I'm not that keen on the look of the Samsung e-mail client that comes with the SGS3 - it's so Gingerbread looking. Does anyone know if the AOSP ICS/Jelly Bean e-mail client will work on an SGS3? If so, is there anywhere I can lay my hands on the APK? Or is it not compatible with Samsung's framework on this device?
I have tried it.. It works but there are some fcs..
You will need to replace both the secemail and secexchnage apks from system/app
You have been zooo==>ted

Hey guys... I was wondering if anyone is working on trying to get this .apk deodexed and functioning?
It appears to be the Galaxy Nexus "Galaxy" Live Wallpaper!
Dooood! We must get deodexed!
I'm aware of this ∙∙∙
"Currently the apps are Odexed, so they can't be conventionally installed or resigned. And the current iteration of Baksmali doesn't work with the deodexing process. I'm sure somebody will be able to do so or Baksmali will get an update to work with it. But it'll take some time, a lot of great things coming for Android nonetheless."

Can anyone port android ICS stock browser to galaxy mini 2.3.4 It has sync with Chrome, and thats what everyone wants Chrome is far better than Opera on PC, and the new 4.0 stock browser can save pages also just like opera (for offline viewing ) Please anyone port the ICS browser.
I am currently using an ICS ROM (FoxHound 0.3) which uses the Samsung messaging application.
For some reason, I would rather use the AOSP Messaging application than the Samsung one.
So my question is: Is there any way to flash the AOSP App on to the ROM to replace the Samsung messaging application?
EDIT: Found what I was looking for here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514354.
Hello world.
Sorry if this question has already an answer. I searched in xda a lot and I didn't find anything.
Well, I found a lot of themed MMS.apk. I don't like them, because I can't get n one app everything that I want ( by example, the ones with Sms Split doesn't have Oriinal TimeStamps and vice versa ). So I wanted to add to my CM9 MMS.apk an option to get Sms Split.
Does anyone know how to get this feature?
Thanks in advice for patience.
Bump. Would also like to know how this could be done to a stock Jelly Bean MMS.
Sent from my AOSP Android 4.1.1 Galaxy Nexus.
I would also like to know this.
Hey all,
Is there anyone that can point me in the direction of attaining the stock File Manager and Notes apk for Jelly Bean/Galaxy Nexus? (Like the calendar and e-mail apks) I've noticed on some of the AOKP ROMS I've tried out that it featured those two.
Bumped for greater viewing period.
Hello Everybody.
I'm going crazy to find a way to install another Email client to set my business email account.
With the Samsung stock Android client it's not possible to browser the folder, because the App expand them, therefore I find 100 folders on the same layer. It's not possibile to work like this.
The original Google Client (that one with the Yellow Icon) has this functionality and I love it, but I'm not able to find a way to install it on my Samsung Galaxy SII 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Stocked and Root.
Anyone can hel me?

I don't understand what app you are referring to but for an email client app I suggest K-9 Mail which is really good and free (it's open source).
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Thanks for your answer. I refer to the original client app that you can find in the google nexus mobiles or in cyanogen rom. I think that is the original App included in the Gapps.
