Hello,
How to integrate a Bootanimation.zip directly into the kitchen a rom S3 ?
It works via CWM but I want to integrate directly in the compilation of my rom.
Where to place the boot.zip (what directory) What should I do and change in other files?
Thank you in advance

If you are using dsixda's kitchen.. There is an option to add boot animation to your rom.. It creates boot animation folder in the /data folder where in you can drop your animation file..

bootsamsung.gmg and bootsamsungloop.gmg are the Original Samsung boot animation files .
You only have bootanimation zip if you installed one or you rom is custom with a bootanimation zip

Go here : http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/ You can get lots of themes, icons, fonts etc. The boot animation doesn't work on stock roms apparently, but you can try. Everything else works fine.
Currently making a rom and would like to change the default theme to another theme. Any ideas?
Cyanbread and/or androidian. apk in system/app folder.

Wrong answer...
You could be right, but no...
That are not the default themes...
I think you should drag and drop the files from your theme into the framework file and compile and sign. That should do it.
Or do you mean a theme enabled by default but not default theme?
Greets!

Try wipe cache and dalvik, and sign correctly. I admit that it is strange.
Greets!
Edit: did you sign, compile?

Hi,
check for what exactly ?
there is nothing special .. as I said .. if I flash the ROM and the theme separately then every thing is ok ...
all I did was replace the files in the zip..and then I get stucj at bootanimation.
I didn't sign or compile...
I have a theory : the SystemUI has a battery percentage and the apk has new files in it... could it be the problem ?

First: to clarify;
you have a couple APKs for your Tab.
You place them in a flashable zip, flash, bootblock
you have a ROM for your Tab,
you grab the .zip, and replace the theme APKs, flash, and it works?
THat is really strange...
Hi,
thanks for answering me mDroidd ...
I found the problem.. it is the SystemUI.apk
I copied all the theme files to my ROM zip except that file and the device boot ok.
why does this file need to be flashed in a separate zip ?
is there another way ?

Hi friends,
Is there a way to get the boot animation from a custom ROM? I have a SGS2 and currently installed NeatROM Lite and want to get the splash/boot screen of that.
Please guide me on how to successfully replace a boot animation for the NeatROM lite.

I just usually use apps or find cool ones online, but if you have the zip file, open it up and there should be a 'bootanimation' file in system > bin.
I'm guessing you could just copy that into the system > bin folder on your phone? Can't see why that wouldn't work.

Hi.
I am trying to build custom rom for Galaxy Note(N7000)
I am trying to build a custom rom with base as stock rom(XXLT5)
I went through some tutorials on XDA, but they were only some basic stuff.
I had lot of questions in mind, and after searching for hours didn't get some help,so posted so maybe some one can help.
I flashed my own rom with some build.prop tweaks and changed wallpaper in framework-res.apk.
But it flashed with no problems.
1] I had lost root but I used Philz kernel(copied all stuff into respective folder)
2]I don't get about the META-INF Folder because I tried to put some s4 mods such as sec.settings.apk,s4 status bar, they also had META-INF but I didn't know what to do with it. I copied the apk of sec.settings into preload /syslink/system/app.
3]When the rom started default-wallpaper didn't changed and any mods didn't applied,so don't know what to do.
Can please any-one say what should I do,and where to put META_INF folder, because all apks aur mods has META_INF folder and will replace every time I put a mod in it.
Please Help Guys.....
please explain it more, didn't get you, what you actually want to do ?

What is use of META_INF, if want to replace some system apk, there is a meta inf folder in that too, so If I extract it in rom,so it will replace the META_INF folder in the rom.
