[Q] Acro S... Where to get? - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I would love to get an Acro S but sadly, it will not be released in Germany.
So where and since when can you get the Acro? Perhaps there is a neighbouring country where I can import it from.

why do you want the Acro S ?
Personally I did choose to get a lower rate camera, to be able to get the NovaThor SoC in stead of the Snapdragon
But if you want, can you buy it from Denmark. I know that the phone is most likely more expensive in Denmark, but you can at least get it here...
here it is on on stock, for about €525,79

Import it from HK. Shipping will take about 1-2 weeks at max and it's cheaper than import from Europe.

but then he needs add German VAT to the price and import taxes, that is the main reason why I would never import such a device from outside EU.

Yes, HK's electronics are generally cheap.
Damn the price in HK..
Got mine at 7,5million IDR
Approx. 750US$
Supposed to come with SBH50 and a flip cover.. but there is some mismatching information about this. Several vendors sell the unit with identical bonus items, but when asked for confirmation the vendors replied that the unit and bonuses come directly from sony. They just handle the sales.. WTH
And the distribution starts at 20th August here.. have been a long, long week now
$705. Popular Electronics. They matched Mobile City Online's price
Ordered today, $682 shipped from an Amazon merchant in the US. There were a few cheaper sellers, but there was usually a reason for that. Not so great customer service feedback, strict return policies, and/or slow shipping (international).
$600 US from eBay seller.
sonystyle hong konk is more expensive

People who goes to HK and shop for electronics don't buy from Sony Store or official stores which sells at RRP/SRP. They usually visit the street shops which sells it cheaper.

Now prices have come down, now 14m vnd which is $663
I've bought for 26190 Russian rubles in Moscow, not official distributor Hk version. it equals approximately 790 US$. To buy from HK will be $735, what includes from ten to twenty days waiting and and expedited delivery.
got it for $648USD shipped from Amazon sellers. Just fyi since most of us look at ebay first
$629 US DHL 2 day shipping included from HK

C6802 is in stock with those guys... If you are specific about getting the North American version C6806...it's a pre-order with a tentative release date of End of August...
Cheers...
Guy on ebay uk has two of the C6833 LTE models in stock to sell. I messaged him yesterday and he said he was lucky enough to get them early. I've preordered from clove now, but this may be of interest to someone who wants it early. Just an observation, he seems genuine but he doesn't have a lot of feedback so it may be worth collecting in person if you'r uk based.

Importing to USA

So I'm planning on importing a Z2.
I'm on AT&T, are there any unforeseen consequences to doing this?
I just want to make sure I don't screw myself.
Thanks in advance.

I did it and it was painless. I had my concerns but someone on another forum recommended a reputable dealer "e-bagel-tw" on eBay. He accepted my "best offer" price and the shipping was free. Since it's an international phone, it has to have AT&Ts LTE enabled after you get it. Some people have been panicking thinking they're stuck with 3G, but it's perfectly compatible once you download and install the right files.

Do you know a reliable source for these files? Just getting my ducks in a row.
I'm also on AT&T. I will say that I'd you don't already have the correctly enabled sim card, the system will give you a 3G only one of they enable the Z2 in your account. I had to go back and get them to fake the system into thinking I siding a different model so that it would provision LTE on my account.
Other than that, turn on LTE in the settings and use the system software to download the Internet settings and you're golden.
FYI, I dealt with the same seller and have the same comments about how great he is.

I wish I was paying more attention at the time. I took the phone to a local AT&T device support location in NYC when I realized I was not receiving data. The tech there couldn't figure it out at first either which is when mild panic started to set in and I backed off to let him fiddle with it. Eventually, he had a eureka moment when he stumbled upon a setting that required the download of a little file that allows the phone to connect to US LTE carriers. AT&T was one of the choices. Now in my phones settings: tools...wireless networks...more...internet settings...accept...and one of the three choices is ATT.
I'm going to order one as well. Probably will use the same seller.

That's because it hasn't been released in the US yet (I assume that's where you are by the carriers listed).
All of us in the US that have a Z2 have one imported from one of the other countries it has been released in(even if we got it from a US seller).

J9110 on Ebay

The dual-sim version is already available on Ebay. But one of the sellers states that their devices are Chinese version that might come without Google Play pre-installed (and that it can be installed separately). Could anyone please clarify, are there any pitfalls in this configuration?
I don't seem to be able to find J9110 anywhere else at the moment.
Looks like a generic comment they make, which usually are for phones that are made by Chinese company(e.g., huawai, oppo)
You don't really need to worry about that on Sony phones.

Thank you.
Like I mentioned...I think the whole no Google play issues is for phones that's from Chinese manufactures.
The HK version I got was normal android stuff. The whole set up was in English. You wouldn't even know it's the HK version, the only indication was that there's a Chinese keyboard that you can choose as an option.

Could you list the apps pre installed? Is there the Sh*t Keyboard oops Swift Keyboard?
The only keyboard included is the google multilingual keyboard.

Why you say that? I thought dual sim model is available on Europe too.
And a advice when buying online, some websites sell new devices but list the box content only as the phone, usb cable and charger. I think they remove the earphones and the adapter. There a few us sellers now on ebay, i ordered from one of them. They are listed as sealed box.

It comes with International (euro) software.
There are some out there with a euro firmware already. Mine is from Norway. Check Xperifirm to see which regions have a dual sim firmware.
These are all very tempting. I had to send mine back to Clove because there was a display issue. They're out of stock for Purple, so they can't send out a replacement immediately, not unless I opt for black. Thinking of getting a refund and just buying off from eBay. But the warranty/customer service from Clove is great....
