Wallpaper cropped after dock use - Motorola Droid X2

So this one has been happening forever, and I'm just getting around to asking about it now.
Why is it that after my phone is on the Multi-media dock that the wallpaper gets cropped? The only way to fix it is a reboot.
I added a blank screen to the launcher to demonstrate before & after dock use.
Currently on stock 2.3.5 for work purposes

[Q] homescreen not fully displayed?

im comin out from the htc inpire, and now has the atrix, and when i use widgets/adwlauncher/adwdock/ they dont seem to take up the whole space in the homescreen, when i use adw launcher the docks are not extended all the way. is there a workaround to this?
It's because the density is a bit lower on the Atrix. I supposed if your phone is rooted and used LCD Density Changer app, you can put it back to normal. Haven't tested the app out yet though...
check out these comments about th home screen
Let’s start with the homescreen. With the Atrix 4G’s higher resolution, Motorola felt it was necessary to size down the homescreen so that objects fit in at their native resolution for an 800 x 480 phone. But, any widget I tried from an external developer was able to stretch just fine using a replacement launcher. It’s a little annoying to have this big border around your homescreen since it serves no purpose.

in the screenshots thread Ive seen homescreens that are fullscreen, docks that stretched all the way....?
It is because of the higher density; right now I'm using a launcher with just one screen; composed of the moto messaging, wifi, GPS, calamder, and clock with something else.
I like the Widgets and the way they look. Definitely love the screen though.

[Q] Fullscreen wallpaper randomly gets chopped off/moved?

I'm not sure what triggers it, but my wallpaper will be full screen, then all of a sudden it'll just be a square in the middle, as in the sides get cut off, if I rotate it, it usually goes back to normal once it's horizontal again, but it randomly does this and it's driving me so crazy. It's rooted and I'm running Starburst... I've been searching for posts about this but I can't find anything, helpppp. SO annoying!
It doesn't seem to matter what launcher I'm using either.
Same problem for me... Any idea for fixing it ?
To be honest getting wallpaper set on this thing is way harder than it should be, I still haven't worked out a good way to do it. It just ends up cropped, or fugly, or both.
Way harder than it needs to be.
I can get a nice looking wallpaper cropped and everything, but when I'm doing things it randomly gets cut off and looks like crap.

Click to collapse
Yeah I just saw the same thing happen.
So how does everyone get wallpaper to show up without it being cropped? Do you need to download WP larger than 1280x800 so that it can be cropped down to that, or is there an app that'll do it? I've tried several but none seem to work.
I have a thread here discussing how you correctly size a wallpaper to fit your tablet.
So far I've worked out how to do it for ADW Launcher, which selects wallpapers the same way it does for Android phones but I need to look a bit more into TouchWiz.
Other than that there are a number of apps that offer you more control over your wallpapers.Firstly there's MultiPicture Live Wallpaper which allows you to set different images on each page of your homescreen.
Secondly there's Wallpaper for Tablets which lets you set a different landscape and portrait wallpaper and will correctly display a 1280x800 image without cropping.
Last, there's Wallpaper Wizardrii but the controls are really poor and it doesn't offer you anything that one or other of the first two apps I linked-to can't do.

[Q] Fourth Bar Sense: Live Wall Paper, Random Rings/Notifications

I managed to glitch the live wallpaper setting and got it to work on Forth Bar Sense (FBS), then I choose a GO Theme (not the locker but system theme) and live wall was replaced by the theme background and it became impossible to bring back the live wallpaper.
The way I glitched the live wallpaper was to have the live wallpaper set on a ROM that supported it and then installed FBS and the live wallpaper remained, however, it does not mean you can change the live wall paper it just meant it existed. I had "wallpaper slide show" as the live wallpaper so there was no need to ever change it.
Now trying the glitch again does not work, since FBS was already previously installed it grabs all the settings from the previous installation it is like the settings from FBS were stored somewhere and they are applied automatically even with a fresh install.
Random ring tones and notifications has been a problem --- 10 apps all failures --- they only ever seemed to worked on CM7, not even stock ICS do the random tones work (talking about different phones here). Why can't Android just have this built into their code it would take all but 30secs to do... Can anyone truly get random tones working for the Amaze 4G with FBS?

[Q] Launcher & Wallpaper resolution not playing well

To begin with, I'm far from new to Android, just new to Samsung and the Note.
Also - I know I'm not the only one with this problem but I haven't run across a solution yet. I can take and image I want to use as a wallpaper and, on the lock screen and the Touch whiz home screen and it looks exactly like I want it to. But, since I'm one of those folks who dislikes the fact that I can't swap out apps on the TW launcher bar, I slap my own launcher on the Note to make it mine again. Unfortunately, then comes the annoying part.......
Whatever photo I put up as wallpaper looses resolution and seems to explode in size so that only about 1/4 of the original wallpaper/ photo is visible and what's left is very blurry. I know this isn't limited to just one launcher - I've tried ADW, Launcher Pro, Nemus, Go Launcher, Holo, and a few more I can't remember the names of right now. And they all give me the same problem.
So far I've changed the format of the wallpaper photo to .png or .jpeg and back again, tweaked the size and resolution of the picture, dug through XDA and a few other forums fort wisdom, and used harsh language on my Note - all to no avail. So, can anyone tell me what I'm missing or if there's any hope for me at all? I'm rooted stock 2.3.6 and would prefer, for various reasons, to stay that way for now. But, at this point I'm willing to consider options if all else fails since I'm getting quite annoyed by this.
Thanks for any help/ insight!
Use the Quickpic app to set the wallpaper.
Thanks! I'll give that a shot.

[Q] Wallpaper Sizing on Samsung Rugby LTE

Good evening!
Wallpaper sizing always seems to be a bit of an issue, been reading online to try and find a decent answer, but none seem to apply to this phone in particular. They went the way of removing the 'scrolling wallpaper', making it more like iPhone with its home screens being in an infinite loop with a stationary wallpaper.
The scrolling wallpaper is a subtle thing, but it's something I've gotten used to with my Samsung Fascinate (which met its unfortunate demise in an inadvertent attempt at being a submarine). I've got the Canadian (Telus) Samsung Rugby LTE (SGH-I547C) now.
IIRC, the screen resolution is 400x800. The advice I followed in setting up some of my favorite images as wallpapers was to double the width of your phone's screen, and that should do fine. So with 800x800 wallpapers loaded up, I loaded one up.
Nope.
Well first off, I did get scrolling wallpapers back with the help of GO Launcher EX. And it scrolls the wallpaper wonderfully. But the wallpaper size is still off, because the edges of all of my wallpapers are cut off.
So comes the main question: What should the size of my wallpaper really be, then? (Of course, making it specific so Android doesn't have to resize it and make it horribly blurry). Would setting a stationary number of home screens affect that at all? The 'box' that shows up to crop the image when you set a wallpaper seems to be the same regardless of the number of home screens -- a vertical screen about the size of the default resolution, with two smaller 'boxes' attached to the sides .....
Feel free to ask if clarification is required on anything! Otherwise, I'm sure someone will have an answer for something so relatively simple. =)
