I think it's caused by a ROM, try different one.

HTC Explorer, it freezes and need to reinsert the battery to restart
I tried different roms but the phone will freez at any point and there is no solution but to reinsert the battery and switch on the phone.
Is it because I used many roms that my phone has the problem?
what could be soluton to it?

Just make sure your firmware is compatible with your mini pro and it should work.

Now then guys... i am thinking about rooting my phone to put jelly bean on my samsung galaxy s2 .... i was just wondering views on which is the best one to go for ( LINKS PLEASE ) and is it easy to do you know the usual questions you will have heard them before lol IM A NEWBIE !!!
Cheers People
Download Siyah 3.5.2.
http://www.gokhanmoral.com/gm/2012/07/29/siyahkernel-s2-v3-5/
Tar for Odin.
Then use this guide.
http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-s2-i9100-root-android-4-0-3-ics-xwlpd-88120/
Nevermind it says Cf-root. I flashed my Siyah kernel that way.
After that, flash any rom you want in recovery. Just do a Nandroid backup in recovery and backup apps with Titanium backup from Market!!!
Sent from my Galaxy S2 GT i9100
Don't restore apps after flashing newer ROM, cause your phone will bootloop.
Better create text file and write names of installed apps.
Im not sure why everyone is worried about backing up there apps ive flashed about a 100 roms and never had to back them up cause if u go to the play store under my apps there always there
Infact there are apps there id forgotten about just pick which ones u want and re install .some roms auto instal them for u .make sure you have a google acc obviously!

What type of data? Music and photos are saved to the external SD card for me, and as for game save data, I believe that is externally backed up as well.

Only if the application is on the external memory card then it's backed up there. Otherwise they'll loose the data if that's not the case.

If you restore from google play, you loose all your app settings and you will have to reconfigure each app.
Also, Google Play will not show apps installed offline (apk)
Restoring app data with third party app like titanium backup is safe if app is compatible with the target rom

CWM-and have you bothered reading a Rom thread as there's normally install instructions.
And when I get bored of a rom I just restore my nand backup of something previous.
Sent from my GT-I9100

in order to install a perticular custom rom , all u have to do is to follow the install instruction's of the same in there OP. and the same applies to all other roms also.
since installation instruction do vary from one custom rom to another
Jasper, you are better to read up on things so you are familiar with the processes of like rooting/kernels/roms/cwm/Odin/troubleshooting.
I understand reading 1000s of posts is tedious, but you could end up with a non working phone.

Try to change the kernel to the one ROM needs, else only reinstalling your ROM with full wipe should help. I had this problem many times

There is a thread floating around somewhere that explains how you can restore it if you didn't make a backup. But for the life of me I can't find it.
But it's definitely out there somewhere

I was told to flash to stock firmware but i am totally clueless to what stock firmware i should use as there are so many out there.
dude.. didn't u make a nandroid backup?
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium
nope, no backup was done.
I think its time for a paid repair
Use odin and restore to a 4.0.4 Firmware then reset flash counter and then update with kies to 4.1.1 and your imei should be back if it's not then return it to samsung/the place you bought it from and get a warrenty repair ( and what ever they just say u havent flashed it ever )
any idea to what 4.0.4 firmware i should flash it to.

Hello to you all. I have a bit strange problem wich i cant find solution,so if someone could please help me?
When i try to connect my phone to 2g only it just loose signal and starts rebooting endless. Then i need to pool out sim card and switch to wcdma only and than is ok! If i put wcdma pref /gms it is working but when loss of 3g signal,it reboots and goes back on 3g. So if im in loss of 3g my phone is usselles! It only happens when trying to connect to 2g! I tryed everything but it wont stuck on 2g. I searched forum over and over before posting, but could not find this particular problem! 3g or wcdma works fine! Please someone? Thank you.
Just one thing to add if i update to ics and set to 2g only then there is no continuos reboot, and no need to take out sim, then just reboots once and goes back to 3g automaticly newhereless that it was only 2g set. What is happening here?

Is your bootloader locked and are you on stock rom? If yes, bring it to a local service center or send it to service :good:
So you dont think it has any firmware or software issue? What could be wrong with the hardware? Any suggestions?

It could be a software issue, but not on stock rom/kernel, so if you are on stock, send it to service (if it's under warranty)
Pfff...it is not udner wrnt. And yes, stock rom and kernel. Thank you. If it's something with the motherboard what should i do? Throw it away?

Okay, if it's not under warranty, flash for example gb stock ftf with flashtool, if this won't work, unlock the bootloader (if you have no warranty like you said), flash a custom kernel and a custom rom
Just one more question and i wont bother you anny more! Which custom rom would you suggest to me,that is stable and also not battery eater because im on 3g all the time as you know and that is bad enough! Thank you for your answers and for taking time trying to help me!

I would use a MIUI rom -> great functions and fast, but on unlocked bootloader (if you want to unlock) you could use cyanogenmod (9 for example) :good:
So just to resume and not tu bother you any more. If i am runing 4.0.2.A.062 with unlocked bootloader and custom kernel and rom, i just download miui rom and flash it with flashtool? No need for custom kernel to download or it is included with miui rom download? Sorry for all these questions, but you were only bothering to answer me so i have to ask you

No, it's more complicated. For MIUI you needn't unlock your bootloader.
1. Root your device (how to is in the sticked rooting guide)
2. For an ics custom rom keep root to ics (how to upgrade to ics and keep rooted is in the rooting guide, too), for gb custom rom stay on gingerbread
3. You can just find a MIUI rom for locked bootloader and copy the zip to your sd card.
4. Install clockworkmod recovery (cwm) with an app like xparts (xperia parts) from playstore
5. Boot in cwm, go to backup/restore -> backup and it will backup everything (system, data, cache, only sd card won't be saved)
6. Wipe data/Factory reset
7. install zip from sd card -> choose zip -> miui.xxx.zip -> yes, install it
8. Reboot
Everything is explained in the sticked threads and in the guide how to install custom roms/kernels in my signature.
Just ask if you have questions, we like to help you, there are no silly questions (only if they are so easy to answer)
