Make sure auto rotation is checked in Settings. Some apps like the video rotating themselves are normal

Hey guys, i'm currently not able to install non-market apps. I've checked in system settings that this is allowed. The only problem is that the install button cannot be activated but the abort button.
Does anybody has an answer for that? (example attached)
Thanks!

Juicedefender
Hi, are you using Juicedefender or any other app managing screen brightness ?
If yes, disable this app and it will work, you can reactivate it after you apk install
I had this issue with JD and it made me mad :silly:

Screen Filter
I had the same problem with Screen Filter. But when I turn it off everything works fine. So no problem at all.

Thank you!! I have JB Galaxy S3 and was having the same problem!! Found your post and disabled LUX (which controls screen brightness) and was then able to install my non-market app. Doesn't make any sense why that would have anything to do with it, however thank you for the fix!!
Hi all !
I've been facing a problem since I updated my phone's firmware to ICS 4.0.3.

Try calibrating your sensors, they may have been corrupted during upgrade so phone doesn't know it's being rotated. All the best.

if you're still on stock rom and stock kernel so your currunt kernel can still do these two :
1)wipe cache(try this one only first time, if it presists ,then do both next time)
2)wipe data/factory reset ( take a back up of your contacts and messeges )
to get into kernel recovery mode = ( hold this combination while ur phone is turned off :volume up + home + power ,hold these till u see the S2 splash screen, as soon as u see it , release the button combination immediately )
in recovery mode u can move up and down using volume keys and select either with home or power button

Have you tried to disable motion? Even if the screen rotation is off on some android versions you still get screen turned, such as camera and videos.

I have been facing this problem in the Racing games like need for speed and others... When I start the game the car immediately goes left as if the left is pressed No matter what I do it sticks to it. I tried upgrading and flashing my phone but the problem stayed...
My phone is galaxy s ii i9100g ... anyone can help ... is it a hardware problem or what ???
Are they sensor based games? If yes then calibrate your sensors. Those games may have option to calibrate.

When I went to gyroscope calibration it told me to "place the device on a level surface and tap Calibrate" I did click it and there was a count down and after that I tried two games and still nothing changed

Here is the solution but it is time consuming:
1: Backup all of your apps with titanium backup(if rooted) because you are going to lose them.
2: Download ICS 4.0.3 stock rom(not 4.0.4 because of emmc bug)
3: Flash ics 4.0.3 with odin.
4: Let it boot. Now go to settings/display/horizontal calibration and calibrate it.Now your problem is solved.
5: Now if you want, update to jb by ota or download jb stock rom and flash via odin.
6: Restore your apps.
7: Enjoy
Auto rotation was bothering me alot so i tried above method and it worked.
