Yes you can. You can nandroid any setup you may have.

I meant that I want to Make many nandroid copies without replacing any old backup. Is that possible? Or just one copy is allowed?

It doesn't replace the nandroid, it creates a new one. If you want to delete them for space later you can, but the recovery will not automatically overwrite it.
Like they already said, you can do as any as you want. I currently have 4. One rooted stock rom, one Cyanogenmod 7.2 one Cyanogenmod 9 and an early Cm9 beta 4

Don't forget to rename the backup with rom, kernel and date etc so easier to manage if you need to recover

You actually need to be careful with this. On my device, if you don't rename them using a certain format (no spaces, etc) then they won't restore.
Assuming that you're using CWM (I don't), it should be somewhere in the ClockworkMod folder.

Don't forget to check if you have space enough for your backups. And remember what hboot you were using on all the different backups. I had a few problems with so many backups. Hehe

I think the error refers to rfs format in the system partition.
Could that be the ics ROM is in ext4 format?
cuz I checked its Backup folder and there was a file something like ext4-data. Otherwise, in the GB backup there is rfs-data.

I assume you have usb debugging mode on..
And have your phone unlocked so you see the homescreen and wait for "Watch now your device. Select the backup named RootMe and restore it!"
After you have done that it should be good to go..

Long story short I was running CM9 and I had an Important Message on there.
I need to get it but I don't want to reflash my ROM to get it.
Can I extract it from a CWM backup?

Why you don't backup Messages using stock Backup And Restore tools?
But that only works in stock ROM.
I think you can't extract the messages...

Follow these
1.Go to CWM
2.Backup and Restore
3.Hit Backup
4.Done
These will backup your whole Rom and at the time of restore just hit restore that's it
the backup will save in sd/clockworkmod/backup/Here
I knew dis step but i hv 1 confusion.should i ned to wipe everything like installing fresh rom
