Hi, I Really like Go sms pro but its just not that great and i want something like an ICS Themed messaging app with pop up text like go sms pro, does anyone know any alternative like that?

Can someone tell me how to get rid of this please. For some reason it gives me 2 different notifications everytime I get a txt. The one in the pic is the one I want to get rid of. Thanks in advance

go into your regular messaging app that came with the phone, menu, settings, scroll down and uncheck notification

Well finally figured it was the black froyo mms that keeps making it send 2different messages, damn anyone know a similar message theme to black froyo's?

Hi all. New the the Atrix! I had an HTC Desire before and I actually prefered it because HTC Sense seemed so practical. Im going to continue with the Atrix tho.
One thing I find strange is when I recieve a new text message, the only visual notification I get is in the bar at the top. On the HTC it would place a little number on the icon to let me know have unread messages. Any idea on how I can get the Atrix to do this?

Some launchers have an extra option to set if you want an unread messages counter or not (Launcher Pro for example). And some launchers need extra stuff (GO Launcher).

I found handcent slow sometimes, but the popup and the overload of settings is why i keep using it

Is GoSms the only sms app that has pop up with reply feature? None other I've found has this feature. I love apex too much to switch to Go Launcher.
Popup SMS is nice, but it doesn't have a reply feature on the pop up window, worse part is, it doesn't even have a button to go to the message. Only button to go to inbox and then having to click on the message.

you don't need to change launcher, when using Go SMS
Sms popup works great. Smaller program. Have it on my one x now

Hey guys, SMS alternative for galaxy s4? I've been using hangouts, but I switched back to stock cause I love the lockscreen setting. The stock messaging lags though, so it gets annoying from time to time. Anyone got better ones than those two? I've used textra, goSMS, sliding messaging pro, and 8sms. any underrated ones i haven't heard about?

I've been using sliding sms. I like it quite a bit its a 4.4 kitkat based messaging app with some hangouts features

I personally use the once named Ninja SMS, now known as Hoverchat. Uses the floating heads/windows like Facebook messenger. Have had no issues with it.

I've been using Cyanogen Mod's messaging app. It's not that bad, i'll try your suggestions after i get tired of this one. THANKS GUYS!
