Hey guys, i just noticed something on my Acro S which is think is really cool and i am not sure if anyone else noticed, the led notification color change based on the app sending the notification, for example when i get a message on Y! messenger it blinks purple, Facebook blue, etc, i am not sure if it works with all the apps but it's a nice touch by Sony.
Just to add on, it blinks Green for Google Talk notifications.

May be thats why sony included whatapp in some of the firmwares... to OP if u meant led blink on top left .. its there on most of xperia 2012 atleast...(multicolour blink)
This isn't very unique... All Motorola smartphones and most HTC's have the same "feature"... It's a tri-color LED, so it is quite logical that it is possible to make it blink in different colors, if the app supports it and sets a color.
Xperia S can manage Red, Blue, Green and White I believe. Use LightFlow app if you are rooted.

Just been playing around with light flow, XS can do loads of colours!

Had same problem on my GT-I9000 (not that visible since its all black on it), however i dont think this affects usabillity of button, but its unasthetic so you should ask for a replacement

Unfortunately it was not as straightforward as I had thought. I replaced the ICS apk with the "old" one, and I can open the app, but when I want to open an email, it crashes...
Any clues?

Unfortunately it keeps crashing.
So is that due to not being ICS-compatible or do I have to adjust something?
I really miss that app. I love the look and also the unified inbox where you can refresh all accounts at the same time!

It is not compatible with ICS, I believe, because it keeps crashing too - in my experience... I went back to ICS version...
Anyway, is there a widget for the stock email app?

Go into settings, applications, all applications find email then uninstall updates. This will revert it back to the stock ICD.
Hi,
i came from CM9.1 and flashed stock XWLPW. Everything is working fine except the wallpaper beeing blurry. I was able to set a sharp homescreen wallpaper with QuicPic, but the app is not able to do the same for the lockscreen. Already tried to resize the image to 480*800 before setting it as a wallpaper, but without success. Any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd like to use my own wallpapers. Also I don't see an option to change the lockscreen wallpaper in the app's youtube video.

they "blurry"ness of the wallpaper is due to a less HD photo.. it's more pixelized.
Unless you have photoshop powers where you can edit the photo, then your blurry wallpaper will be solved
Isn't 8mp from the S2 camera enough? I took the photos I want to use with the phone itself.

It depends. Sometimes the picture we take gets blurry.
I believe the launcher has zoomed in to your photo; hence the blurry result..

The pictures itself are perfectly sharp and only get blurry when set as wallpaper.
I also don't think it's the launchers (Apex Launcher Pro v1.3.1) fault as it has nothing to do with the lockscreen.

Depends on your screen size and the amount of pixels the picture has.. the less pixels the more blurred it would look across a wide screen

I think it is by default that a photo is zoomed when set as a wallpaper.. i've had that problem with my S3. It gets annoying lol

Try using Wallpaper Wizardii app to set the same(Wallpaper) and see
Or even 'Quickpic' app will do the trick
As already mentioned, QuickPic is working fine. Wallpaper Wizardrii not. Unfortunately none of the apps is able to set the lockscreen wallpaper

i noticed that theres no shortcut tools widget for wifi, 3g, brightness etc..
where are those tools? if its possible to install them again where can i find them?
There are none.
Install "Power Toggles" from the Play Store instead.
I have added them to the Small Apps, too, and changed the shortcut in the status bar from the default remote to the toggles widget - this way I can toggle things without leaving the current app.
There is also an app (I forgot the name) where the toggles can be put into the notification panel.
Did you say yiu changed the remote from the status bar to power tools?
Can you share how you did that?

So I know not many users have this tablet anymore. But I still use it often and I've been wondering if if its possible to get the notification bar on top the same way it is on the Xperia tablet z?

you can change the dpi to phablet or phone but evrything look broken or if someone wold make a port of this
