What browser do you use and why?
I use stock browser on GSIII
Stock.. the smoothest imo... google chrome looks sexier and has more features and is intuitive but has bugs...

I use Dolphin! Love the gesture to open bookmarks.
I find this browser faster and better than stock and Chrome. Although I love how chrome syncs your bookmarks easily I hate having to tap a few times to access my bookmarks. With dolphin, I just swipe right and I get a list of my bookmarks.
I just don't like the feel of the stock browser. Lacks features in my opinion. I also use Dolphin on my iPad and can sync bookmarks between the devices.

XScope pro. Fast lightweight and has flash support. Also I like the fact that it opens links in background. Boat is a good alternative but it doesn't have that option.

Stock followed by Opera.
Chrome

Chrome - its super fast, great tabbing, plays flash and syncs with Chrome on my PC so I get all my bookmarks - then they sync two way when edited. Tried loads of them - Baidu ( a company that is apparently china's answer to Google) browser looks really good but is in beta still with the language stuck in chinese.

Maxthon by far and away the best :good:
i'm using the stock browser.
chrome, only thing that's missing is full screen mode

Chrome has no flash support, only html5.
I like Firefox beta, pretty fast no fcs, eyecandy, sync,...
The only downside is it isn't really memory friendly.

Used Boat mini for ages, but stock JB browser has won me over.
quick ics browser for really enjoyable browsing, but for performance only- stock browser.
I used the stock browser for a long time but recently switched to Dolphin and I'm blown away by how fast it is, and the add ons are superb. Plus swiping side to side and gestures are icing on the cake.

For me the Best overall is maxthon.. Love the gestures add on

Dolphin HD.

Opera is the smoothest, but I prefer Dolphin HD for the functionality.
I use the stock browser on Scott's CleanROM 2.1 right now. What are the advantages of Dolphin?

Last I knew Firefox can't multi task. Everytime you close it, it starts at your home page.

Dolphin is amazing. The plugins, ease if use, speed, all amazing.
One plugin let's you Swype right to left to access the plugin drawer, and then touch an icon to switch between desktop and mobile view.
Bookmark backup and sync with the stock browser, and across multiple Android devices.
Theme support, regular updates, and lots of plugins that do cool stuff.

Dolphin mini. Unless it's changed, dolphin hd was a little too busy for me. I was always making it swipe to bookmarks menu unintentionally, etc. Dolphin mini is very lightweight and speedy.

you can turn off the swiping settings for dolphin hd.
I use dolphin for full pages and stock for mobile (default browser).
Stock browser mostly. I have Opera Mobile installed. Only ever use Opera Mobile for a secondary Facebook account.. And I'm rarely in it. Opera Mobile always has javascript problems on many websites. Even pc Opera has jsp issues. I have used Dolphin HD. It's very nice but it has very poor memory management. It will consume a ginormous amount of RAM in no time. Don't get me wrong, I like Dolphin, but using over 118mb on a simple image search in Google.. lol. That's ridiculous. I hadn't even gotten around to opening a single image when it started slowing down. Needs a little work. Just my opinion. No gripes..
I like Xscope. It's faster than stock, faster even than Dolphin Mini. It has themes available, doesn't use massive amounts of memory, and just plain works with ease. It's easily in my top 5 best paid apps list.

Wich one is better and faster?
How about you install the Chrome browser, do a comparison and let us all know :silly:
I already did that. But I don´t know how to measure this. I want to decide which one will be the main browser.
I installed Dolphin HD browser yesterday and from my short time with it Ive decided its heaps better than the stock browser. Faster scrolling and page rendering and better access to bookmarks (swipe in from the side)
Maybe try that as well?

Dolphin HD
I use Dolphin HD and many do that. I think it is the best browser for ICS 2012 now a days.
I tested Chrome Beta vs Stock. Stock renders faster. Chrome crashed quite a bit too.
Chrome doesn't support FLASH so sad but it's faster (for me). Anyone tried Dolphin on flash videos or .swf?
Chrome was considerably slower at scrolling and loading, I went back to stock.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Chrome has a lots of potential but for me it stutters like hell. What do you guys think of the ICS+ browser? For me it's smooth as butter on the S3, so fast and flash loads in a fraction of a second. Only thing is when you double tap to zoom in an area it zooms somewhere else on the page but other than that it's flawless.

Chrome is a better desktop browser (in terms of speed if not plugin support), but the stock ICS browser destroys Chrome mobile right now. I haven't tried the other browsers because I have had no need to. I may have to try out Dolphin HD to compare to stock ICS browser though...
I use opera for fast browsing and stock for flash video etc

got the message to get the update to release of Chrome, now all I get is a "package file is invalid" message when I try to download it. The beta has gone and I have nothing! Any suggestions what to do? Is there an apk file I can download and install on my SG3?
im a fan of google chrome so ide go for google chrome, its faster but theres not flash on it yet
the new firefox seems to work well
Does dolphin browser support flash? anyone tried it yet?
Have to bump this thread - thoughts on this topic now? Stock seems more fluid, still!
I really dislike the default browser that comes with the s3.
Previous phones I have ran aosp browser and the miui browser. Both were much better imo.
Just curious as to what browser you guys are using and why.
Thanks guys.

Dolphin HD
Give it a try, and you'll see why.
Dolphin HD is fantastic. Chrome in my opinion is ever so slightly more fantastic. I have both installed but Chrome is my default.
Chrome
I'm still using the stock browser for now. I will be however looking into other ones in a few days!
Chrome.
Tab sync FTW. (just wish I could also close tabs on my other devices too).
Just yesterday I was "snooping" on my wife using Chrome on my PC while browsing reddit, and I was checking out the tabs she was opening... 2xychromosome?!
I have tried dolphin browser and I am not too crazy about it. Never tried chrome for android, might give that a go.

I used to be a big fan of Skyfire but they haven't updated their support for ICS yet. They seemed to also be a bit on the slow side but I stuck with them from their Windows Mobile days (HD2). Now though I use the stock browser and it allows for a desktop mode. Its quick and I have none of the downloading display issues I was having with Skyfire.
UC Browser.
Stock browser. It seems to do everything I need a browser to do on my phone

Chrome. I just wish i could get the widget to load thumbnails for the previews.
Browser plus
t-mobile sgs3 stock rom/rooted
Chrome .. teh best.
Chrome because I tie it up with my PC
I use chrome as my default and dolphin hd whenever I need to load a page in desktop mode that doesn't work with chrome.
Dolphin HD is what i have refereed on all other devices. Anyone have any reason this phone would be better with a diff browser than I'm used to? Thanks

Chrome if you use the google features. If you don't use Chrome on a PC or doesn't know what it offers, then Chrome isn't really useful for you.
Opera

Opera was the best on the phone, but its tabled UI is a bit weird.
1) Resolution needs to be rescaled, because now its tiiiiny
2) And I really want tabs
But speed wise it is very good
QQ Browser or Boat Browser. The best two alternatives IMO.
Faster, more stable, and no early development bugs/glitches.

Same, nor do I see all the stuttering most people mention lol. Then again, I'm not browsing webpages most of the time on my N10 anyway
Firefox works great
Dolphin w/ Jetpack is my favorite...but Chrome is not giving me any issues either.
Gotta say the AOSP 4.2 browser is by far my favorite. Loving it!
how do i install 4.2 aosp browser on the n10?
edit: forget it, i got it.
if someone else needs it: here is a german description, just use the google translator but it should be self explanatory http://www.mobiflip.de/nexus-4-aosp-browser-aus-android-4-2-nachruesten-root/
I am using Firefox. With the add ons, I was able to get an ad blocker without having to root the device, and it so far has not complained on any sites with Flash content. It is very fast and well organized for tablet.

+1 for dolphin + jetpack
it scores higher than chrome on html5test.com
chrome has stutters when scrolling
I'd say that boat browser is the best alternate browser.

+1 Ocean browser is the best!
Ocean browser really is the best. I was sold on Dolphin + JetPack before I tried Ocean, but Ocean really does beat it pretty handily.
It regularly gets under 800ms in Sunspider, is as smooth at scrolling/zooming as the iPad, supports flash, and doesn't have any of the weird glitches and quirks that Dolphin + Jetpack has. The only thing that's somewhat lacking is the GUI, which is a bit dated and ugly looking. I always keep it full screen though and just use the quick menu, which is beautiful.
Ocean browser is hands down the best imo. Went back and forth between that and dolphin for a while but ocean is way better.

Hello,
I just found a very unique and good Browser in my opinion which I wanted to share with you:
Its called UC browser Hd for tablets. The standard UC browser for Android is also good but the tablet version rocks on the Note 2.
I installed it on my Tablet and then transfered the apk file to my note 2, because playstore wont let you install the HD tablet version.
At first I thought: Too different takes too long to get used to. But after using for a short time I love it. And Flash is handled better than at Dolphin, Stock, Chrome, Firefox, in my opinion.
So, if your looking for a browser give it a try.
Greetings Richard

I agree browser is good but unfortunately I had to move to different one because in some cases I could not login to websites. Basically it didn't recognise my username and password which is odd. At the moment I use boat browser which is great as well. I also changed dpi to 260 for better visual experience. Btw. Dolphin browser drains the hell out of my battery.

Tint is horrible. One of the worst I ever used.
Uc is pretty nice but honestly I just can't give up tab sync with my other devices and tab switch via swipe. Chrome is just too good.
