Hi jonezy8873!
Your battery does not have anything to do with power saver modes or bottom lights to light up (i think).. it's all on your settings will you please go to settings > about and tell us your phone's details? Perhaps you are on custom ROM & kernel?
Hope to hear your feedback! Cheers

Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII

Hi, thanks for reply im on stock ics 4.0.4
From uk not rooted or anything,
With the lights i mean that when the battery goes to 10% or less it automaticly turns down the screen brightness and turns off the bottom lights if i go settings-power saver i can change it from standard to custom so i can have the brightness back up but button brightness is greyed out and cant press anything.
Just seen that after leaving my phone alone it has gone up from 78% to 81% do you think it doing it its self? This is the first day from fully charge.
I got it yesterday made sure it was toataly flat by running a film on repeat then once i died i charged it over night and now using it.
Thanks.

The battery does not need to be calibrated. The s2 does it by itself. Give it 3-4 charge cycles and it will be what you should expect

Samsung galaxy s3 Problem !!

Hello i just bought my s3 yesterday and battery is draining very fast i have used the fix but i have that problem of screen which takes 88% of batery and it's not normal ! here is a screenshot

Keeping the screen on will dran the battery since that's what screens do.
Regardless of the device (including laptops), screens always take >50% of the battery.
Could you show the screen-on time?

Let me venture a guess. When you get a new phone, you tend to play with it a lot, hence the screen on time and battery drain Give it a few days, it will be fine -- this phone has great battery life.

The battery needs to go through a few full cycles of drain and charge before it's reached optimal performance. First week battery drained more but now it's performing brilliantly.
Just keep letting it drain completely and charging fully a few times and have auto brightness selected.

I've heard that li-ion batteries don't suffer from memory issues and there's therefore no reason to calibrate them or run them in any specific charge/discharge cycle.
If you ask 100 different people about how best to use your battery you'll get 100 different answers. Don't worry about it, just enjoy the phone.
Hmm. This phone probably has the best battery life of any android phone I've owned, and I've had a few.

BATTERY DRAINNN... Please helpp
Yeahh check outt my screenshot..I have set the brightness level to the lowest and still display is taking much battery..even cell stand by.. do i have to fix anything?.. expert advices needed..thankss
Look in the attachments..
You haven't said how long the screen was on for.
I could show this first screenshot and say OMFG the battery doesn't last, but actually when you look at the second screenshot, then there's obviously no issues (and I am indeed perfectly happy with my battery life)

lol, I'm a bit OCD about these types of things.
But if it's not a problem then why do we need to do it?

Tripe.
Minimum of 3 cycles to reach peak performance. I have flashed hundreds of roms/kernals, it ALWAYS takes a few days for the battery to normalise.
Op, take a chill pill, calm down, post again in a few days. If you're still having drain, it will be down to an app or your settings.

Still the same **** i charged it 3 times and the battery is draining quickly when i'm just in facebook or an app it goes like 2 min = -1%

[Q] Battery calibration messed up my battery

Hi.
I used Battery Calibration from google play exactly as instructed. Since then, my battery is charging REALLY slow, or not at all. When I use my fully charged galaxy after its charged overnight(connected to a charger) it shows 100%, and when I disconnect it, the battery drops... To lets say 92%. What can I do to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Charge it till you're sure it's 100%, turn off your phone, take out the battery for a minute, put it back in and turn your phone back on.

It's not possible to 'calibrate' an SGS2 battery.
Do what Donnie suggested, and if that doesn't help, flash a kernel like Siyah which enables you to reset the fuel gauge from ExTweaks/similar app (you can do it from command line as well, if you search the Siyah discussion thread you'll probably find the exact commands).
If neither of those things work, your battery is on the way out. Buy a new one.
My battery (original) drains even wen the phone is off. First i tought that my battery was broken. I bought a new accu (original) but i got the same results. After about 8 hours ive got 15% less juice and the phone was off. What could this be?

It's not bad. Try better battery stats to see your wake locks and cpu spy to see if your device is deep sleeping
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Thanks i will update tomorrow or so...
About deep sleep i already checked vefore and it does but as for better battery status i just downloaded the app. Should i just let it installed and dont touch or do i need to run in the background?

Some parts of it need root access. But it should still give you the wake locks. Just let it run in the background and check it after a min of 5hrs
Is that good for you? That's all it matters.
It looks alright to me.
Can it be improved? Of course.

I think you have several times recharge the battery to 100% and also drain the battery until phone turn off to calibrate.

S3 won't turn on and charge.

My friend has an att s3 that doesn't turn on and charge. When I plug it in without the battery the red light comes on. On the other hand when I plug it in the charger with the battery the red light doesn't come on. The phone is in complete stock so not rooted at all. Do you guys think this is a battery issue or something else?
Btw I already googled this for a while and people are saying different things. So I had to post this here on xda.
Thanks in advance for you guys' response.

May be its time for u to replace the 'Batt' .

Ya the boy is around 2 years old so maybe I gotta replace it
