I bought a HTC Flyer 7 inch 32GB 3G WiFi
but when I connect it to my computer, it read as only 19.6GB (as attached picture) not near or close to 32 GB as it said .
Why???
That is normal. Just under 20 GB is available as user storage on the 32 GB Flyer.
The rest is partitioned for the OS and apps.
Thank you, That clear out my confuse.

Not 100% but I think its 16 gig. Use the search function, chances are you'll come up with something.
16 gb available, 32 gb announced. That's at least what I saw... It's possible there are 32 gb already available, but not sure what Class (speed).
ye that 32 confused me.
I am new with those cards cause never had such tec before.
Had my HTC Touch HD 1 week now and would be nice to have a big card also
I found that there are classes of those cards(like calss 1 and 2) i figure calss 1 is better?
WHen i am buying the card where can i see the speed of the card(example when i want order those from ebay).
As i undersstand only 1 card can be in phone at the time.(sim+memory)
like here:

Class X means speed. Actually class 6 is the fastest one for those SD or mini SD cards.
16gb micro sdhc is the largest that is availiable at this time, in speeds up to class 6
32gb will work, but you cannot yet buy them anywhere (please correct me if im wrong )

ok, so they are both non micro sd.. doh
The upper-end of the microSDHC category has been reached! Samsung has announced that they’re working on 32 GB memory cards, which will be good news to media hogs who have long capped out 16 GB cards on their mobile phones. This is the first microSD card to hit 32 GB, and is the last denomination before moving to the microSDXC format, which will handle 32 GB – 2 TB. I talked with the SD association at CES this year, and it seems unlikely that we’ll have any micro cards breaking into 32 GB in the next six months (maybe something late next year, if I had to guess). That should at least give manufacturers some time to update their hardware to support XC. Samsung also announced that they’ll have a new 64 GB designation of their moviNAND memory, clocking in at 30-nm and 0.7mm high. The first 32 GB cards will be commercially available after mass production kicks in around February 2010.
More info on SDXC cards along with a time chart, here:

Class 6 means minimum 6mb/sec for memory write.
It doesn't mean that class 4 can't be faster than class 6 .... but with time flash memory gets slower . It's better to have "insurance" for bigger minimum
i am quite sure i read somewhere that the hd was able to support (theorically ofc) upto 64gb memory card. am i wrong ?
I am thinking of investing in a 64 GB MicroSDXC (from Amazon once available) -- Not going to get stung by fakes, no sir!
Many websites claim that the maximum many of the android phones (The GT-I9100 included) can support is 32 GB Micro SDHC. However, in my being in the phone market for a while, I know there is a difference between "Supports" and "Works with up to".
Some people on the HTC Evo 3D forum (which is the phone I had before this one) are claiming that their Evo's are working with 64 GB Micro SDXC.
Does anyone here have any success or failure stories with said MicroSD, does it work? Does it allow full writing and reading to all 64 GB or does it only allow up to 32?
They work but you have to let the phone reformat the card to a fat32 file system. You do get the full storage space.
I've been using mine for 2 months now -- once I reformatted it to FAT32, it's worked flawlessly.
Hi,
64GB µSD works

Thanks for all your replies! I will now place one on preorder
I just got my HTC jetstream 2 weeks ago. I ordered the 32 g. Tablet arrived in a box that said 32 g. Storage inside says 16g. I am getting the run around from my provider and HTC Tec support about this. Telling me there is 32g. Of which there is 16 I can't see .. this make any sense.? Any one else encountered this ?

Hi to all,
I have a new HTC Titan brand Vodafone Italy.
I have installed the SYSTEM INFORMATION app and in storage section i read:
Total memory: 349,16 MB
Available storage: 11,77 GB
my old Omnia 7 had almost 500MB of total memory and almost 14GB of storage!!
Is my new Titan broken or it is normal? (less memory than Omnia 7???)
Same for me.

Really? So it's not my Titan that has less memory than Omnia7 i presume.
So, can we say that HTC version os WP7.5 take more than Samsung's one ?
and wy? may be HTC Hub ?

probably htc hub and some tweaks we have such as the activation of the speakers when you turn the mobile phone with the screen facing the table.
I switched from an iPhone 4 32Gb to the Titan (my second, I have one before having my iPhone ^^) and except this and angry birds it's a great phone, you can always use Skydrive to get a bit more space.

Give or take 200MB that WP7 uses for itself... And since it's Flash Memory instead of an SDcard the storage is being shared with everything else...
Blank Partition
WP7
Crap from the carrier
HTC Apps
Then actual User Media
And the usual fact that you never get the total storage from things
Windows Phone might look light and simple on top but underneath its pretty heavy

Hi, rtudds...
Actually that looks about right.
See my attached screenshot from my 16Gb Nexus 9 by way of comparison. You'll be surprised at at just how quickly your storage gets eaten up, with even only a few apps installed.

Checkout this (free) app from PlayStore for a more detailed analysis on how your internel storage is being used...

Hope this helps.
Rgrds,

That seems about right to me. In my experience, Android should use up just under 3GB on it's own.
Also, if you didn't know, you can tap where it says Apps there and get a break down of every single app and how much space it's taking up (sorted conveniently by size).
