Hi, thank you for the awesome bootanimation. It was truly much awaited. Can we have a video of your phone booting up with this animation?
Thanks!!
P.S. : This is the bootanimation from Nexus Prime right? I don't think it would be right to call it "Android 4.0 bootanimation".

it means this animation adds almost 1 minute to boot sequence. my stock rom boots around 30 secs.
nice one...loved it
thanks, is nice startup animation
Nice one
Until now I use the ''without xperia'' boot animation with colorful X animation ... from now I use this one. F*kin amazing one
PS: If you edit the animation and remove the last black frame from it you can make it infinity - endless loop
I edit mine and its amazing now
It works great and looks great thanks man
(I'm new to replacing boot animations so forgive me if this is a stupid question...)
I'd like to use this on my Kindle Fire, no chance we could get a higher res version, is there? (Optimally 1024x600).
nice, downloading.

I encountered some problems and need some answers while making a cm7 rom.
( Be Prepared )
1.How to change the whole theme while making the rom? I downloaded a cm7 theme but it just gives an apk file (I need to boot so I can change it in theme chooser), but how can I change it from the start like Sonygenmod and ICS ROM !!?
2.Boot animation does not show up, I tried to put the bootanimation.zip in data/local does not work, tried in System/media where the ORIGINAL bootanimation.zip is but still nothing.
3.Lockscreen themes give something like wltheme.zip , where can I use them and change the lockscreen from the start like problem 1?
Please help if you can, cause I'm dying to finish this ROM
1) You need to edit framework-res.apk and systemui.apk
2)might be your boot animation have some problems.
3) idk sorry

lol u guys dint knew about dis ??
Here I will share about random bootanimation script
this script can randomise your bootanimation when your phone startup
and i think this will help dev to add this feature on their roms
How it Works
The script executes on startup, generates a random number, assigns this number to a boot animation stored in /data/local/bootanimations/, copies that animation to /data/local/bootanimation.zip and let's Android take over from there. Android will automatically prefer /data/local/bootanimation.zip to the one stored by your ROM in /system/media/.
You just put any valid boot animation in /data/local/bootanimations/ - calling it what you wish - and the script will do the rest. You should not try and call all of your boot animations "bootanimation.zip" - you need to give them a unique name.
Installation
Upon installing the script will automatically back up any custom animation you have in /data/local/ to /data/local/bootanimations/CustomAnimBackup.zip and this animation will be among those randomly selected.
Download one of the files below
take it to sdcard
Flash it from cwm recovery
Reboot and enjoy
Hit 'Thanks' below
System Requirements
this script work flawlessly on galaxy Y rom who supports init.d script
Download scripts here - http://www.mediafire.com/?3a61hbn8935byq3
inside that zip,I include 3 custom bootanimation..but u can replace it yourself
Super thanks to DJMcnz for this script...
and thanks for member facebook group who try this script on my rom
sorry if my english is bad
hehe...have a nice day all

Hey XDA,
This is my first ever post here and I'm going to share a boot animation I made for the Xperia U. I think this will work on the Xperia Sola too, as it has the same resolution (480x854). Im not able to add images because I don't have 10 posts yet, but I included a preview in the archive (in the attachment).
How to install
1. Extract the file (you will get bootanimation.zip and preview.gif)
2. Copy bootanimation.zip to your phone.
3. Move it into /system/media (you might want to rename the original bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak or something like that)
4. Change permissions to rw-r--r-- (you can do this with root browser)
5. Reboot your phone to see it!
I hope you like it! :good:

I'd like to make one for Xperia P but I'm not 100% sure if it would work if I just change the resolution, and I don't have that phone to test it on. However here is the guide I used: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1993710
I used GIMP for editing the logo and After Effects CC for animation it and exporting it as frames.
thanks :good:
DO NOT MIRROR LINK, RESPECT MY PROJECT.
Images are contained in multiple folders, so no black screen, and have the size of 1080x1920 for Z3.
The information used for the lines are as real as it goes, and is based on the D6643/03 - all model.
Have fun!

Extract the bootanimation.zip folder and put it in System / Media folder replacing the original one.
But before, rename the original one or move it sonewhere else.
Set permission 0644 hence rw-r--r--
Use RootExplorer.
