NFC Technology - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

So everybody knows that new Xperia line supports NFC technology, yesterday I realized that my phone detects some of my student cards and my ID card, it just beeps to note that it detected something, but nothing pops up, maybe there is some software that would read the info from NFC cards, like cash and other info, please share your ideas.

If they are key cards you don't swipe then of course nfc will detect them.
If I understood you right you want to know if the phone can save the studentcards and use the phone instead?
If yes then I can tell you that the idea of nfc is just this.

You almost understood my, I asked if phone can read the information from NFC card like that, I mean how much money is left on it and etc...

Mostly there is only an id code saved on the cards. Money, times and these things are mostly saved on an server.
for reading the card you can use this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=se.anyro.nfc_reader&hl=de
but i think you will find nothing usefull.

There is an app which kinda works backwards, you scan the card and then tell the app what you want it to do when that specific card is scanned. Saves to the fone rather than the card. I'll try find it. I used to do it with my barclaycard. Lol

Spen not working?

Bought a note from a fellow xda-er, and I find him to completely trustworthy when he said it worked perfect for him, but when I received it, I cannot get the spen to work no matter what I do. Ive tried pressing the button, not pressing it, tap and hold, short taps, long taps, and absolutely no response. touch screen works flawlessly. according to the receipt, this thing is less than a week old lol. Its my first experience with a note, and I love it, but Id also like to use the spen xD
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Note: I do not have an att account, so Im not sure what they would do if I went in and asked them about it.

{Q}My GS3 become unstable and really hot....

Guys i have a serious problem with my phone....I have rooted and unrooted gs3....now its official and not rooted. The problem which i have is that the results of antutu are really unstable and becomes warm with two tests...I have got 16000 points and now i get 11000-13000(in antutu)....To reach 15000 again i have to let the phone get cold and start again the test....But this behavior is a little bit stange so i rely on your answers guys!
Have a nice day!
Had same problem on my S3 too. Im afraid you cant do anything about it. The heating problem should be gone in less than a week. After that your S3 should be back to normal.

I hope my gs3 come back to normal, but i dont think so...Does your gs3 works fine now???Can you donwload Antutu and run tests and post your results...It would help me alot!

I got 15000+ on mine. When your GS3 gets really hot it gets a lower score. The second time i run antutu i only got 13000. I think this problem is connected to the sudden death thing.

Well, samsung said it has something to do with their software and they have fixed it already. But the issue is still their. Lets just hope the upcoming 4.2.2 update for our GS3 will fix the issue, the update should arrive this may or june.

So you people are running stress tests on a stock rom, including a stock kernel? In that case please expect the phone to get hot, then slow down drastically when it does.
The stock kernel has conservative thermal throttling built in, nothing to do with SDS. It's behaving exactly as it should and I wouldn't advise trying to 'make it better'. Search here in Q&A for 'I killed my phone by overclocking'.

turns out there realy isnt an app you can push onto the phone that will locate it. plan b doesn't work for note2.but finding the guy who was at your house. beating him with a small bat in the face until he reveals the buyer of the phones location then going there with your a .38 and knocking on the door does.
btw for anyone who has not done it yet. install some kind of tracking app right now. you dont want to know what its like to loss it.

Digitizer issue

I have my xt910 for about a year now (bought it brand new) and I have spotted some digitizer issues. Before rooting my device I've noticed that sometimes the recognized touch point was far away from the actual touch point. It actually was at the same vertical line, but far higher. Imagine pressing the space virtual key and the recognized touch is about at the middle of the screen.
So one of my first moves was to root the device, as I thought it would be a software issue.(Here in Greece the device won't upgrade to the official 4.1) Still no luck though after trying several ROMs, so my second thought was the scratched screen protector that I had from the first day I bought it. After replacing it, still the problem persists...
What else should I try to fix this??
PS1: It doesn't do this all the time, but randomly, and it randomly fixes itself.
PS2: When it does it, I think it recognizes 2 spots, the actual touch point and one more above that.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I had to send my phone in to get a replacement so what I did was delete all the data and cache from my rooted apps before deleting them. I also went into my file manager and deleted all files that had anything to do with root off my system and finally re flashed via RSD lite. That got rid of root access but idk about the bootloader cause mine is locked still.

That should work for you. I had an incredible 2 with unlocked bootloader that I had to send it for a warranty issue and I just used an unroot method. I'm guessing it worked cause I never got charged for the new phone or anyone contacting me about it. I didn't use RSD though. The unroot method never said anything about locking the bootloader again, just removing root access. I'm assuming it locked it though. I would look into if RSD will lock the bootloader again if you were to flash back to stock.

S3 Screen not turning on.

I bought a S3 from someone and he said that the phone needs to be re-flashed. when the phone turns on, it boots up fines. blue light at top, Samsung boot sound, the touch works as u can hear the water effects thing to unlock the phone. he claims he tried the LCD in another S3 motherboard and the LCD works, I don't know if he's telling the truth or not. Can a software cause the screen to not turn on. doesn't turn on at all. I flashed a stock rom with ODIN and did factory reset in recovery mode. i can also go in download mode as well. the phone works well, i used the POWER + HOME buttons to take snapshops on the screen to kinda browse through the phone, everything works, WIFI, bluetooth. it's not picking up signal tho. it's saying "Not registered on network" when i try to make a call, but it recognizes my sim card and stuff. anyways I don't know if he indeed went into the phone's root system files and messed something up or not. please help !
