Hi everyone,
I have recently joined xda.So please excuse my mistakes.I have flashed cm10 successfully and everything is working great and all but there is one problem.My camera,both rear and front do not work.The screen remains black and the sliders keep flickering from landscape to portrait mode.Please help me.It will be much appreciated

Fixed
My camera with cm10.0 on the Xperia Play is now working video recording and normal camera front and back.
I fixed the issue by using the app root explorer and going to the folder "app" in the "system" directory. Delete the legacycamera.apk and gallery2.apk first in root explorer you will need to press the mount R/W button then delete the two apps then install camera.apk i have attached and then in the play store download gallery ics because the original gallery adds a second camera app which doesnt work. This is what worked for me and no I don't know anything about developing
Just realised this is for the Neo So I dont know if it will work but I came accross this fix using the camera app from fxp137 and put it in the new update and everything worked

As per my knowledge
The camera problem is a bug which cannot be solved without official JB camera libraries from Sony which is impossible as xperia 2011 series isn't getting JB official update from Sony! So we have to deal with it ! Till Sony doesn't release the libraries!

Actually is not impossible...we had camera on ics before sony's release!!So maybe in the future we will got full working cam!

Yeah! I have camera preview on PA v2.11 RC1! But only rear cam.... Still its great!

This is my first Sony Ericsson ice cream sandwich rom. And the purpose of this rom was because I was tired of downloading hundreds of roms for my xperia play and all of them having some kind of pros and cons, like one would look really nice and fast but not have any touchpad support and vice versa.
So far i have tested mostly everything and found no errors, My phone is a R800x and therefore I can't test 3G/service so test it for me and tell me how it goes! :laugh:

Unfortunately XDark ics v3 is Canceled, My phone is giving up on me slowly. for flashing back and forth between roms and kernels my xperia play is starting to suffer from a faulty NAND chip and wont function correctly on certain android versions. So i have flashed back to factory and might remain their. Sorry for the inconvenience

I am very sorry that's the wrong kernel I mean DooMKernel ICS BETA v03, I have just updated the links.
I suppose that by "full touchpad support" he means it works as in the ICS beta, it's there, just some games don't recognize it.
Unlike the other two Sony ICS ports that didn't include the appropriate framework files for the touchpad.

EDIT: sir I believe that this is now my current daily driver! Played mc3 mission @ 1.2mhz with nooooo lags. Touch pads work in everything their supposed to thank you so much for this amazing from! Only concern is that horrible music player and widget. The widget isn't functional and their is no lockscreen controls neither. But other than that the from is blazing fast!

I use R800i n data working great.
firstly thank you so much for this great ROM. this is very smooth, all of the features I need are working great, based on doomkernel n sony framework (I prefer doomkernel n sony framework ).
the features I've tested so far are :

Bluetooth
Gamepad
Touchpad
Proximity Sensor
so far I've tested the following game :
FIFA 12 - Force Close
Eternal Legacy - Gamepad n Touchpad work (minor glitch on the opening)
Shadow Guardian - Gamepad n Touchpad work (Force close whenever I use Touchscreen)
hope you can add the newest app for Xperia S n you can fix the bugs.

Tested working on CM 9.1 stable. Gallery FCs every once in a while when in "Edit" mode! However since LWW doesn't have a gyroscope, I can't really experience PhotoSphere. Try flashing on phones that do have one (like the Xperia S/P/T). Does it work for you?

Presumably, it works on both ICS and JB. Not sure about the full ROM compatibility though. Take a nandroid backup and give it a try. The gallery FCs when Editing a photo.

Yes, IIRC some people in the original thread report it to work on JB too. You could give it a try. Your original camera app remains the same. It's always better to take a backup though!

For some 2011 MDPI devices,like mini or mini pro,CM10 uses the legacy camera as a workaround,so I think it couldn't work for the time being.
As for CM9,i.e. FXP's roms,the 4.2 camera works with a functional preview.But,of course,Photosphere can't work well due to lacking in Gyroscope.
Here I represent a working JB 4.2 camera ported by miui.. all credits goes to them.. I'm just sharing this with u guys.. hope u ll like it

Ok so normal camera mode and video works ok on pureness b13 and the photos are sharp and nice
Bugs:
panorama doesn't capture correctly
photosphere closes the app(no error on screen just goes to desktop)

photosphere will not work as it needs gyroscope sensor I think.. nothing much we can do about it...

when i start camera apps the viewfinder screen is glitched.no object can be seen.only some green Line s and dots. but it can take photos.any help?

Erm the Xperia Neo doesn't support 1080p, you should know that before buying the phone...

He already said official nightlies...
These are developed by the CyanogenMod team... Not the FXP team... Though FXP has two members from CyanogenMod...
So the work is kind of shared
P.S. finally I can download CM10 from better file sharing network...
(no uploaded.net or rapidgator)

unfortionately,modded gallery.camera will probably never work because SONY wont give cam libs for JB,or some problem of that kind

It's already a week since FXP151 release and there's no sign of update, usually they push an update once a week. Maybe official nightly is their new release and they won't update from their website again... (just my opinion)

They will... Just see the changelog...
It might just be a delay... Or they will release 152 included with 153...the same way FXP merged 143 in 144
We have CM9 nightlies for months now but FXP is still releasing its updates on CM9

As at title this is a simple fix for the Pacman rom, it has no camcorder and i managed to get it working..
The fix include full gpu rendering, that means faster ui, and include the camera 4.2 fix of Rizal lovins

What I need to do camera working? For me, I finally get preview on 4.2 camera, but I can't get video.
Use 480p, because pac media profile include 720p recording which aren't supported to kernel

Camera view is inverted/upside down
I applied this fix on my Mango, preview and recording is working... with one MINOR bug...
everything is UPSIDE DOWN.
but this looks great, may just be a sensor bug

I don't have Mike's CM10.1 downloaded. But I can upload the lib from this ROM: shu_cm-10.1-20130416-UNOFFICIAL-mango if it will help you in any way.
