Hi, this is my first tutorial mod for droid razr, i will share how to change black gradient looks on Paranoid Android Rom become to solid black like on Slimkat rom with TRDS mode On xD . Some people maybe use xposed framework and module but i try to mod the framework because i dont use xposed . This mod also affect on other apps which use holo dark background like root explorer, safestrap, calculator etc.
For this Mod you will need
- PA rom ( i currently use PA 4 beta 7 for umts spyder)
- Apk tool/apk multitool/Ricky Kitchen tool etc
- Notepad ++
- Winrar/Winzip
- Patient and brain LOL
1. First you must know how to decompile and compile APK, i am using Ricky Rom Kitchen for doing this but you can another apps too like APK Multitool, APK tool etc
2. Now time to mod, first take your framework-res.apk from rom (its located on system/framework) and decompile it
3. Now open with notepad++ >> framework-res.apk/res/drawable/background_holo_dark.xml
4. You will see this
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<shape
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
<gradient android:startColor="#ff000000" android:endColor="#ff272d33"" android:angle="270.0" />
</shape>
5. Change android:endColor="#ff272d33"" with android:endColor="#ff000000" and save them
6. Compile it again but its not finish yet
7. Now on your apktool you will see unsignedframework-res.apk , open it with winzip and delete Meta-inf folder and androidmanifest xml and copy Meta-inf folder and androidmanifest.xml from original framework-res.apk
8. Rename unsignedframework-res.apk become framework-res.apk and copied back to your phone ( i recommend made a backup rom or just flashable zip framework-res.apk just in case if it failed and bootloop )
9. Now with Root Explorer copy your Framework-res.apk to the /system and set permission first RW-R-R and move it to framework folder, if its ask to overwrite answer yes
10. Reboot your phone and enjoy
this is how its look

3Minit Battery Mod for Stock Nabi2 Rom v3.0.13 ( KitKat)
( De-Odexed )
Well I performed the Mod for myself but am sharing it with you all Nabi2 Owners that would like this mod for yourselves. At the moment I do not have a flashable. It is a De-Odexed
SystemUI.apk. I do not know if just removing the original with the Odex version and pasting this one will work. You will have to try it for yourself. As always and I suggest this to many before
attempting any mods, please please please perform a backup of your entire Nabi2 or just the file in question before attempting the mod.
What's Needed / Recommended:
Rooted Device ( to extract the needed files Manually for backup )
File Explorer ( with Root Access )
Custom Recovery ( TWRP for Flashing the ZIP and/or using the File Manager or a Custom Aroma File Manager)
If you can do it via ADB Commands then all power to you.....
I provided BOTH the stock and modded NABI2 SystemUI.apk. I will make a flashable zip ( coming soon ) below
What To Do:
First off, go to the link provided at the bottom of this post to download the 3Minit Battery App. Install this before installing the SystemUI.apk. Then you have two choices on installing the SystemUI.apk file. You can either Flash the ZIP in TWRP ( which at the moment is not available ) or manually copy & paste or push the .apk file to system/priv-app/. If you decide to do this manually, you will then need to set the file permissions to the modified SystemUI.apk file to 0644. Before manually pasting the file in the priv-app folder, you can rename the stock SystemUI.apk file with " .bak " ( ex. SystemUI.apk.bak ) at the end so you don't have to delete it from the priv-app folder if you so choose. Now this can be done with a file explorer with root capabilities or by going through TWRP you can either use the built in File Manager and set permissions via the terminal with chmod commands or Install/Flash the Aroma File Manager in recovery to use like a simple File manager where you can hold down on the file to get a popup window to copy/paste or set permissions manually.
Example of permissions to set to file:

HI all, I want to share a deodex system folder from my Pace and how to do that
DOWNLLOAD DEODEX SYSTEM FOLDER <- Open any apk in it with "jadx-gui-0.8.0"
How to extrack source from apk (I used win10):
1: Push wanted folder/file from watch (i extract all system folder with AS)
2: Download JoelDroid Lollipop Batch Deodexer V 2.5 (WARNING I try with other deodex program and not work correctly!!"https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/script-app-joeldroid-
lollipop-batch-t2980857"
3: Go into folder to work and rename all the "mips" folder to "arm" (I use "Flexible Renamer" to rename all folder in one click)
4: Open JoelDroid Lollipop Batch Deodexer V 2.5 click "browser" and select the folder to work, than click "start process" and wait a log as a lot how lot apk need to be process
PS final work are into the oringin folder and replace the compiled version
5: Use "jadx-gui-0.8.0" to open an apk and you can save or directly explore with it
This is the deodexer I use on Win10 which supports MIPS and no need to rename any file or folder: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71959392&postcount=813

This method seems to work best for changing bootanimations on the OP8/Pro.
How to add your own bootanimation:
Download [Magisk]OPGoogle.zip
On computer, "Open Archive" of this zip with 7zip or similar program
Navigate to system>product>media in with this open
Pull bootanimation of your choice into this folder (must be named "bootanimation.zip")
Make sure it is similar ratio/description as original bootanimation in this folder!
Go back and make sure the archive is saved.
Now navigate to root of this zip and open module.prop in an txt editor (I use VSCodium but many will work like notepad++, etc)
Change information here to your own and
Save it somewhere on your computer before pulling it into the open archive to replace the one in it
Navigate back and make sure to archive saves and close
Now you have a flashable bootanimation module for OP8/Pro
The attached bootanimation is a Google/Pixel BootAnimation (black). Enjoy! ^o^
Again, big thanks to @Extreme_Ninja2099 . Hope they don't mind me making this guide lmk
