I keep getting this app installing on the last screen Page of my screen and there is no icon for it in the application menu. And every now and then it changes my browser homepage and sends me advertisement notifications. Would like to know if anyone has an ideal what this is. I'll click it and it will go to browser.
What do you mean by "the last screen Page of my screen"?
Do you know the name of the app?
Can you find the app if you go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications?
When you press home and scroll all the way to the left it will be in the left corner of that Page.
It's like some searching application and it is now where to be found in in management application section.
Odd. Have you tried anything like lookout to scan?

I personally only seen it with Live Wallpapers not all of them but most that contain Ads usually when you restart your phone they pop up and then they are gone

Hi,
I am facing the same problem here with my XOLO Q2000 (rooted).
Whenever I switch on data connection, following apps keep installing itself.
1> Boyaa Texas Poker
2> Baidu Browser
3> Flappy Bird
4> playApp
Please help me uninstalling them.:crying:
You downloaded those stuff from playapp.
Just uninstall play app and those will be gone

I tried to uninstall playApp more than once. But it install itself silently without any notification or permission. Similarly other three apps did download and install just after playApp. And now ucbrowser just landed with other three.
Until I mess with playApp everything was cool.
Please help me remove this junk(playApp) and its residue. Otherwise I have to format my device.

I think I solved the mystery. I just found an application (named as 'android system' from same me.com.basiapk source) running in background during this drama. With the help of 'system cleanup' app I froze that one and now no ghost appearance anymore. I uninstalled those craps safely as well.
I learned a lot from you guys. Thanks a ton once again.

Few days ago I changed ROM to Cyanogen Mod and there are a few apps, whitch I want.
1st app is FM Radio -
2nd app is Limewire - that app launch selected app when conector is plugged (3,5mm jack for example)
3nd app is HTC_IME keyboard - original CM7 keyboard isnt best for me

1.Did you read the cm7 thread before flashing??? FM radio DOES NOT WORK.
2. I think you mean liveware manager. Download from play store and check if it works.
3. You'll have to port it yourself.

yes, i ret it, but i hope that will works.
I have one problem:
When I am in call with somebody and I am using my Xperia Neo (browsing internet for example), every touch I hear and call-mate hear it too.
Yeah that's because all sensors are disabled in cm to my knowledge. And the mix picks that up.

I flashed the CM10 JellyBean ROM onto my phone after doing the custom rooted kernel then installing CWM etc etc....
But now using Apollo (Custom Music Player?) That is built in. It worked the first time, but after closing the app or restarting the phone it always crashes.
Not sure what the problem is, or if its not supported or what but I love it a lot better than the "stock" one or if its not even stock whatever it may be, the "Play Music" app....
And I haven't experienced with any market ones paid or free because I don't want to mess with them.
Any suggestions?

Figured out if you goto Settings -> Apps -> All -> Apollo and then Force Stop, clear cache/data it will load perfectly fine. Also uninstalled all the skins I downloaded dont know if that helps.

Other questions also since I have a thread going lol...
Why do the album pictures look so grainy? But in the "Play Music" app they look good?
Also some of the album artwork gets mismatched in the "Albums" section.
I am just going to assume that Apollo is something new and is still under a lot of development, in love with it and considering a generous donation

Hi guys...I have a problem...I tried to manually link an app from /data/data/App_name to /ext_card/data/app_name...and it worked...but after reboot android doesn't find that app (when I tap on the app in app drawer it says me "app not found")...the symbolic link is still here...so I ask you if android at startup watch somewhere for installed app...I hope I explain good...
PS: don't say to me that exists link2sd...I want link it myself for learn and for curiosity...thanks

hi i am new here. just want your help in installing some application like email , music app from the GB rom on currently installed ics on my xperia u.. Is it possible?. device is rooted and i have a stock GB ftf rom with me.CW Recovery is installed on device.. please help. these apps on ics have bugs so i want them back from GB as they were fine there.

yes they are buggy as have been altered by lazzy sony developmnt team. :-/
some missing functionality as to mention..
a) email app doesnt have a refresh option to check mails for multiple accounts at a time with just one click.. which was available in GB email app.
b) walkman app has option missing to add whole folder while creating playlist. now we have to manually select every song while creating list.
c) last but not least the basic calculator doesnt have a % operator. seems sony doednt know how to code that operation.
