I have a few guys in kind but not of the Amaze era.
adlx, br3ttu, ngiordano and HandlerExploit (but he goes by a different name now.)
I sent my spare phone temporarily to a dev a few months ago, and I doubt there's gonna be anything from it, I haven't heard that he's done anything, so I feel like that was a bust.
I doubt I'd send it out to anyone else, not worth it, but at least he and I tried.
I'm in a similar position except that my phones screen is badly cracked. The keyboard doesn't come up to unlock at first boot and idk if it had usb debugging enabled so that I can mess with it. Phone is stock. So I figured if a dev receives it shouldn't be a problem bc I dont have the time to s off and so on
If your talking about sandvold well idk of him except what ever updates he's been letting us know on that thread so I'm hoping for that.
I'm looking for someone that can get us data and sense 4 / aosp. Team virtuous did it for the desire hd, and team blackout did to. Other than that I was thinking show-p for kernels as well.
Our forums development seems to have reached a halt. No offense sports and eclipse ziggy craig others but I think we've reached our limit as to what we can do with what we have. It seems now were just throwing different launchers on top. I don't have the time to help but maybe I can donate/ sell a phone to someone who can.

It'll be on its way back soon, the guy was cool about it, it just didn't work out. I won't say any names though, no point.
But to everyone though you've gotta understand concerning the lack of dev at the moment, the only devs we've got currently are young and are in school, so considering school just started again, you've got to give them some time to settle, and if they have time I'm sure they'll get something going. School is way more of a prioroty then putting out a rom, so I say be happy with, and make the most of, what we've got at the moment.

So i have been looking but haven't found anything. does any body know of a way to turn on like a fast boot mode like the htc phones have on the photon? I love this phone but it takes so dang long to boot up. I think something like this would be great for this phone.

From what i understand both of those have broken 4g and i can't deal with that. i am just stock rooted with some various tweaks here and there, but there is no way to steal some files to help stock boot like that. I mean on the htc phones it is a check box in the settings menu. Sorry i am no good at coding and just have no time with work to really take on a project like this. If anybody knows of a way to do it, i would be willing to make a donation, but i need 4g to work.

What can one do with SHIP S-OFF on the HTC Amaze 4G?

2 read on the development forums and find the S off forum and check your versions of your phone to the ones that have been grabbed and if its a different version
3 create need to create dumps the entire phone. but im not sure.. really check the soff thread under development

Yeah cause they've been having a hard time getting S-Off with this phone which is really holding back ROM development. It's the reason they cant slap a ICS ROM on there.
Xboarder already have a s-off device just like you did, it would be nice if you sale it to another high developer like faux123 he works with kernels he might figure out how the drivers works with a s-off amaze or to a coder, so these people can figure out all the drivers and how to get ours s-off

That's not the problem at all. The reason why ICS roms aren't going so well is because HTC hasn't released the drivers/code for WiFi, BT, etc, so these aren't working in ICS rom ports. S-ON is not much more than a minor annoyance and can be worked around. Once an ICS build has been leaked by HTC, ICS development should pick up.

I'm looking for a few testers willing to waste around 10 minutes of their time to try and see if this ROM works. It's Gummy for the 4G LTE, built from kushdeck's device and vendor tree and the latest TeamGummy sources. I can not guarantee anything, as I do NOT have an EVO 4G LTE and I will not get one until I get my allowance of approximately $250USD by the end of June.

Quick download and install. Too bad I can't see or read anything. Everything is distorted. It like trying to watch a ppv as a kid with the scrambler on to catch a glimpse. All I see is horizontal scrambler running across my screen. Try tapping the screen and got some confirmation but it doesn't look like it working yet. Good luck on the build. Looking forward to your ROM coming from an OG Evo.

Battery life is smokin!!!!
Its literally amazing. 4+ hrs screen on time, I've even gotten 5+hrs (but that day I plugged into PC twice for just a couple minutes to transfer files). But you get a full day easy. In fact, I'm kind of afraid to even mess with anything and break it.
Glad to see you coming, bro. You'll be a huge asset to the community, just as you are now to the Evo 4g community. Late bloomer lol, but when you turned it on, you turned it on to "Max" 10+

Here's the logcat basically from the time the I could see the boot animation through to the when the phone is loaded. I tried tapping the screen a bunch of times and just got a blue highlight selection and then that was it. Hope this helps

Hi all.
My wife's phone recently played out for the third time within a year (D2). When they replaced it this time they sent her a completely different phone.
Well she liked my DX2 better so I got the other (sam strat) phone. I had planned on moving to another phone in the not so distant future but looks like I got moved sooner then I thought. (Still gonna get a different phone in the near future)
The DX2 community on here is incredible, and I am sure that goes without saying and everyone of you guys and gals know that! I will miss my phone and the community but it's time to move on I suppose. I wish you all the best, I am sure I will stop in from time to time to check up on things.

I'm rockin AT&T's Atrix 2 on the 4.0.4 ICS leak and I still come in the X2 forums to try and help when I can. Had my fun on the X2 from Eclipse to CM7 and CM9 so I know whats what with the device as well. So thats a +1 for me as well. Guess I will see you over on rootzwiki then? They have a forum for the Stratosphere. Rooting+flashing isn't so bad once you learn how to use odin. It's definitly a lot easier rooting the x2, but oh well. Still stuck with 2 or 3 roms too which are all tweaked versions of stock because the radio interface layer is locked by samsung. They say we're supposed to get ICS(only reps, no official updates), but won't give out any dates or anything. Oh well.
I reccommend tweaked 2.2. Pretty awesome!

Yeah Roy I am over there. Got my phone rooted and frosted... lol No ROM or Kernel yet, just not sure if I want to go there, if I did it would deffiently be the Tweaked 2.2.

From what I gather it's possible, though not likely there is an exploit for post OTA unlock in the source. It will help development in that 2.04 ROMS such as Viper1.2 will soon have compatible custom kernels whenever the developers of their respective kernels update them.
I suppose there can be other possible benefits but I have not heard anyone mention them.
Kernel source won't help bootloader unlock.

Dang. I was hoping this would be true.
My wife's dna took a swim. Had to cash out her another. (crossed fingers for non ota) but I lost.
She wanted dna even after I warned her it was probably unrootable. She said Dna. Well a few days later she is yelling @ me to fix this garbage lol.

I guess she is used to stellar battery life, not having all the bloat, being over clocked and fast as all get out on Viper rom.
The area she works gets better signal with old radio's while I get better with new radio's??
No wife tether
Missing a few root only apps, missing data since she can't restore.
Look don't take offense. This phone is great, but when you get used to certain things is hard to go back.
