Why does every time I copy an Image either by using Droid Manager, or by accessing the phone memory from My Computer (on Windows) I have to reboot the phone so I can see the image in Albums App?!
Any solution!?

I followed the guide to install ClockworkMod, and then Cyanogen 6.1 and all went fine. Now I'm trying to install Flash and fix the Android Market, but I'm having problems. First, I can't access the gtablet by USB anymore since I installed Cyanogen. There is an icon in the top left showing that USB is connected and an option of "Select to copy files to/from your computer". When I select this, a screen flashes very fast and then disappears. All I can make out is the word 'Connected' followed by some long explanation. I also see the green android guy pictured on that screen.
I've also tried connecting a thumb drive, and can't access it either through File Manager (which came with Cyanogen 6.1). Most directories I can access through File Manager show me "This folder is empty" when I click on them, including sdcard and sd-ext. One final thing I've tried is to simply create a new folder, and I get the message "could not create new folder".
When I tried to download an apk file from the internet, I get a message saying that it needs an external sdcard to download anything. Basically I'm left with a very disabled tablet...even moreso than what came out of the box. I'm a newbie at this, so can anyone please give me some suggestions?
Every time I download a file onto my tfp I can't see it via usb nor via dlna for hours. I can see the files on my tfp with 'File Manager' but if I plug my tfp into my PC, all recently downloaded files are invisable. Same issue for files via dlna. Initially thought my dlna apps had a floor until I tried to transfer a file via usb and I was like "Where is it"? I can transfer the file wirelessly with 'ES File Explorer' but it is painfully slow.
Same thing happened to me recently too. Only showed the DCIM folder via USB. After a reboot (tablet), the other directories slowly came back and then the files, but it seemed like it was struggling forever.
I finally had access after 1.5 hours and 2 reboots.
Does Android use an indexing service to maintain its listing of files?
If this were the case, maybe a new index is created for newly downloaded files and it is migrated with the master index via a process. In my case, maybe the process isn't working correctly but a reboot will cause it to restart?
Not sure if this is related to the problem but I frequently receive a popup advising "Unfortunately. Asus task manager has stopped".
Just discovered something. I can access all new files via dlna with 'My Net' running but when I use a couple of dlna apps from the market (Imediashare and Skifta), the new files are invisible.
I have an Android tablet and my PC running Windows 7 Pro. I am using ES File Explorer on Android to see shared folders.
I added some folders to the Music/Picture/Video libraries and shared them in a homegroup. I tried to make the homegroup not need a password and it'll let me access my PC from my tablet and view the root folders but as soon as I tried to access a folder (Music) it'll say permissions aren't available. It will work if I set a password and login with my account.
The second issue is that I'm seeing folders that I don't want to see. I can see a ADMIN$ folder (which is C:\WINDOWS), C$, D$, E$ (the HDDs), IPC$, print$, User. As well as Music, Pictures, Videos from the library. The folders in bold aren't shared so I don't know why I'm seeing them.
The last issue is that a folder (a whole drive actually) isn't being shared. I included the whole E: Drive in the Videos folder but it won't show up in the Video folder from the tablet. However if I include a folder from within the E: Drive then it will show up. Can I not include the root of a drive in a library? I mean it works on the PC.
Hello there.
It seems this problem is quite common, from the fist time I plug the device in MTP mode, no alteration I do on the phone using android will reflect on the PC, for example, if I plug the phone for the first time after a boot and delete a file using android, it will still show on PC, it doesn't matter if I refresh the folder or even change the USB port. I have to reboot the phone to get it working again. It seems that when you plug the phone on the PC it creates a 'cache' that never gets refreshed.
I would like to know if there's a way to refresh such 'cache' or other solution to this, perhaps by allowing the phone to be seen as a fully featured mass storage device. My phone is rooted. Perhaps there's even a patch or something. My device is a Moto G Dual, Android 4.3.
I don't want to use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. I recharge my phone on the PC and I would like to also use the connection to transfer files without having to reboot my phone.
If I rename a file for example (using android), so it shows the old name on the PC, it's impossible to access it, even by accessing the exact path (both the old or new) manually.
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance.
Been rockin' a US998 V30 (unlocked and rooted) for a while and generally love the phone but just recently have had a problem when connecting to a PC to transfer data. If I try to open a photo (Using Windows Photos) the first one on internal memory or SD card will open but subsequent photos get an error "Sorry, Photos can't open this file because the format is currently unsupported, or the file is corrputed." If I try to copy a file to the PC, I get an error message: "Error Copying File or Folder / The requested resource is in use."
Last night I did wipe/reformat the data partition from TWRP (as well as clear cache and ART) both prior to creating a nandroid and after restoring.
Any one got any ideas? Wipe/reformat ALL partitions and restore backup? Dying nand chip?
Similar issue on my v20 under both Windows 10 and 7.
Discovered that windows was trying to build icons using
thumbnails of pics. Turned off thumbnails, and all worked
as it should. Also, try turning off search indexing for that
particular drive as windows tries to inventory contents and
as Android allows single file to be accessed at a time... index
process might be interfering.
Have experienced connection issues with my v30 recently. Had downloaded Netflix shows that I tried to watch with USBC to HDMI cable on a TV. Dropped out every couple of min. Assume my usbc is going. May just be age of the phone.
