is antutu benchmark reliable? because before, when i was using stock ICS .431 in my Xperia Active with locked bootloader, i always get a score of 3300++ but when i switched to IceCreamPureness, i only get arround 3000 to 3100. does this mean that stock without any tweaks is better than IceCreamPureness in locked bootloader?

Stock is better in stability than custom Roms... Actually it's a matter of taste that matters.
My overclocked walkman scored 5000+ in antutu but it still lags sometimes..

ICS is "heavier" than GB, any rom will perform better on gb than ics, and 2011 devices weren't really designed for ics...
Don't trust benchmarking too much. To know u'r rom good or bad, just play those heavy games. U will know.

tried to flash rom again, but to no avail, it still scores like that, maybe its my device
will just try to tweak stock rom patterned to yours if its okay
i see it's really faster at but with 3d rendering only having about 40-45 fps, it doesn't do good with 3d games. already tried it with temple run brave

benchmark score doesnt mean almost nothing
i get 3k on my live with walkman on stock based rom with stock kernel
and it doesnt lag
better yet its buttery smooth
EDIT:
forgot to say that score is without sd card (i dont have 500mb free ]
So I got Samsung stock Rom I don't remember exactly and when I ran quadrant benchmark I got score like 6k the most of the score was the I/o
But now I installed check sum hd v4 and syhan kernel now my cpu score is high but the I/o is low
You forgot the question? Which is?

quadrant scores are nothing, they are obsolete. as long as you have smooth ui and bug free you are good to use it
After I installed evo check sum hd v4 the ui is much faster and more smooth battery is more good
But I'm just wondering why after I installed the custom Rom the I/o is low

Yes?
They score my device I should care of it ??
The thing to remember about benchmarks is that while they "test" performance in various categories all they are really doing are arbitrary calculations testing how well your device performs running that specific benchmark software. Extrapolating these scores to real world performance is often quite useless and inaccurate. Don't place too much stock on benchmark scores and just feel for yourself if certain roms/kernels feel laggier or faster.

Add to the post above that Quadrant is useless .
Benchmarks vary from one run to another .
One of 9000 followed by one of 12200 is a non reliable benchmarking tool .

Hi, I want to know which JB do you recomend as the fastest, I´ve tried the epinter, jokersax, aokp, and miui. But still the Mrom scores higher with the antutu benchmark.
Currently I´m using Mrom and so far the battery life and the speed of the Atrix is awesome. Without having to overclock I get 5,340 of score, Is there a JB rom that can score to at least 5,000 with the antutu without having to overclock?
Why do benchmarks mean so much to you?
You already tried all the JB roms pretty much anyways, you most likely answered your own question.

Synthetic benchmarks are completely useless and meaningless in that they do not represent normal day-to-day usage patterns. Personal experience is by far the best benchmark there is.
EDIT: bah, too late, has been said already.

I got a kick out of the benchmark results that came out with iPhone 5 vs GS3. IPhone was higher slightly and isheeps were doing circle jerks because of it. I've never seen a cross platform benchmark test and I tried saying how benchmarks do not mean a thing. I got down voted hard.

Its funny too because in a few months there will probably be an android phone that's even twice as powerful as the gs3. The isheep thinking they will always have the best are sadly mistaken.

Till now all JB roms are experimental, so I prefer a stable one, rather than fast.
You won't find a "very fast" JB rom 'cause we dont have the drivers neither the kernel for managing everything as the GB roms
I tried several and at least with the day-by-day use, epinters was the best, no lag but some games didn't run as fast as the GB rom

Hey guys , thanks for clicking the thread. So thanks to you guys at XDA developers i managed to root my phone and unlock my boot loader on ics . So i downloaded this app called no frills CPU and i overclocked my phone to 1.8ghz .
The settings on no frill where:
max 1,8 min 1,8
governor: smartassv2 ( also tried on demandX and others ...)
I/O: noop
. I am on the stock ICS rom and i think i have doom lords kernel installed . So any ideas why the quadrant score is around 1400? . I've seen on YouTube etc people getting more than 2000 and some exceeding 4000. So just wondering why it is so low. DO i need to install custom roms to make it more faster? i did some searching about but i still dont get how people get such high scores. since i have overclocked my phone seems a bit more responsive but i have not seen a mega boost in speed any help?
for start change that minimal clock freq.! Do you have any idea what you are playing with?
if max is at 1.8GHz, why min should be also at 1.8GHz?? logic?
go max to 1.4GHz, above that there is no point on the long run..
1.8Ghz ...ur diggin ur own grave..1.4Ghz is more than enuf with a proper rom...nd bechmarks are silly..:silly:

Mate,a suggestion :
First of all ask such questions in General chat thread
Next,1.8 for normal use is like Frying your phone
Reduce to 1.4 for normal use,
And lastly, people who've replied are experienced guys and know what they are doin and when they suggest,I wouldn't like to go against and be a dumbass
There's a reason why people tell you not to Oc your phone of normal 1gHz to 1.8gHz !
Think it yourself n read more!
You'll figure it out sooner than later
