Fix for random reboots?? - HTC Amaze 4G

Not sure if this has been posted on here yet....but i was randomly surfing the net, and i ran into this article from tmobile. Apparently they released an app to remove the files that are causing the reboot on the HTC Amaze. Its called Amaze Memory Clear and they released it to the play store. Want to try it but not sure if it will mess with settings on a custom rom (Speedrom 7.6) and was wondering if anybody has tried it yet. Below is the link to the page on t-mobile where they explain what it does.
http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4492

Just about everyone who has had amaze issues after the ics update has tried it, works well, helped a lot of people, shouldn't matter what rom you're on, though tbh if you're on a custom rom with random reboots, a full device wipe and reinstallation of the rom would be something worth considering as well.

No Sound HomeBase just like stock?

Latest HomeBase (BLUR with kernel). When I first got the phone after a few hours you cannot hear or speak. You have to restart the phone in order to make or take a phone call. Assumed using a new rom would fix it considering the Sprint OTA fixed it but I still have the issue. After anywhere between 2 hours and 8 hours of the phone being on is when the problems start.
It was my understanding this was Software related but after trying a few roms with the same problem I don't know? Should I just go back to stock and install the OTA? Roms are cool but being able to talk is better.
I would. Also you should have posted this in the Q&A section or in the homebase rom thread.

What version of the Home Base rom are you on? I'm on v1.5 with the 4.2 update and have no issues. So perhaps you could try that one? And I had that issue until the OTA update too.

To start, this isnt any type of development so it should be posted in general....
My question to you is do you have a Sprint airave in your home? That was the issue i had. If the problem is in custom roms try stock again.

I've recently flashed v1.5 and updated with 4.2. Loved it except that when I tried to download anything in the market it would tell me that there was insufficient space on my device. I had even reformatted my external and internal storage. Then I tried using the marketfix.zip. It would say it was downloading and then disappear from my notifications. I was wondering if you were having this problem at all?
The only time I have had a market issue was when I first flashes the ROM and it was the old market then it dud a little song and dance and ypdated to the new market at which point anything I was downloading prior was gone. But after that haven't had any issues. Is this the issue you are having? If not.....try to reflash the ROM

New to photon. Got some questions

Hello everyone I just got this the other day and I rooted/unlocked it day one. I have tried many roms cm7, rocko, cm9, aokp (current rom) and loved it all but I have some questions;
1. On aokp i seem to randomly have to click things 3-6 times to get it to register or go away (ie, confirmations, superuser requests, and the game C.H.A.O.S.) This was not an issue on non ics roms.
2. My favorite game C.H.A.O.S. is a triple touch game, in my 2 days of experience it seems on stock and stock based roms only 2 touch works and on aosp roms its up to 5. However in both cm7 and ics I am having consistent issues with my touches being glitchy and sticky during gameplay. Is this a hardware or driver issue? Is there any stock based rom that offers faithful triple touch?
3. No matter what ics rom im on Chrome force closes all the time is this normal? Opera wont even open
4. Are there settings or options on what orientation the kickstand defaults to on ics? It doesnt auto rotate and i would like to be able to charge it while using the kickstand.
Thank you guys in advance

Welcome!
1) Not normal. wipe cache, dalvik, and fix perms. Users also report weird problems if installing via Kitchen Sink, it's not done yet. If thats the case for you, try installing the old fashioned way through cmw.
2) I dont have this issue in cm7. But it is to be expected in the ICS roms at the moment.
3) Chrome doesnt work as it uses video acceleration and we dont have the correct video drivers yet. Opera 12 hasn't worked in any iteration of our ICS roms.
4) Not sure about this one, i never use my kickstand.
Chrome hasn't worked well on ICS roms for the Photon yet. Opening a tab always force closes the browser. For the touch issues, did you flash the water droplet fix? The phone has a software "feature" that ignores long presses over a certain length of time, making gaming a frustrating endeavor.

All that fix does is prevent the phone from automatically releasing your touch after a certain time when you tap and hold. I think your problem extends a bit further than that. Worth a shot though.

You may have deeper issues with your touch screen but this is worth a shot. I'd make a backup just in case but it worked for me in the past.

That works! Thanks for the help. Still a bit torn between this hybrid 2.3.5 rom and AOKP but at least now im able to play my game lol.
Edit: joystick still sticks occasionally in ics so im sticking to the hybrid rom with the waterdrop fix for now. Ics feels very stable but doesnt fit my daily driver just yet.

the alternate Libs are ones joker is trying to see if they work/help the 2d issues. They are a mash up of different devices and Androids (2.3/4.0) that he is using, I think.

Hi
New to Photon.
I ordered n got an unlocked version of Sprint Photon 4G n I live in India.
There are many sprint specific apps on ma Mopho which I don't want. So my question is
1. Can I flash a STOCK Rom without any of those apps if yes where do I find the Rom?
2. Will RSD lite do the job?
3. Will there be any other issues if anyone has tried it?
Any other advice is appreciated.
Thank you

Follow all the directions and proceed to flash any rom of your choosing. If you are looking for a stock based rom with sprint crap removed I suggest peetr's stock 2.3.5 cm7 hybrid multilingual rom in the dev section.
Happy flashing

A few more clarifications:
1.I tried setting up 2G internet connection today. I use Vodafone in India on that phone. EVERYTHING works except the Data! Vodafone India reps have promised a call back cuz it didn't get resolved.
What else could I try now?
2.The USSD code to check available balance etc doesn't work. It simply keeps saying requesting details or something like that!
Is it in some way locked or anythin?
(It's an Unlocked Sprint phone I repeat.)
Thank you again

Data and Wi-Fi turns on

Hi.
My data and Wi-Fi keeps turning itself on. I googled around and found that this problem has been around for a while and a lot of people are complaining about this however there still isn't any solution. Some suggested that ShopSavy was doing this, but I uninstalled it and still got the problem, and I even re-installed the ROM. Looks like this is happening to ICS users only.
Really need some solution to this...
HTC Incredible S
Android version 4.0.4
IceColdSandwich vivo-8.3.AOKP-ROSSI
This bug is really annoying, need help.

[Q] Bluetooth not discovering any devices, Help?

Hate to make my first post an issue post, but I have searched all over XDA for the answer and couldnt find anything particular to my issue. I flashed CM10 to my phone and noticed my Bluetooth would turn on but would not pick up any devices in device search. I tried multiple speakers and headsets and nothing would work. I did a hard wipe and installed MeanBean thinking that it was a ROM related issue. Tried it again on MeanBean and same issue. I tried fixing permissions and Bluetooth Fix app and still nothing. Can anyone help?
(I am on the latest radio/firmware and v.06 MeanBean)
Same exact issue !

My evo lte has been doing this for as long as i can remember also. I've been through dozens of roms and full wipes and still no bluetooth at all, not even recognizable.
Try deleting everything that is paired or was paired and then reboot. You may have Bluetooth defects if that still doesnt work. I have used on many sense roms, cm10, 10.1 varients with no problems. Hope that helps.

Im having the same issue
I have updated my radios and noticed that i lost my Bluetooth connectivity. I was originally running meanrom ics until JB came around. Then updated my radios and moved to JB MeanBean. I did an Ruu and got it back to stock. No dice, stock rom Bluetooth still cannot find or be found. I tried my laptop ipad macbook car audio everything and nothing works. I ve never had any issues with my phone and it seems after Jelly Bean Bluetooth is non existent.
Currently I am running
Twrp 2.3.1
Arc Reactor Kernel
MeanBean3.09
Is there a way to see if the actual Bluetooth is borked or if its working properly, "if its sending a signal"?
Is it possible that something happened when upgrading that the BlueTooth became corrupted? or can it just plain old stop working, died?
At that point if it's Borked on several roms
Then it's time to take it into sprint. That's a manufacturer defect / issue and they should swap it out. Assuming you bought legit from them
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Yes I bought it legit when it came out. I also have the insurance plan with Sprint. The only thing I'm worried about is the new hboot and unlocking/rooting the new phone .
But I guess if it means a new phone then I guess its best... To get a fresh new evo

Wifi Calling with Revolution HD?

Hi guys,
I have a T-Mobile HTC One and last night I unlocked, rooted, and flashed ARHD 30.0. I used to have the capability of Wifi calling, which T-Mobile offers for free. For those of you unfamiliar who may be familiar with a substitute, this feature allows users to call and text over Wifi, which is especially useful when service is unavailable.
Ever since I flashed the ROM, this feature doesn't show up in my settings. Does anyone know of a substitute that has the same or similar features? Also, does anyone know of the newest Revolution ROM that includes this capability? I'd like the newest possible ROM.
Thanks
I believe when T mobile release 4.3 for the One the devs will be able to include wifi calling in their ROMs. I don't know of any alternatives. 4.3 is supposed to go out on Monday so it shouldn't too much longer...
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
OK great. So you think it should be available in the next couple of weeks? Does Mike make these ROMs specifically for different carriers or is it a one ROM fits all kind of thing?
Also, if I flash a newer ROM, do I lose all my data on my phone? And if so, is there a way to backup and restore everything including my apps and settings?
I'm pretty new to this. Thanks for your help.
If you're on 4.1.2 right on you're going to get some annoying problems when first updating.
You'll most likely just want to do a complete wipe of your entire phone. (backup what you need)
There is a adb command you can run, check the trickdroid website there's a tutorial.
If we get an update Monday, Wi-Fi calling should be added relatively quickly to the existing ROMs. Like a day or two.

Ok great. Will the new Revolution HD ROM have a different version number? I just want to make sure I don't miss it. And when it is released, where will be the first place it will be announced? I'm very anxious to get my W-Fi calling back, since I have poor reception at school and work, but Wi-Fi is more readily available.

FYI, Insertcoin 5.0-5 incorporated the latest T-Mo update, and now has working Wi-fi calling on T-Mobile. ARHD will likely upgrade soon too, but these roms are somewhat similar and Insertcoin runs great. Here's a link:

Hmm. I may have to try InsertCoin if Mike doesn't update his ROM. He just released a new version of ARHD (31.0) and it doesn't say anywhere that he's added WiFi calling. So I'm not sure if he is planning on doing it in the next couple of weeks or if he's just going to forget about it.

I bit the bullet and tried insert coin, not too impressed compared to trickdroid although it's probably just due to my ignorance.
No back4menu baked in
Seems a bit sluggish compared to trickdroid, which was already noticibly slower than when I first flashed it months ago
Didn't remove all the bloat I asked it to
Didn't allow my play store apps to auto d/l (weird one - tried two flashes and no dice, tried a different 4.3 rom and all my apps came right back)
That said, it is 4.3 with wifi calling but I'm still rolling back to 4.1.2 for now and sending trickdroids guy 10$ on paypal with a note about wifi calling

Hmmm I came from Trickdroid, then ARHD and have stayed on Insertcoin; zero lag here and no problems auto downloading apps at all. Also Xposed mods work too. But, everyone has their rom preferences, so good luck!
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. behold_this's ROM looks promising, but I messaged mike and he said wifi calling "will come" so I think I'm going to hold off for a few more weeks and hopefully he'll have made the ROM by then.
 Good to know im actually looking for a rom with wifi calling since i dont have great coverage where i live. ill check the mentioned roms out, although was really interested on pacman rom
I will be keeping an eye out for this as well. I sent a PM to the developer for AR HD a day or so ago asking, but no response yet.
I'm no developer, but this seems like it would be pretty simple and quick to implement the WiFi calling feature from the stock T-Mobile ROM which came out almost three weeks ago. I'm really surprised it isn't out yet, especially as he seems to know that people are waiting for it. Then again, most of us aren't paying him for his work. I just don't know how much longer to wait... I seem to have terrible service and WiFi all the time.

It's not as easy as you might think. To implement Wi-Fi calling into a rom the base HAS to be the tmobile base. It's not as easy as ripping an apk out.

Just because the 4.3 update has pushed out doesnt mean a dev is using it as the base. Some are, some arent.
