Hi!
I have installed the MIUI Rom in my Razr, but I can not make the ROOT, I follow the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756659, but when I try upgrade the su binary in the Superuser app, I get the message that access ROOT was not allowed.
What am I doing wrong?
One question: in step 6, says: "Install the Busybox PRO and choose root access."
Where is this option? I don't see.
Thanks!

I am a Chinese user, I did not expect the miui development turned out to foreign countries, if we use the version of miui same, I think I can answer your question. After installing the software needs root privileges (for example, titanium backup), the phone will automatically ask whether to open root privileges.

I use the English version, and when I install a new app, any option for ROOT appear.
You needed install the Superuser app?

I do not see any of these options.
In the desktop page 2, there is a folder called Security Centre.
In this folder, have the apps: Network Assist, Anti Virus, Security, Backup, App Control, Permission Manager and a chinese app.

Ok guys, in the Superuser options, I change the "Automatic action" to "Allow" (before he was in "Request", but I was not consulted for root permissions).
Problem solved, I would prefer that I be asked, but if there is no other way...

I think in my case the LBE Guard was changed to "Permission Manager", since, from what I saw, both do the same things.
Thanks to those who tried to help me.

Hi,
Please help, I did rsd, flashed retail.en.EU, then did OTA from SD. Everything works great, but I lost my root. (Voodoo keeper didnt worked somehow). Voodoo shows that: su installed - YES, device rooted - YES, root permission granted - NO, system supports root protection - YES, protected SU copy available - NO. Only button I can hit in voodoo is "protect root" and then it tells "root su protected". But the thing is that Superuser does not allow (not even asks) any superuser permission to no apps. And every other root checker apps states that device isnt rooted. So I want to ask You guys:
Is there some way to restore the root I had? And if no:
How to delete/uninstall/remove Superuser from my system. Because SU was installed during the root process, and there is no option to uninstall it. Just disable, uninstall updates.
BIG THANKS!

So you must wait for the developers to make a root program so you can root your phone

Hi,
I really like the slim bean rom.
However, I would like to unroot my phone.
Can I unroot my phone and still keep slim bean?
If yes, how?
Thanks for your help!
in the superuser app settings
Thanks Glebun!
However, it is already set to disabled.
For example my Good for Enterprise app still fails the compliance check.
So I would like to know if I can completely unroot my phone while still keeping Slim Bean.
what superuser app are you using? SuperSU allows for a full unroot

Exactly.
I can't find a superuser.apk on my phone.
It's not visible in as an app anywhere.
There is no option to uninstall if I open superuser via the settigns - superuser menu..
I've searched the internet to no end and I'm getting more and more confused.
Hope you can help.

I did install supersu, but again installing it and then uninstalling it still leaves me with the "# Superuser" setting in the settings menu and it's still rooted.
By the way: I just installed another superuser app (I think it is from the CM mod) and I get a notice saying "Normal, the 'su' file needs to be edited. Choose an installation method. 'Via recovery' is recommended for HTC-devices.
So no succes there.
installing and the uninstalling it will have no effect. read my post - supersu has a setting for a full unroot, use it

root consists of 2 elements
1) The app (or settings) which is a gateway to root if you like, but not actually root itself
2) The SU binary /system/bin/su. This is what actually gives root. The above just allows or denies root access. Using one of the superuser apps, you should be able to unroot, removing this. The settings menu will always remain but means nothing.
You may just be able to use a file manager with root permissions to delete the binary.
that is what I meant

Guys: you're the best!
Turns out that I had to reboot (duh) before the change took effect.
Now I have slimbean 4.2.2 unrooted and can make use of Good for Enterprise.
Thanks a bunch!
A small summary:
1. Install SuperSU.
2. Use the "Full unroot" function of SuperSU.
3. Reboot

Just got my G525, and i must say its really nice!
While i was browsing the default apps i noticed a Chinese SU app that couldn't understand.. so i deleted it and install Koush SU... but for my bad luck ( i guessed that if it already had a SU app that it would be rooted) sadly it isn't Root.
Anyone have any ideas how to root the G525?
Thanx in advance

Did it work?
I am very new to this and in the past my older brother was taking care of all my "technology problems" . I just bought one for myself, since I have just lost my old huawei..... I am currently still in china, but planning to go back to germany. I really want to get my google account restored/google market. I read a lot of threads regarding this topic, but still want to clarify some questions. I would rly appreciate ur help/input.
I know that in order to get google market running on the huawei g525, u will need to root the phone. Once it is rooted u will need to find a english/german android version ROM for the phone. There seems to be some talking about entering the recovery mode somehow (i dont rly understand this step). After the ROM is on the phone, u can download google market and access ur google account?
Here goes my questions :
1.) How to root my phone? Special program needed or pressing three key combo (volume + power + call)?
2.) Where to find a english/german android version ROM? On the website of Huawei? How to install it?
3.) Further steps?
Apparently there is another way to this all, by using a SD card and some kind of recovery zip:
Last option that i read was after rooting ur phone and installing 2-3 apk files.:
These are the steps:
1.Make sure your phone rooted and the R.E Explore been installed
2.Make sure you have GoogleLoginservice.apk and GoogleserviceFramework.apk
3.Copy the 2 apk(GLoginservice and GserviceFrame) into your SD card.
4.Open RE.Explore and find the 2 apk(GoogleLoginservice.apk and GoogleserviceFramework.apk), Copy them.
5.Paste them into System/App.
6.Restart your Phone.
7.You can login gmail/gtalk/Google play with your Google account now!
Thanks in advance for the help and sorry for the long thread !

There is one, it's really easy...
1) Install ADB Drivers and enable developer mode (google for that)
2) Download 'Impactor' from http://www.cydiaimpactor.com/
3) Open the app, you will see '# drop SuperSU su to /system/xbin/su'
3) Click 'Start'
4) It will check for exploits, if it's successful; continue, otherwise stop here
5) Install 'Superuser' from the PlayStore
6) Click 'tap to check for updates' and update
7) There will be a request for superuser access, accept it
8) Rooted!
Greetings
PS Just did this, it worked very well!

Huawei G525 stock rom with internal storage (/system) problems!
Hello all,
Huawei G525 owners, could you please verify original stock ROM () with error in /system partition?
Specifically I have in the local storage a folder named e2fsck_log which in every reboot fills up with error files regarding:
/dev/block/mmcblk0p17: Inode 14881 has imagic flag set.
/dev/block/mmcblk0p17: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY. (i.e., without -a or -p options)
I have no idea if I can ran e2fsck because with adb I only get a $ shell (not root), and if I don't want to root the phone.
Does anybody else has the same problem? Please check if you have e2fsck folder with contents in Local Storage and confirm (that might be a stock rom Bug or something else - internal memory block problem!)...
Thanks

Look man, superuser is ROOT. Either your phone is rooted or it is not. A rooted phone can run apps that require it like ClockworkMod ROM Manager, Titanium Backup, Greenify, Wireless Tether for Root Users, File managers like Root Explorer or ES File Manager if you want to be able to access the system areas of the phone. So far as I know, there is no "SuperUser of ClockworkMod". If your phone is rooted (You will see superuser or "Super SU" in your app drawer. Here is a free app from the playstore that will tell you if your phone is rooted or not.
Root Checker
Install it and use it to see if your phone is still rooted or if you lost root somehow. If you still have root, then when CWM starts, it will ask for root privileges and the first time it asks, you will be prompted to grant it, once, for a certain time period, or forever. For stuff like CWM, root file managers, and Titanium Backup, you always grant root forever and you will not be asked again until the app updates and requires you to okay granting root privileged or not, then you grand forever and leave it alone.
If you find out you do not have root or lost your root, then you have to root the phone and the procedure is different for different devices, versions, and ROMS. For that kind of help, you have to search for rooting <your particular device and android version number>

It is not rooted. Any app that requires root privilege will not be functional.
That being said, there are known methods to "root" Remix OS. A "systemless" method is to be found elsewhere in this forum.

Android apps can't get root access without modifying the RemixOS installation, however there is a command prompt with root access that you can enable in the experimental options part of the settings app. Once enabled you can press Alt+F1 to get to it, and Alt+F7 to get back to the desktop. It's not as useful as full root access, but it works if you just want to remove system files or disable some apps that you can't disable using the settings app.
