Guide to Unlock/Root Micromax A_57 Ninja 3
I am not responsible for any damage to your device mine worked perfectly fine
All the files are in zip file attached (kit_extractme.zip)
I am assuming that u ha basic knowledge of ADB and sdk
Ok here's how i got my A 57 rooted
Please remember to enable usb debugging on your device
Steps:
1. Remove/Uninstall all previous drivers for micromax a 57.
2.Connect the Device let windows install drivers it can then it will not be able to install some drivers.
3. After that an autorun prompt would appear for installation of the usb driver run that then all d drivers woud be installed and you will see ADB Composite interface under Android Devices in the Device Manager.
(If the autorun prompt does not appear Download the device drivers from micromax site and right click micromax A 57 under other device and browse to that folder and install the drivers)
4. now Go to C:\Users\your_username\.android folder there extract and paste the attached file adb_usb.ini that i have attached with the post.
NOte the file contains the vendor id of the device i guess it is same for all a57 but to confirm right click ADB composite interface goto properties> details> select Hardware Id's and find ur vendor id there as in the image attached If it is different then replace that in the adb_usb file
5.now open cmd as administrator and cd to you adb folder (in android sdk it is in platform tools download only adb from internet)
6. now give command adb start-server
then adb devices
it should now list your device as Micromax-a56 (see image adb_1) ( I don't know y it says micromax a56)
now download unlockroot from its website or google its offline installer
Now open Unlock root install it and then start it
Now press the "Root" button
It will get online device and ask you to select now Micromax A57
Select the device then it will say the device is already rooted you still want to root ???
but you continue and click yes
It will then root your device
and here you are your ohone is now rooted
Install superuser and SuperSU from play store
Now do whateva you want..................................

Please hit thanks if it was helpful
Lets see whether this work or not...

Hello everyone,
I have a a micromax a56 ninja2 , and would like to root and work on the same , as i am currently a huge fan of android, but in vain, this phone is not visible in Adb devices, below are the things which i have already tried, also i have called micromax and got a ver silly answer to enable the debugging mode ( which i did at the intial stage itself)
Things i performed :
Enabled USB debugging mode , the phone is accessible for USB data transfer but whenever i type adb devices its blank.,
Adb kill - server and start server dint helped
Removed all the USB drivers using USBdbview.exe, and installed the drivers from the micromax site and also available on the XDA website ( A56 drivers), the drivers installed but the adb devices were still empty.
Backed up the android_winusb.inf and saved the file with Hardware ID's available in device manager ( PID and VID)
Still no luck,
Phone was restarted and enabled again the debugging mode. no luck
One of the website told to copy the adb_usb.ini on the users profile, did that still dint worked.
Any help would be really appreciated/
I am quite frustrate now , as i really wanna root my phone
Hey i am not an expert, but i'll tell u what i did,
When u connect ur phone to ur pc, it asks for driver installation, which are present within the phone, just install those drivers and ur phone will be shown in adb devices, then go to www, unlockroot, com, rest help u can figure out from there. U just have to download the free software, click unroot first then root again.

I too faced the same problem a while ago :crying:, but at last got its solution...
Do this only if you Have CWM(clockworks mod) installed on your device...
If not then goto - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987020
And find it there...
Firstly, Get a rooted custom/stock ROM and save it in your device's sd card,
Then goto ClockWorks Recovery ( First power off your device, then hold volume up and power key untill superfone logo displays to get into recovery menu), (scroll up and down for three times to enable the power button with vol. up and down key)open 'mounts and storage' menu
Then choose 'format/system' . After the completion Goto main menu and choose 'install zip from sd card' -> choose zip -> And install it.
And after completion, Reeboot. DONE, your got a rooted device...!
Respected Sir, as you know Videocon A15 is a cheapest price Indian mobile and the little RAM makes trouble for me. So I want to root my phone to use it in a better way, but I have tired by finding usb driver for videocon a15. But I can't find any usb driver. Try this things
Have you enabled USB - Debugging? (Menu > Setting > Application > Development > USB debugging > Turn it ON).
Probably afterwards you can install a driver.
For rooting use the Eroot application

Here is the app.
mediafire.com/download/62wi36ph36563oj/Eroot-v-1.3.5.zip

yes I have installed the v1.9.0 setup in device manager in laptop when I connect my tab with debugging enabled it shows in portable device my tab name, and other device mtp is shown with yellow exclamation.
mtp drivers for tab are not getting installed.
in cmd when I hit adb devices I don't get my tab details

yes its shows yellow error in mtp but I am able to transfer files from laptop and tablet only thing is I can't use cmd and adb but after going thru your link I come to know that my adb was too old which is of my HTC explorer so I downloaded adb (platform.zip) from the thread given in your post and then for mtp I manually selected driver installed in my laptop I.e adb interface >Samsung adb and then I tried cmd in new platform.zip which had updated adb files for jellybean+ version and now its working fine.
Dunno how you did that. I'm a newbie.
Could you plz help me out ?
I don't have any sort of "Adb" connection in device manager (which you can see in my image), which was supposed to be there.
Can you give me a detailed explanation of what you did ????

so you too also want adb to work for you right?
I can't say exactly what made it work for me cause I have s duos 2 also n so its drivers are also installed in my lappy.
but you do one thing
1.install Intel android driver from above post v1.9.0
2.enable debugging in tablet and connect and then goto device manager where you have mtp error, right click on mtp, update drivers select from folder will appear below that must be some option select from installed drivers goto that see Intel android driver after that you will be getting multiple option android adb interface, adb composite interface select any one preferably android adb interface and install.after that uncheck debugging and again check it and see if mtp error is gone from device manager.
3.download platform.zip from your given thread link unzip it and in that folder open cmd by holding shift and right click do open cmd here and check if all is OK by typing adb devices,if its OK it will list your device.
I'll give it a try, then i'll inform you. Till then, please stick to the post ! Thank you for the info BTW.

if still yellow error is shown on device manager right click on it update driver, then browse from folder or look for installed driver some where is must be there search something related to Intel or adb and select that else forget it cause what's the use of adb for us as there is no custom ROM or other things to do.
other way is download helium app on PC and tablet and in ptp mode you can get adb working
