Is anyone exprience this ?
When in video mode the camera always struggle to focus and results in crappy video at the end.
It also happen in Camera mode, whenever i tap on the screen it try to focus for a bit then a red rectangle shows up and
It went blurred again !
Auto Focus doesn't work at all !
As far as i know Auto-Focus was working with Stock GB rom (2.3.3 ke2) which came with phone
Btw is there any way to view Camera fw on ICS or JB ?

Tried LGcamera ( Thanks to developer) but still it struggle to focus in low light condition, it shows clear picture when after you tap for focusing then went blurred after a sec i know the camera on this phone is not that bad cause i saw couple of videos on youtube with low light + no flash and they were clear.
Please don't say try to reset,etc i tried them all

regarding ur issue.
1) u can change ur Kernel and see.
2) try camera360 ( only still) or Ucam app from stores and see

Good morning ! I am fine what about ya ! btw my phone was at samsung service centre for around 1.5 month !! So thats why i was not that active anyway i got display replacement but they damage my loudspeaker + camera lens protector ! So i paid 1500/Rupees to get them replaced !
Anyway i tried flashing kernal to latest siyah 4.1.5 and didn't notice any change at all !
However the Camera360 ultimate app does decent job but doesn't have recording option as you mentioned
UCam - i didn't like it
Is there any work around ?

If its not Hardware proble and you dont wanna use camera then... Reflash ROM Sir G.

How many time should i have to reflash rom already did 2 times and flashed a SAMrom

Then its as simple as Eating.
Take it to Samsung Care.. Give them a Punjabi Slap and ask them to replace it... Blame them that they damaged it

Noticed some strange behaviour on my S5830 :
- If I shoot a photo using Macro setting photo is nice and sharp
- If I shoot a photo using the Autofocus setting the photo is blurry (although in the display preview I see it's sharp) ???
Anyone having similar experience ?

I have updated from stock German T-mobile 2.2.1 to (russian?) 2.3.3.
As I am not @ home right now can't tell what version exactly.
Is this a known problem at certain firmware versions?

Hey!
No, its not know firmware problem, but it exist sometimes. If this not solve you problem, try to flash like ..XXKC1(from samfirmware[its multi file, not single file]).

I am a tweaker and have did quit some changes already and am happy with the status of the rest of the phone so I am not very eager to do another fw flash...
I did however already purchase Titanium backup....
Guess I'm gonna just have to try to flash (maybe best VillainROM 1.0) and restore from Titanium....... and hope to be back up and running soon

Yesterday I have flashed VillainROM and photo's seem to be better now. Have to do some testing but it looks promising

My galaxyace this with a similar problem in Cemera, my camera does not focus, nor even in the macro and auto focus (does not show any difference between the two) and smileshot also does not work, I tried to change the rom, I am now with 2.3.4 (base s830xxkph).
the problem first started when I put Cyanogen mod 7 and returned to 2.3.4 (I tried 2.3.3 (with multiple files), but the problem persists).
anyone have any ideas? sorry for english I'm Brazilian
If you select 3.2 mega pixels in camera settings photos will be sharper.

When i took a photo with flash, the photo have a green tinted on it (DC 32). without flash not so obvious i think(DC 33). I'm using night elf kernel and rom from Team xperia V01 right now. it is normal?
I'm also have the problem with video chat in G+. before using this Rom, i can join the hangout. The video icon in the red circle (see attchment) seem dissappear now. Is it becausemof the rom or kernal?
I have white balanced your second photo, using the white on your notebooks screens search box.
Does this look right now, if it is, the lights in your room might be confusing the camera`s white balance system.

use larut improved camera files it will fix your green tint problem and will also make your images look a tad better
you can find the improved files here
try to take pictures in party mode in camera mode (sorry my poor english, I'm brazilian)
if you do not want to do the above procedure, taking the order "party" will help you to improve the quality of the camera, I noticed also that the pictures taken with ICS are much better.
On ICS: Just flash camera fix v3, fixes everything.

Not on ICS right now. Still on GB. Yes I had tried that larut.apk before but fail to do correctly .
So i had to flashed my phone twice. So i give up to that method. So maybe try to use the party mode and see the result. Thank for the advice guys.

strange larut camera + lips from official s.e neo page worked for me and eliminated the green tint for me....
yes it fixed the green tint when using the camera flash....

really? maybe related to hardware. used the backup file, still the same. look like i have to stick to the greenish photo. but when i take the photo (w/o working flash) i can see the are no more green tinted photo. Just no camera flash only.
I will give another try. if still not working maybe i go for the ICS Rom.

Thanx v3 Fixed on ICS
Okay Since SDE is the closest any Rom has been made to The Official Sony firmware,and probably because there are many who use this Rom i decided to put up a new thread only for SDE!.This Thread includes Addons and Mods to the SDE Rom.
Thanks to Achotjan,Nobodyatall and other devs who contributed their part in making our good looking phone usable till now.

Nothing special but it gives clear Image than the one in Sde 2.0.

Recording Works fine without buffering.!

Hi, i'm sorry, but i can't ask questions in dev area, so i need t start here.
I can't get managed power amp to work on this rom.
I didn't install walkman and no xloud, but even then it doesn't work.

I had this problem too ... tried reinstalling many times with different settings in aroma .... but powerAMP didn t work.
I think its a bug and it won t work until it is fixed

NO i got it fixed.
It went into the different addons and found, that with project "fluid" there are some files placed in the lib-folder which have to do with audio.
So i tried to install without the fluid package and now it works.
Then i removed the files that have to do something with audio from the fluid add on folder, and now i have, walkman, poweramp, and fluid patches working.!

Now, the last thing missing on your rom, is just a camera which has pictures with same quality than the original... Then it would be perfect
I don't want features and tools, i just need quality - i know what my camera was abled to do.
At the moment i'm using the stock android camera.
Other problem with this is, it shows always a 16:9 picture, even if i select 8mpx. The outcome is 4:3, but in the preview the picture is cut, and not as sharp, as the real output is then. So you never know if it is well focused or not, because in preview it s always not realy sharp.

Yes i just check it. It will be fix in Next Release wh comes thiw week-end The photos quality of CM for Xperi is really really bad.... ! Only Focal Camera have a good quality but didn't work on our cm10 device for now

Yes exactly, focal is just a FC on xperia neo. The real output pictures on xperia neo aren't sooo bad with stock camera... i just compared some pic's. Not so bad... minimal difference
Biggest Problem on stock camera: Preview 16:9, not sharp preview, and lot slower then cybershot camera.
Do you think that the 16:9 problem is just any xml or other config problem? If so, please tell me just what i need to change (or replace gallery.apk?), so that i don't need to reflash the whole rom (i've done some changes... )
Other small bug i found is (but i think its cm10 problem): GPS Problems - with Navigon it gets connection for 5 seconds, then looses, reconnect, lost and so on. Only if i start gps status tool before opening navigon, it's working. And the google maps arrow is spinnig around all the time - no idea what this problem causes.

Can you fix a few Bugs for me in the thread which I gave you the SamsungCamer3.apk? Here is the bugs I need fixed:
1. Remove Selective Focus.
2. Fix the layout.
3. Fix the bug when you tap record video, Camera FC.
4. Remove the back camera, front camera and video recording resolutions that don't work on our phone.
5. Fix the bug when you change resolution to a lower one, Camera FC. @rrgrrg @adityapal

Also, I found a bug. When I switch to the front camera, the picture size is strange and when I try to change the picture size from the settings, the camera app crashes and then I have to go and delete data/cache for it to open again.
