your login / password for your windows share
Share method = Samba/CIFS
Setup the remote folder and your local music folder choose one way synch (PC - > Player)
Choose how often to synch

I like many others like to have there music organized and tagged properly. I know Apples has Itunes to do this for them. Is there a program that does similar for Android or a good solution for this? I know about doubletwist and dont really wanna use that way.

I'm referring to a music syncing program for android.
Windows Media Player, Winamp, and many others. If it's just syncing you want to do I would recommend Winamp. It also does wireless syncing if you get the Android app as well.

I want to sync all my music with iTunes since I have everything sorted through it (playlists, album art, etc). I don't like Kies at all and half the sync failed.

For what it's worth, that EasyPhoneSync didn't work for me. It spent 3 hours syncing ~40GB of music but when it finished it told me it couldn't sync any of it. Tried it twice with no luck.

I personally have fully moved away from iTunes and couldn't be happier. I use MediaMonkey on my desktop to play/sort and everything, and I use Google Music to either stream or download for offline listening any songs/play lists I want. It's nice having access to my whole music collection from any computer with an Internet connection

I just copied and pasted all of my songs from iTunes into a Music folder and put them on my phones internal storage. Can't get any easier than that.
OP: Upload iTunes library to Google Play. Download App. Open App. Done.
Best part is, music doesn't take up any SD space.
Agree, using Google Play (music) is the easiest and best way. You can also access your music on any computer.

I think the best option is iSyncr and iSyncr Wifi. That has worked flawlessly for me. With Google Play I always get duplicates in the playlists.
I use audiogalaxy to stream music from my computer. Works great!

Hi All,
Having moved over to an S3 from a iPhone... and leaving Apple forever... I'd like to get access to all my iTunes music. Don't care about playlists and stuff... just want the music.
Questions...
1. Is there a way of getting all the music out of iTunes and into another desktop replacement for iTunes?
2. Obviously I ultimately want to get all my music onto my S3... so bearing that in mind, what the best way of integrating my phone with a desktop music player?
Ultimately I want to completely uninstall iTunes and remove Apple from my life totally!!!

I should have said, I'm in the UK... and Google Music doesn't work here. So not an option.
There must a good way of transferring all my music from iTunes to a different desktop player which will integrate with an Android device?

I'm in Spain and Google Music doesn't work from here either. But that didn't stopped me finding the apk on Google and installing it on my phone. Now Google Music works as charm lol.

if you use a pc than you can use the windows media player to synchronize your phone with your local music library. since the galaxy s3 mounts as mtp device media player will recognize it when plugged in (while media player being open) and ask you if you want to sync your stuff onto it.
another method would be installing samsung kies onto your system. i think it can sync your media files to the phone as well.
if u want cable usb tranfer
winamp is ur best bet, its a bit buggy but it works.
if u want wireless tranfers. u now have 50gb+ on dropbox, buy dropsync from store.
it amazing. it only syncs what u need, do it over wifi, to save money.

If your on windows then open the music folder and click folder properties and unhide all files. After you done that a folder called iTunes media will appear, Click it and all your songs are there.
If you're on mac then in the search preferences click unhide all files and click it, after that go to your music folder and find the iTunes media folder and drag all the music into your s3..
i use the app iSyncr from Google Play Store, it lets u sync your Playlists, albums, last played it also supports ratings and play counts.
there's also a wifi sync support.
Their is a thread possibly a sticky for moving from ITunes but it might be in SGS2 forum .

Recently doubletwist's desktop app has been horrible. It exports all my playlists from Doubletwist into Itunes and never closes the initial export playlist dialogue. I am looking for a great music player with a great desktop client. Hopefully one that can sync easily with Itunes. I tried Easy Phone Tunes but it does not sync a lot of my iTunes correctly.
Also one preferably where if I delete a song on the android end, it would sync and delete it permenantly on the desktop end
