So let the debating begin, again
Whats the point of having a phone that can't fully be unlocked and you can't flash a kernal to it if you unlock it the HTC way? my g/f iphone is unlocked and I use hotspots on it and numerous other things on it.. I have played with the EVO LTE and I'm more impressed with GS3 im not impressed with EVO LTE after playing around with one and they can't even bundle a set of beats ear buds and they own half the company.. so lets be patient and see what HTC have up there sleeve on the 19th of september, I need to be impressed and get that wow effect or so long HTC and andriod.. Not to mention the resale value of the iphone is pretty good, got offered $150.00 for my g/f unlocked iphone4, got offered free to recycle for my OG EVO 4g unlocked and ready for flashing BTW.. I see more pros than cons in comparison.. Im not putting my credit card info on my phone to begin with do nfc is a hit or miss with me.. And the aftermarket support is going to be redunkuless as with all iphones of the past.. And im sure that if a iphone 5s comes out next summer that the resale for the iphone 5 is going to still be a pretty penny.. and face unlock im sure as apple say's there's a app for that apple updates thru there ios so any new features will probably be updated that way to the device thats compatible with it, I was able to find siri for the iphone 4 but the processeser couldn't handle her she's a bad mutherflucker .. And I dont think anything compares to siri at this point when you can have a convo with your phone and it is smart enough to answer you back how can you top that? Even the gs3 tried to copy but couldn't compare to siri, and google invented speech to text and talk and got surpassed by apple, should I start on the video chat I use tango and qik alot as I got two brothers in the army and my family is in SC and i'm just outside of NYC so I think if anyone happened to see facetime chat on the iphone and then saw qik or tango then the two put together still wouldn't compare to facetime.. So HTC please impress me the 19 of september if not so long Andriod... Please lets keep this civilized and respect one another.. everyone is entitled to there own opinion and just cause you or I think one way doesn't mean someone else is not going to take a detour.. Its america after all freedom of speech is what I pay taxes for and what 8 billion other people living in america pay taxes for..

Wow...just wow, that turned into a pro iPhone rant pretty quickly, not that I mind, but just for the record there is no problem flashing a kernel with any of the lte hboots you can fastboot, install from android like flash image allows you to do, or use HTC dumlock and flash like normal
you seem sold on the iphone, why hesitate then? go get it and buy into the hype, the funny thing is, Apple is just now doing what Android has been doing for awhile now. as far as jail broken iphones, I put it like this to a coworker that happens to be an iphone sheep, a jail broken iphone gives you the ability to do with an iphone what you can do with an Android right out of the box basically lol. my wifes iphone is jail broken and honestly Im not really impressed.
In before lock...
My wife will be getting the iPhone 5 next month, I will continue to use android. To each their own...both phones are well suited for their respective markets. Not sure why there's always so much debate about which is better.
Sent from my EVO LTE
The most common misconception I hear from iPhone users is that android is too complicated, what so hard about pushing a picture of a phone book for contacts, a picture of an envelope for email, a picture of a clock for time etc. Then because I more then likely know that person I will eventually hear sh*t how did I do that last time as they scour through their iPhone
From the specs I'm seeing on the i5, it's only got a 4.0" screen. The discussion is pretty much over for me right there. I see no good reason to give up the bigger screen of the EvoLTE to get into the iCollective. The iPhone will not do anything my Android phones can't do, at least nothing I care about. The Android phone gives me more options. Really, it's only a question of which Android phone to me. We had the S3, but it was not as easy to use as the HTC and had odd issues. So now we have 3 of the EvoLTE's, and everything is good.
Go to phonescoop.com and compare the two. Go to youtube and watch the video of siri vs. Google now. Go to amazon and see the lte is 129 on contract right now. And you'll be able to sell this phone for hundreds still next year to someone who doesn't want to extend their contract.
I just got this bad mf free because my 3d broke so best buy gave me this because the 3d was on backorder. Gettin it tomorrow.
Hey when it comes to finding pictures of stallions siri rocks android

And before some one tries to say its rigged most of the cast and crew admit to being biased towards iPhone, last I checked only 2 of them actually had android phones

Its not that I'm against it, its just a subpar device when compared to other devices that have been out for months. There is not a single thing the 5 has that we don't. On phonescoop the only thing the 5 says it has that we don't is adjustable text size, but we all know we can adjust it. Yes im getting it tomorrow from best buy.
Edit: I'm at work ill be home in 2 hours and ill post it. I watched it last night actually. The guy has the 4s and a galaxy nexus side by side and he presses both buttons at the same time and asks a question. Zero bias and google now is simply faster. Also, he has them both connected to wifi so its not like he's on 4g on the nexus and 3g on the iphone.
Gonna check the developement forum and see what the developement is like

Is it just me but i'm envying all the Epic touch owners. I now feel like my 3d is 2nd rate only after owning it for 2 months
It's called hype. They both pretty much on par with one another spec wise except the 3D has 3d and a higher resolution screen. Remember that iphone hype you resisted when you got a 3D it's the same thing
Don't worry about it.. next week you'll have a third tier phone the way this industry is speeding up haha.
I'm sure the SGSII is great and I want one... I'll probably end up buying on when they starting popping up on Craigslist so that I can check out Samsung's phones (I've always had HTC). Your phone is great... and really not too much different

And a counter saying to the above ones as it applies here,

I know this ain't twitter, but wth lol
yep, just you. we have the best phone htc can make and the benchmark for every other company. this is the same thing that happend when the droid x came out when i had the og evo. i didnt miss anything with it and i wont miss anything with my 3d. both phones will do the same thing, o nevermind the sg2 cant do 3d lol. i guess they are stuck with a 2d pixilated version.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
yeah ive had the sg2 for about 4 months now(unlocked version of course) but there was just something telling me that i wanted a evo 3d so as soon as the gsm version was available i jumped on it my thoughts were as follows i was going to have both of them one day i would put the sim card in one and the next day switch back to the other one. the sg2 has a beautiful screen and even though it views 1080p video which when playing you cant really tell that the 3d has a higher resolution. it has 16gb internal and i have a 32 gb sd card, so i got movies galore, no music though since i dont beleive in cd's anymore all the music is on my 32gb iphone 4 lol. now back on subject to me it was a win win situation, the best of both worlds ive had my 3d for about a month now and long story short sim card has been in it everyday. trust me you're not missing anything
I felt like that when the epic came out, got one and wanted to kick myself in the ass for doing so. The epic touch is cool now but in a couple of months when updates start rolling out and the forums are full of pissed off touch owners at no updates you'll be glad you have HTC. It could be different this time but I'm leaning towards not. Anyways my 2 cents
from my 333dddeeevvvooo
I played with the Epic Touch, and I can say I prefer the Evo 3D. QHD >>>>>> HDPI. The screen on the touch feels so bloated with the huge icons and fonts. Plus, my god, you can see the pixels. It's downright ugly. The Amoled is nice, but it's not worth it for that loss of resolution.
Exactly! The screen may be more vibrant but I would take 3D and QHD over better colors any day.
I played with the ET4G for a few hours yesterday when my bf picked one up, its not noticeably better or "lightyears" ahead like some are claiming. I couldn't even tell the difference speed wise. All I know is my 3D actually feels like a high end device, the Epic Touch feels like cheap plastic. Speakers were definitely better but the resolution and feel was a deal breaker for me. He returned it for another 3D.
I'm glad I got to try it out but I would have regretted trading for one. I'll wait for the Nexus or something.

Oh get a grip. They're both great phones and they both have issues to one degree or another.
If you're the type that likes keeping up with Android and are only content with the latest and greatest. You may wan't to make some more money and buy the phones as they drop every month or two.No way you will keep up and be happy on subsidized deals...
Dont go chasing Android waterfalls my friend.
i kinda felt the same when the epic came out when i had the evo 4g but then saw samsung pretty much abandon them so im not worried i wont buy a samsung phone until they prove they can update the phones they release.
Of course you're envying that sht...that's because it's a new high end phone and you don't have it. Just ignore it.

Pretty much this. 2-4 months from now, those Epic Touch owners will be making threads like "Anyone feeling the (insert phone model here) blues?" It's never going to end. That's why I love xda and its devs and helpful people here. Always something different you can do to your phone

The 3VO is still the one of the best phones out there and in 2 weeks there will probably be a new phone out there that's even better than the epic touch.
I still don't understand all the hype surrounding the Epic Touch 9 months after it has been released to the rest of the world; I'm not a fan of any specific phone brand, but there is a certain quality to the hardware and software of the EVO 3D that is only matched by he iPhone.
To me, the Epic touch with its plastic body and fisher-price interface feels cheap despite its great hardware.
I have no reception issues with my phone, I love the form factor and the resolution, and it's blazing fast.
its a nice phone but im not a fan of touchwiz and with that big of a screen i would have like to seen it be qHD resolution.

So now it turns out that the screen is broken on my Evo3D (bottom part of the touchscreen is irresponsible to touches) this is after the whole motherboard got replaced after I had the phone for a month, so my carrier will probably let me have a new phone, though I might have to cough up 50-100$ myself...
Not sure what I should get though, so I'd appreciate some input!
I could get an Evo3d for free, but my faith is HTC just isn't what it used to be. It's not just the poor quality of the Evo3D I'm talking about (the touchscreen issue seems to be fairly common) it's also the fact that HTC is making us Evo3D owners wait until at least summertime to get ICS update, which is just unacceptable for what was sold as a top of the line phone...
Moto RAZR
They'd give me the Droid RAZR for 50 bucks, and I'm pretty tempted, since it looks like a nice phone. A great SAMOLED+ QHD screen (Yes I know about the pentile), expandable up to 48gb, a pretty good camera, and super thin Kevlar surface all line up for a pretty sweet package. The only thing kinda holding me back, is that the SGX540 GPU in it is kinda old, battery life is supposed to be just average, and the camera, while good, isn't as good as in the Samsung GSII or iPhone 4S.
Galaxy Nexus
I miiight be able to get a Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy Note if I cough up 100-200$ but not sure if I should go for it. Yes, it has an awesome screen and ICS, but whatever Android phone I get will have ICS in the next 3 months or so. The downside is a kinda old CPU/GPU combo (OMAP4430 and SGX540), a 5 mp camera, average battery life and only 16gb storage.
iPhone
Depending on what I'm willing to spend, they'll let me have an iphone4 for free, or 4S if I put down some cash. Between 50 and 200$ all depending on the 16/32/64 gb model. Now I know the iPhone option is kinda controversial, and if you had asked me a year ago, I'd never get an iPhone. But lately, I've gotten kinda disillusioned with Android. Even on a high end model like the Evo3D or SGSII isn't as smooth as iOS, and lag, even if very slight, is almost always present if you go to a list, for example. Theres also the issue of hardware quality and service. The last six months I've spent a couple dozen hours either trying to get an Android phone fixed, fixing issues with it, or taking it to repairs hops and waiting days or weeks for it to be repaired. With Apple you don't have to deal with all of that. They DO give really, really great service. If you take a broken phone to the Apple store, they often just outright replace it, and that counts for something IMHO.
I've had an ipad2 for the past 5 months, and I've really gotten to appreciate how fast and smooth the experience is, and how everything just works. The other advantages would be iMessage/FaceTime, which is really cool, having my phone work great together with my iPad, and the whole Apple ecosystem. Cameras are also top of the line, from what I've seen, and battery life is really good.
I know of the downsides with getting an iPhone, the biggest one would be the 3.5 inch screen. No matter how awesome, bright and sharp it is, it will take some getting used to, to go from a 4.3 inch screen to a 3.5 inch screen.
Other phones, like a Samsung or HTC are also available for me to get, this is just my top3. I'd really appreciate your input, and let me know what phone you'd get next in my situation... Thanks!
Based on your phone listing's looks like you have the GSM version. I would go with either the GN or the Note if it is not to big for you.
The GSM GN has pretty good battery life from what I have seen. The CDMA is not as good which is that I own. Needs the extended battery on CDMA to get decent life. There are a lot of people with the GSM version who get an average of 5 hours on-screen time. To me that is some pretty good battery life.
The downside like you said is only 16gigs of storage on the GSM GN without an SD slot. I just do not get that at all! Why only 16 on a device that cannot be expanded! Luckily the CDMA version came with 32gigs.
I owned the CDMA EVO 3D back in the day, then went to the Epic 4G touch which blows the 3D away. The GN is more in a league with the SGS2 then the EVO 3D. The GN is super smooth.
I personally stay away from Moto's, especially if you like to flash things...
I have been really fortunate not to have any trouble with my evo 3d. I also had the og evo before the 3d.
My next phone will not be htc though. Im very disappointed about ics being pushed back.
Anyway, from your list of phones to choose from i would not hesitate on switching. To the galaxy nexus. Ive had a chance to play around with it a few times and really love it. Updates will always be faster to and of course it comes with the new chip for mobile purchasing. Really comes down to your personal preference and needs really. Your listed phones are all great products. I will never purchase an apple product, but i know a lot of people that love them. Good luck to you.

Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy S2 i9100. Those two phones are by far the best supported phones development wise on this site. It's only going to get bigger with the GS2 likely decreasing if the GS3 makes a big enough impact.
No HTC phone besides the Sensation compares development wise right now. A few legacy devices here and there, but for the specs, the two phones I mentioned above cannot be beat right now.

Lol I saw you post in a thread the other day that your next phone will either be an iPhone or a windows phone haha
Evo3D.
evo 3d seems very cheap now for a (once high end) mid range phone.
I've had nothing but good luck with my Evo 3d and love it, only thing i dont like is the flimsy backing plate. From reading your post i cant help but ask were you rooted? There are tons of great roms and app mods available in the forums here, all solve numerous issues and improve upon stock in any number of ways.
As far as choosing a phone goes, if you can get a new 3d free I'd stick it out and wait to see what's available withing the coming months, MWC just finished up and there were tons of greats devices announced.
Otherwise GSII gets my vote.
So the wife just bought a new Iphone 4s.
I have been an android user for some time now. I must say though. I am EXTREMELY impressed. Honestly the phone IMO seems much superior if you are not running custom ROMs, themes, etc. Hell, MOST roms dont even touch it as pretty much every rom never runs flawless and always crashes or has some sort of bug.
This is one android user who is really debating about getting the Iphone 5 when it is released.
Anyone else have any experience with the iphone VS EVo3D?
I think evo 3d not so good enough compare to 4s, i was seen in YouTube, evo 3d loose in almost test.. But evo 3d got a flawless victory against iphone 4.. Imho I have to say evo 3d is the fit to compete iphone 4 not for 4s..

This is one android user who is really debating about getting the Iphone 5 when it is released.
Anyone else have any experience with the iphone VS EVo3D?

compare Evo 3D versus Iphone 4. Iphone will lose. compare HTC One X versus Iphone 4s, same story? I just sold Iphone 4 after one week, it's just... Device annoyed me, a lot Small screen, camera sucked... Moved to Evo 3D, great camera, 3D big screen, fast cpu.
First of all,iPhone is flawless because it doesn't have any features. It's a shinny brick.Saying that the iPhone is better is like saying that a no-options '93 car is better than a 2012 full-option car.iPhone is flawless because it has too little features to break down. You can't even put a custom ringtone only if you put it through ****ty iTunes. Why do you think Android has taken over?(and now it has about 60% from Worlds phones).People started realising that you buy an iPhone only if you are a douchebag/hipster and want to impress others OR you haven't heard of Android/Windos Phone.
IN MY OPINION,F*** APPLE and their overpriced products
I love both android and iPhone. They both have their pros and cons. The reason I got an evo was because of the screen size. And once the iPhone 5 I will be debating if I should get the evo lte or iPhone.

It's not about hate, but about freedom and features. Iphone got small screen and camera, one or two unique features. Compare almost any Windows Phone or Android phone and you will get lot of features, bigger screen, better camera, lot of free apps. HTC frequently release source code for a kernel or even all base. Android is open source. Apple made MAC OS and parts of iOS from a FreeBSD. Did anyone here got any kernel source from apple?

I must say though. One feature iphone 4s has that is pretty sweet is Siri. Pretty amazing. As far as the screen size. That's one reason I would never get the 4s. However the iphone 5 is supposed to have at least a 4 inch screen.
With all that being said. For the aspect of just a smartphone, the iphone seems far superior in how smooth it is.
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2
4"? Still small... Ours is 4.3" and now norm is 4.7"
I had an iPhone 4 before. I hated you need iTunes to do anything on it.
I love having google synchronize everything for me (contacts, calendars et etc). I jumped ship before apple came up with icloud. So I don't know how its now. Does icloud store and synchronize all those?

Both phones are good. Haters gonna hate, but the iPhone has always been a top-quality product. I'm not saying it's better than the Evo, I'm just saying it isn't a BAD phone. I've tested both of them, and according to me, the EVO is a better option, because it performs better and runs on Android. iOS gets boring after the first five minutes of use, while Android (especially ICS) is a more interesting operating system. You have much more abilities. The iPhone may beat the EVO in some cases (like smoothness in the menus), but overall, the EVO is a winner here.

True. I just really love how smooth the phone is. Not to mention it doesn't have random crashes and reboots cause you are on a custom rom.

I think the Sting Ray is much better and never crashes.
I've said this before.... An unrooted Android device has more features and power than any IPHONE could ever have. lol. apple makes too many things standard.

That's a little offensive. My wife has a 4s and she is neither a douchebag or a Hipster. She's even heard of android and wp7, if you can imagine. What she wanted is a simple smartphone that handled her needs flawlessly. The iPhone does just that. Is it for me? No..I like the customization of android. But seriously, rethink your words. Just makes you sound like the douche.

EVO LTE...
I was surprised at how different the One X and my EVO LTE are...
My brother is an iPhone fanboy, but chose the One X to expose himself for a while to Android. I thought that would be a nice phone for exposure, at least. But, upon looking at his phone and trying to root it for him, I was really not turned on by the phone at all.
ATT Bloatware everywhere
It felt cheap, made of plastic
It was strangely light (a light phone to me just feels cheap... I like some weight)
The One X apparently doesn't support google wallet? I don't know if this is an ATT limitation or if the phone lacks the secure aspect of the NFC chip. But this surprised me.
Also, my brother has ~80gb of mp3s, which is not possible to hold with the One X. So I directed him to google play music manager, and he was turned off by having to play music through the clouds, as they say.
Particularly a hassle to root/unlock (I believe ATT is to blame?)
Oh, and I say my brother HAD a One X, because he has since said he is sticking to his iPhone.
I was surprised at how much I didn't care for the One X and at how large the gap between the One X and the EVO LTE is. The EVO is a finely crafted and well thought out phone. I don't know if the credit goes to Sprint for specifying what the EVO LTE must have, or if that was HTC's part, but it really is a higher quality phone. Be proud
What're your thoughts, if you have had the chance to play with both and compare the two?
:highfive:
Well to be fair, this is the third generation of the EVO. The og EVO was still the best first release device on any carrier in my opinion.
If att keeps the one x as a device to build on, I would think it will improve by its third generation. But I agree, the casing to me speaks volumes about quality and where the og stood on the shoulders of others.
I'm sure they have other qualities that are solid but the EVO is really the only HTC device I will ever be interested in. Can't wait until next spring to see if they bring a 4th gen edition.

I was able to talk my brother into the one x from a 3gs and he hasn't really complained much. I haven't had the oppurtunity to play with it myself though. He's used to 8gb so I think he'll be happy with 16.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
I think Sprint specified these differences between the two phones. While it may be a "3rd Generation EVO," it's still considered a One-series phone. Sprint wouldn't have had the One X without making it different from everyone else. Sprint knows that customers still need expandable storage. They knew the kickstand missing from the EVO 3D was a big let down, so they brought it back. And obviously, the battery... With unlimited data on their network, they need a bigger battery for those heavy users (not fat people). And obviously, the casing needed to be it's own look. Everything else on the inside is One-series, even down to the screen. I like the casing to the One X phone, but you're right, it does feel cheap compared to my EVO.
I'm happy that we got something that no one else could get with the One X, but maintained it's core details (processor, RAM, screen, GPU, etc.).
*Foot in mouth*
Replying to post that was edited. Ignore this.
SD card. We have it, the One X doesn't.
EVO LTE > One X
Sent from my HTC Evo LTE
The differences are mostly superficial aside from the sd card slot and kickstand that do add utility. The bloatware can always be removed after rooting. The fact that it's difficult is normal, just look how long s-off took on the evo lte.
Also keep in mind that the AT&T network reigns supreme compared to Sprint's. The only negative being no unlimited data. I started keeping track of how much I consume and it's general not more than 2-3 gigs a month. Most of the consumption came from cloud streaming services. Pandora and navigation on the other hand don't take up too much bandwidth. So I figure even with tethering and performing essential tasks, you don't need more than 5.
I do agree though it's nice to have unlimited, especially if you're on the road a lot and stream a lot of video (Netflix). However most of that is pretty much impossible to do with Sprint's abysmal 3G speeds. The only reason I stayed was because I'm betting on Sprint's LTE to be decently good. That and the cost aspect. You do get what you pay for though and if money weren't an issue AT&T would be the choice to go with.
If i were on AT&T I would get the unlocked GNex from the playstore instead of a OneX or iphone. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Sense fan, however the unlocked GNex doesn't have anyone getting in the way of OS updates (ahem, Sprint and EVO 3D). I'm happy with Sprint, I got WiFi at work and at home to hold me over until we get LTE in Los Angeles.

I agree..although I used to think aosp was ugly I find myself now a little envious of the gnex even knowing I have superior hardware..these jumps in firmware are very hard to distinguish with a heavy sense overlay..vanilla android has matured and I think the need for skins has diminished..although it seems OEMs are going in the opposite direction..why can't we have a device like the LTE running vanilla..it would be sick..and my next device certainly will be the nexus variety provided sprint doesn't wait 6 months after initial release to drop it..ie galaxy nexus
I think that the GNex is a great phone.
But I won't mind waiting for a good, plain Android to come later while I enjoy this awesome screen earlier.
Looking forward to a nice CM or AOKP, and meanwhile using the Nova launcher and laying out my apps and widgets.
I don't know about others, but I am not liking every Google decision, e.g., notification and ringtone volume locked together.
There's a lot about Sense that doesn't suck at all, the Clock app, Mail, the settings layout, and a few other things.
Imo.

Geez, I thought it was light-hearted comedy.
I've had Android since the HTC hero on sprint, moved to the Evo Shift, got the nexus S, and now the new evo.
This phone is incredible, but I'm just bored as hell. Does anyone else get really bored with their phone?
I'm thinking of selling this and buying an iPhone, only because it finally somewhat caught up to android and it's just different.
How much do you think I should sell this phone for? Also, if I did want an android after the iphone, the iPhone has amazing resale value and thats just attractive as well.

The Iphone 5 processor is better than the s4? Sure, on paper it looks nice but I personally won't make that call until I get to use them side by side. The s4 is such a good processor that even Samsung uses it in the us version of the galaxy 3. I'm not an apple fan, but in fairness, they make nice devices. To each their own.

Hey Joe, I been with Apple iPhone since the iPhone 3G-3GS. I got all into it and started to learn the process for jailbreaking. Let me just tell say, it was fun but like every customization. Not everything works! Due to the jailbreaking team catching up on the random iOS updates. Long story short.. When the iPhone 4 came out I was one of the few to get it the first day. It was a pretty good change at the time coming from the 3G. It took Apple two years to come out with the iPhone 5. I was waiting for the world wide conference to see if it will finally bring a change to the table. After seeing that it still looks like the iPhone 4 and will not surpass a big difference in performance like the iPhone 4S. I made the jump to Android over this past weekend. I knew I was because I had my doubts about Apple just trying to make more money. The reason I knew was making the change was because a few months back when the Samsung Galaxy S2 was at its peak I was a proud owner of one for about 3 months. While having a iPhone 4 and a Android device I quickly began to tell the difference in how advance Android phones were about. The screen size, the none laggyness, the performance was amazing compared to any iPhone. My girl now flows with the iPhone 4S. And to tell you the truth, yes its responsive but it still lacks in the department of performance. For me it lacks in two major factors! Free to customization and screen size. Plus the fact of having such a noob "user friendly" OS system is crap. For crying out loud, even my grandma is rocking an iPhone. It sucks that Apple is changing the way we communicate because of their well established campaign! (For the older crowd to get in the action too) lol... So yea my story simply is justifying that being a long term 4+ years user of a iPhone product. I'm here to say I'm done from their marketing scheme. Everybody has problems with Apps and their phones. But if you know how to run them correctly and are tech like you will not have a issue with any software or build. But what Apple is bringing to the table with these iPhones upgrades does not compare to what HTC EVO or any Android device done so far and will continue to do so. I suggest to see it for your self. But I am also saying, you will not be in for surprise. Except for two important updates they made to Two Apps. (youtube & facebook) Like I said, there is a reason why these two main apps on Android runs like shyt and on the iPhone they run great ever since like a month ago. (its all a scam, Apple are Gangsters with Suites On) Apple paid a big lump to Facebook & YouTube to recreate/renew their Application faster. For the purpose of being First in line. Mark Zuckerberg gave him self away by announcing on Facebook "how great the new update on the iPhone is recreated by his team" Trust me it should not take Android a million years to create "renew" these two Apps. But for some reason they are. Main reason should be: THEY ARE UNDER CONTRACT. That being said, I think the main two Apps you will enjoy more on the iPhone will be Facebook, & YouTube. Dam I wrote a lot..Or should I say, Ranting.
So in conclusion:
You have a look of a man who excepts what he sees, because he's excepting to wake up. Ironically this is not far from the truth. Let me tell you why you are here. You are here because you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire time with Android. That there is something wrong with the world of smart phones. You don't know what it is but its there like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has broughten you to me.
Do you know what I'm talking about?
(Joe answers): The iPhone....
(Me): Do you want to know what it is?
(Joe nods curiously)
The iPhone is everywhere, it is all around us. Even now in this very Thread! You can see it when you look out your window, or when you turn on your television, you can feel it when you go to work. When you go to Church! When you pay your taxes....It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to Blind you from the truth.
(Joe replys) What truth?
That you are a slave Joe. Like everyone else you were born into bondage, born into a prison that you cannot smell, taste or touch. A prison for your mind!
Unfortunatly no one can't be told what the iPhone is. You have to see it for your self. (places pills on table)
This is your last chance Joe. After this there is no turning back. You TAKE THE BLUE PILL THE STORY ENDS, YOU WAKE UP IN YOUR BED AND CONTINUE ON WITH YOUR HTC EVO. You take the RED pill, you stay in wonder land AND I show you HOW DEEP THE RABBIT HOLE GOES.
(moments passes, with spooky music playing in the background)
Remember, all I'm offering is the Truth. Nothing more.

I'm the same way. As I write this I have 2 original evo's, a Thunderbolt, a Fascinate, 2 MiFi's, a Nexus 7 and the new iPad sitting around me. I ported my number to Google Voice when they started offering it so I could switch carriers with easy. Bottom line...I'm a Tech junkie just like you. I need my next fix!!!!
U know, when apple was coming up they had that commercial during the superbowl where people were being brainwashed in q black and white theatre. Then "Apple Zeus" or who ever it was smashed thru the screen and made everything color. Revolt and Revolution was rampant of course.
It's funny how sides have changed. Apple is now the establishment trying to brainwash everyone. Android is the new Apple as far as ingenuity is concerned.
Matter of fact, android doesn't even need Apple. Phone manufacturer's compete well enough on android to spurn innovation.
i mean android did completely change initially before the g1 when the iphone came out, It was going to be a blackberry style phone.
Apple did a great job introducing something new in the world, but android constantly changes.
The first iphone looks like the 6th one.
the G1 looks nothing like the Gnex. Android changes so much and keeps getting better and more unique with time.
