Unbrick Help - HTC Amaze 4G

So,
In a recent ROM update, I also added a battery apk so I can see the percentage. I put the apk on the sd card and attempted to install via recovery. Error'd out and rebooted the phone. The downfall is when it went to reboot, would not power back up. Would GREATLY appreciate any assistance!!!!!! I did a battery swap just to double check and my batter is fine.

Dude this is THE ANDROID DEV SECTION!!!!!!
People have had this problem before just search, god.....

leave ur phone off and keep it plugged into a charger for an hour, then try pulling the battery, put it back in and see if it boots. i would probably try booting into bootloader and going to recovery first.

I appreciate you NOT tearing me apart for a question. I did leave it charged. The charge light won't even come up. I tried removing the battery and placing the battery back in. I'm wondering if there's some type of hard reset button in the phone. Something behind the battery. Or if I touch a couple of posts then it will reset. I'm not hardware savvy. Suggestions?

wow at this point im not too sure if its not even wanting to boot up. i guess try holding power and vol down to see if it even goes into hboot....

If it goes into hboot, flashing a new rom if you have a custom recovery or flashing a stock recovery if you don't should solve the problem.

Charge your battery in another phone. Then try and boot it. If that doesn't work, plug it into a PC and "adb reboot". That should work. If, it doesnt, warranty the phone.

But u have to plug it to wall charger for 3-4 hours and stop pressing the power button
OR
Use a universal charger like this(cheap one Rs.100 i keep it coz the 3 led blink happens to me also and this charger solves it)

tried already... not working
The best method is:
1. Take out the battery.
2. Turn on the charger.
3. Wait for a while and put in the battery.
That's all.
The three red blinks means the x10 thinks the battery has not got enough charge to boot the phone.
If you can't get it to charge then either ur charger, battery, or USB connection could be broken. You can get replacements direct from SE website or eBay etc

[Q] Charge my Photon with phone off

So a question that I can't find an answer to. Is it possible to charge my MoPho without the phone turning back on? I ask because when my phone drains quickly at work, I would prefer to charge it back up faster since it seems to drain just as fast as I can charge it via USB.
I always find that charging my phone while its off charges way faster! The only thing drawback is that you wont get calls and mms/sms.

Are you using a USB port on your computer to charge? or the AC adapter. I have found that the phone will turn itself on if it is plugged into a PC. Even when plugged into the wall, my phone will act like it is turning on (flash the moto logo) but will just go to a battery screen. hope this helps.

Yes, that is the intent here, but when I plug it in, the phone powers on automatically.

Yeah, plugged into my laptop. I don't have another solution here. Massively sucks because at the end of the day I have no charge and I have to hope my AC adapter in the car keeps it charged until I get home.
I believe Seidio makes a battery charger for the battery itself. You can just pull it out and charge it that way, phone will be off, and it'll charge quickly. Not the best option, but one none the less.
Maybe I am being too simplistic. But have you just tried putting it in airplane mode and charging? With all the radios off and the screen off, I would think it would be able to save enough juice for the trip home, especially if it is charging.

That sounds like a great idea. Try that.
(I wish Motorola would add a 'Sleep Mode' to our device, like most of their gingerbread devices have.)
A sleep mode would be better, just saying.

If what I read in on of Joker's mods is correct, he has enabled this on his roms. I haven't yet flashed them, so I can't say for sure.

I will have to check it out. It would be super awesome if you could post a link towards his rom, and where you saw that information...
Thanks a bunch.
Take a backup of your build.properties and then uncomment below line
#ro.mot.deep.sleep.supported=true
Reboot and on long pressing of the lock key you will get the option to enter 'Sleep Mode'.

Although i dont know yet, how to come out of this deep sleep mode.
I am on Jokers ROM and it has deep sleep. It works but has a glitch. When you are charging and try to go into deep sleep it borks the lock screen and fc's.

Charging Icon although no cable connected

Hi,
i immediately flashed my Flyer to Honeycomb after i received it and worked with the first HC leak from Paul so far. Now i updated to the newest leak (with downgrading from GB first) and i still have a problem i got from the beginning.
Unfortunately i don't know if it occured in GB too, because GB was only a couple of minutes on the flyer.. ;-)
What is the problem?
I charge the turned on Flyer over night and after disconnecting the charging icon is still shown. Turning the device of and on (Fastboot) doesn't help but completely rebooting does.
When i don't reboot i need to wait a long time until i get a message that there is more battery capacity consumed than could be charged and now i can connect the cable again, disconnect it and the charing icon disables.
Am i the only one with this issue?
I am a little afraid that this is a hardware error!?
Regards
Daniel
Noone?
Okay, who owns a Flyer, runs a HC leak and has no problems about that?
Do you charge like i do (over night, charging while turned on, plug out while turned on)?
I have us best buy flyer. Running leaked hc. I do not have this issue and charge my flyer over night while turned on. Not sure what could be causing your issue
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e using xda premium
This is really annoying! I just connected the flyer to my pc to copy same data and after disconnecting the charger icon still remains. wtf!?
So if noone has this issue, what could be the cause?
This happens to me occasionally. Just a simple reboot usually fixes the issue.
@geebee1932: occasionally? About how often in let's say 10 charging processes?
This time a reboot did not work. I then connected and disconnected the charger and it did not word too. Only a reboot and disconnect while rebooting helped to get rid of the charging icon.
Really strange and as so many people don't have this problem i assume it must be a hardware defect!?
What about warranty of the usb port when you unlocked the bootloader with htcdev.com?
I find that if the icon is still there and I select one of the 4 options it automatically kills the icon, loads the sd card, and everything is normal. If not then I'll restart.
Sorry? What 4 options do you mean?

}
Got it... Okay i will try it the next time.
It occured again.
These 4 options only appear when connecting to the pc right?
As i charge with the normal ac cable i cant use this hint. Or do i misunderstand you?
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e using XDA App
Yes, only when connected to the PC.
Another trick I do is look at the power button, if it stays orange even after disconnecting the cable wait a few seconds then press the power button, press it to turn on the screen, and it should go away. This is more to get the SD card loaded, but will also kill the icon.
Other thing to note is that when you disconnect the usb cable at the PC, but leave the other side of the usb connected to the Flyer it will still think the usb is plugged into something. Once I disconnect it at the Flyer it will load my SD card and end the usb icon. As you can tell I have SD card loading issues more than the usb icon.
As I said though, restart should be worst case if it doesn't go away which hasn't happened to me yet.
I sent it to htc for warranty repair now.
Unfortunately it got lost while shipping. Hope i get my money back from the insurance...

Galaxy S2 4G won't turn on.

Hey.
I've had my S2 4G ( i9210T ) a whole day now, I rooted it ect, and then I accidentally flashed a S2 rom ( I9100 ) and now theres no download mode, no recovery, no nothing at all.
Anyone have any ideas or can help me?
You mean you can't even get into the bootloader? Wow... Try flashing a stock rom on it through your pc using Odin.
Pretty sure you bricked it mate, send it back to Samsung lol
Sent from my 80GB CyanogenMOD 9 + Siyah ICS powered beast. Booya!!
Well you could try some things like wiping SD, wiping phone and put stock roms and everything on it. After that. Yea send it back.
It's completly ****ted, no recovery, no download, no lights, no vibrations absolutely nothing, not even a backlight button. PC don't even recognize it when I plug it in.
Does it show android...!...PC? Remove battery reinsert it. Get a JIG (google samsung JIG) and then insert it when you start the phone. Then when you see download mode pull it out and connect it to your pc and using Odin you should be able to flash it.
If that phone--!--PC don't show up then you're just straight up ****ed, I think.
Nope nothing comes up on the screen, not a damn thing. I've tried the old hair dryer trick ( worked on old SGS2 ) and it didn't make it go to download mode.
There is literally not a sign of life at all, will go down get some resistors tomorrow and try make a jig, what resistors do I need?
unlucky
Oh man, thats bad :/
You will need a mini-usb-A male connector and a 300k resistor. Then solder the resistor to the connector like this:

[Q] My phone is not charging, any help?

Hi guys, I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300, there's like a couple of days where it does not charge, or barely does, sometimes it charges about 5% in 1 or 2 hours and sometimes it does not takes charge at all..I've been looking at the internet that this problem is not so unique with this model, but I don't know what to do to get it back working properly, it was working fine when I just got it, I have it since about 1 month maybe, I read that a factory reset could fix it, or even this:
First take the battery out of the phone for about 10 seconds. Then with the battery out plug the phone up, wait a few seconds, and put the battery in and immediately press power. Should be as good as new.
But I don't know, could you please give some alternatives to try? thanks a lot!
