I need it coz my provider supports a CALL which can be paid by the called person and its typed as *135*number#. when i enter this, it isnt logged in callogger so i cant find the time i called this USSD code. also when i want to see my money limit ive to enter *123# code it would be great to see these calls in logger. I wish it is possible.

XDA (Siemens SX56) would complain service code must enter from the keypad. We have serveral call forward numbers in the contact list that we use regularly. Every time, we try to use MS Voice Command to dial those call forwarding number, it would complain and would not proceed with the action. Any ideas? work around would be greatly appreciate!
Example, for Rogers AT&T in Canada, *21*<phone number>#, will call divert (forward) the mobile number to another number.
I have the same problem on Rogers ATT with XDA II... not sure what causing it. Anybody? Any ideas?
This is a Microsoft issue. They are aware of it, and it is on their list of things to fix. Just not that high up the list.
Speed dial seems to the only way to do gsm service code
Speed dial is the only way to get call forwarding working. However, MS Voice Command does not seem to allow speed dial a number.
Does Speed-Dial work for you?
Like others, if I store a *21* sequence as a contact, and then use this to establish a speed-dial entry, I get the "must use phone keypad" error message.
I haven't been able to directly store a number as a speed-dial. "New" only lets me select something from contacts, and "Edit" only lets me change the name and speed-dial location, not the dial string.
Have you actually been able to store a *21* string directly into a speed-dial and have it work properly? If so, can you tell me how?
Thanks
Hi,
Does anyone know how to change the default voice mail number that is set to speed dial "1"? I came from BB and there is an option to enter a password for my voice mail. All I want to do is to add my voice mail password into the default voice mail number. This way I don't have to enter a password when I check voice mail.
Thank you guys!
its under settings/call settings, the problem for me is that its greyed out so I can't edit it. Hopefully you have more success.

Same here! It's greyed out. Anyone?
If you're on AT&T, the VM has a feature where it turns off the need to type in the security code if the call is coming from the handset that the VM is storing messages for. If you dial in on another line, the system will prompt for the security code.
I think this is a better method than entering the code into the dialing process.
yeah either rogers or bell used to do that. (thinking it was bell landline)
What file can I edit in gear manager so that it will dial *72 for activation and *720 for deact........for some reason it keeps dialing *28 to activate and *38 deactive... I keep getting errors that the code is an invaild code switch error...etc
**EDIT*
ok i think I found the file:
data/data/com.samsung.:android.hostmanager/files/callfwdlist.xml
going down the list i found sprint...and the codes 28 and 38.......my changes dont stick. Everytime I reboot 28 and 38 come back.
Yes it would be great to be able to change the codes. I would like to add the code to shorten the number of rings before forwarding. I know the codes and have experimented with trying to add them to the forwarding number in Settings but it doesn't work doing it that way.

this is killing me not able to use the gear to trigger call forward cause of those dammm 28/38 codes......right now I am using an app on the phone to manually cf with 72/720 codes.
I have a samsung gs4 and i cant call my voicemaill *86 It tells me invalid mmi code Other times I get the operator telling me the number I called is invalid. I also have a few apps that can start from the dialer that no longer start because of the above errors. I am rooted and running stock verizon firmware. My network operator is Telcel in Mexico.
I have to say it is not Telcel's fault since I can't use my dialer to run gallery vault either. The pin for that app starts with a ##1234 i.e. ## (then 4 digit pin )
I can make and receive calls no problem.
This problem started around 3 months ago, nothing was changed in android's settings or any app that have administrator privledges. I noticed this because I received a notification regarding a voicemail I received and wasn't able to check it.
( I don't get many v.m. )
I can call customer ( *264 ) service but only by prefixing a ( # ) i.e. I have to dial #*264 in order for the call to go through.
If I dial *264 as per Telcel's official c.s. number, I get the invalid code or mmi number error.
As per launching the gallery vault app via dialer, I have no luck with prefixing the "#" as with the c.s. number, since the launch code already starts with 2 "#" 's. I.e. ( ###1234 ) doesn't launch app.
I have a problem with country codes. When my wife sends me a text and i try and answer it nothing happens. My phone sais the message is sent, but she never gets the message.
I think i have found the problem. The country code is missing. I have entered her phone number as +46xxxxxxxxx but in the text the "+46" part is missing.
Might be useful to know that i have a danish sim card (+45) but i live in sweden (+46). Therefor have i edited all my contacts so they all have the +XX code in front of their phone numbers.
If i initiate a new text message and send it to her it works as it should, but when she initiates a new conversation the problem occur.
Any tips? It's really annoying as i have no idea that the message havent been received!!!!
I read something about "international call assist" but i cand find that setting anywhere
