But I guess they will put some penalty on battery life. Wouldn't it be better to take this stuff out?
Flashed, it is super smooth as expected from previous releases. Waited until it got USB OTG support, which it has now, this will probably be my daily driver going forward.
Anyone else having issues with the device not waking up if it is asleep (screen off) while unplugging a USB drive OTG? I can't seem to get it to wake up without doing a full cold reset.
*Edit* Happens on CM10 Kang release 08/31/2012 as well.

I have had that exact issue with all the cm/aokp like systems so far. If is alseep when removing usb drives or unplugging from pc, it will not resume from sleep without a forced reboot.

How do you mean? It's no different to, say, cm10; the code base is full of stuff for phones (dialers, radios, etc), but when you build it for a tablet none of that stuff goes in.
I have only issue is when is sleeped then the wifi alway disconnected and i have must to switch it of to get it connect again. Is any1 here have this issue? I also using frax kernel v009.

Is it just me? I was using Clean Rom before without issue but with Codename I find that a lot of the customization items don't work. An example: colour of the battery icon and I have had a couple of instances when the display has dimmed to a very low level and I have had to reboot.

I found this bug with the Nexus 7 version of this ROM.I have version 3.5.0 and whenever I play a song and I lock my device it just stops playing. Not just that, it says it's still playing and no sounds work on the device and I have to reboot in order for sounds to work again. Is there a Fix? I have Trinity kernel if that effects something.
UPDATE: It might be the thing that I flashed called: Louder Nexus or something. It adds DSP manager. Maybe that is the cause.

Bugs??:
KNOWN ISSUES:
Videocamera : Use VideoCam Illusion
Slight Lag possible on screen transitions
USB tether
The graphics related issues are due to not having proper drivers to use for this. Don't ask for an ETA on a fix. Moto won't be giving us the drivers, so there is no fix
If you need to report a NEW bug, report it once, and the next TWO people VERIFY it. I don't need everyone reporting same bug 20 times. I you can, provide me the following information:

What type of fwipe you did and what ROM you came from
Have you restored any data from something like Titanium Backup
What app is misbehaving and what you were doing when it started

Got it loaded up! Looking good so far!
One thing I noticed right off... you should add in some sort of file manager like File Explorer (from MIUI) or File Manager (from CM). Just saying...lol

can confirm mms sending/recieving on uscc. flashed over aokp with workin mms.
Ya ya ya, we all know MMS needs some fine tuning! But thanks to Th3Bill, we're half way there! Good work man, keep it up!
Anyway, been using this baby all day so far! There isn't any issues with it that isn't already known to be an issue with JB ROMs! Everything is smooth as butter
Definitely liking CNA for real! Never really paid much attention to it previously and I'm sorry I didn't! Now that I realize what CNA is all about, I definitely appreciate the work that has gone into making this rom what it is!
I did notice that only half of the build.prop edits needed to be made tho, the first handful of lines were already good to go! Not sure if the other part (under Sprint TV) needed to have the "#"s removed?
Glad to see another Jelly Bean rom ported over! Awesome work and I look forward to where this one heads in the future!
Thanks for the hard work man, I seriously can't say it enough!
I've been doing some (well a lot of lol) reading on how to port ROMs and compile from source. I think once I get some free time I'm gonna take a stab at it and see how it works out for me! I wanna do some "special edition" versions and/or custom/modified versions similar to what others have done with ROMs. I got the basic know how and understanding I think...its just putting it all together and making it work lol!

This is a build of Codename Android thanks to Notta! He is the man and bringing tons of AOSP love to the EVO4GLTE.
I did not build this Rom. I will just be maintaining it and working some bugs out.
Notta is in the thread here, so please search him out and give him a thanks while your downloading.
Lets show him how the LTE community appreciates his hard work.

Info regarding navigation bar: (Click show content)
The only way Notta could get the navigation bar to work was to enable it by default. So the navigation bar is on by default. This can still be turned on/off by going into System settings/Interface/Powermenu then check the Navigation bar toggle!
If you press the power button, you will then see in the menu a on/off button to turn the navigation bar on and off.
When it's on you'll see the options to modify the navigation bar settings under System settings/Interface/Navigation Bar
When it's off you'll see the hardware remapping options. System settings/Interface/Hardware Keys. If you need to make any changes to hardware remapping, Turn off the navigation bar from power menu, makes the changes, then turn it back on.

Couldn't have said it better myself! :good:
Nice! Was running an unofficial CNA 3.3.1 JB port on my OG Evo before upgrading to the LTE. Been hoping, praying even, that someone would port this to the EvoLTE. Can't wait to try this out.

No, they are not on by default, but they are included in the ROM options for anyone who does use them. I used the codename android screenshots from the website, so those screenshots are from a galaxy nexus device.

AFAIK, those only appear if/'when the device does not have it's own dedicated buttons. the LTE has it's own, so they shouldn't appear.
Of course thats how it SHOULD be. I'm still waiting for my phone to charge up so i can flash this.
Does this have the option to change notification drop down background?

Think im gonna have to give this a go. Glad to see someone finally making an OP that is well laid out and informative instead of just "heres a rom flash it." well done sir.

No it does not, I think AOKP is the only AOSP rom with that option at the moment.

Stupid question, but did you flash GAPPS?
If so, did you flash the GAPPS from OP?
If yes, try to reflash. If still having an issue, try these gapps: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip
Post back results.
Thanks

cool!! new rom for DEB! :highfive:
Will try this soon! thanks a lot!
Thanks I will try this rom. Can I use the pa_gapps-full-4.4-20131119-signed.zip or pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20131215-signed for the Google apps? (original from CM?) What is the differents between a deb rom and flo rom?
Edit: DEB is LTE version and FLO is the only wifi version.
Edit 2: Indeed Gapps stock is ok.

Not possible for you to include the change in framework-res.apk? It's only one string
the problem is not like you think.. or what i understand from you.
multirom Manger use flo twrp.. due this rom has device id verification its recognized as deb which will not work with flo.. all we need is remove device id verification or add flo i think.. waiting the developer to fix it
have a nice day
believe me, just use xpose framework and that nexus sms. they will work.
Thx again, but question was for Rom dev.
Don't want to use this framework.

Can u add mokke animations and multi window in next built?
Wellcome back CNA
welcome back..
1. No region settings under wifi (different countries use different bands)
2. No customization of navigation bar
3. No full OTG-USB support (also no ntfs support built in) (Does work with Stickmount but ideally it should be part of the ROM)
4.Looks like users finally works on a ROM
Over all I wanted to like it but 1 and 2 are just no-go's for me. Adding 1,2 and 3 would make this a daily driver.

Wow! This rom does look really nice. I have to try it!

I think I have found one bug. Every time I use Navigation Ring to kill app, systemui does force close.

Downloading now. Glad to have you back. Always been the best rom by far.

nice work
What about sound mods I love my music. Beats audio or viper audio others etc..? For future builds.. Downloading now
Bluetooth Problem
There seems to be some problem with bluetooth. I can get my N7 to connect to my bluetooth speaker @ less than 50cm away. But it cannot connect to anything further away from 50cm or the music start to stutter when I move my N7 away from the connected bluetooth speakers.
@codenamedroid , and about your source? When do you upgrade on github? This project is awesome, I'd like to expand you're work/project.

camera is worked but you must use another camera like camera360, camera zoom fx or others.
I hope you can fix the camera problem soon (Torch is also not working, since camera and torch are "connected"). Since now a perfect ROM! Will test battery life tomorrow
