Lovely portrait home screen = ugly landscape homescreen - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I arranged my home screen to look really good in portrait mode which is how it usually is.
But when it goes into landscape, it looks horrible and is practically unusable. It just randomly squeezes things together.
Is there a way for me to have a unique, me-determined layout for the landscape rather than having it randomly render it?

How to "hacQ" the Nexus Q so portrait apps work on a landscape-only screen

Hi,
Several apps I have tried (maybe ~10% of them) only have portrait mode. This is a problem if you have a TV you can't rotate.
I wonder if anyone has any ideas of how to write, say, a background service that detects if it's displaying in portrait mode, and then shrinks the screen view and flips it 90degrees (so essentially you have a portrait screen that is now the correct way up, with black screen on either side). You can't tell it to display in true landscape because that's hard-coded into the app, so it is better to just rotate the portrait display. However this is a hard thing to do as the screen display is very low-level... but does anyone have any ideas of how to accomplish that?
I've done some searching, but of course Android has never really faced this problem before. Android has either been on a rotatable mobile device, or it's been on a GoogleTV where everything is landscape...
If so, that would open up more apps for Q-compatibility...

[Q] Landscape photos in portrait mode (vertical) on S3? Possible but never solve.

I can't find a reason about why this can't be possible. I want to know if there's a way to take landscape photos in portrait mode (holding the device vertical) on S3.
I was testing this program "Shot Control" it gives you some controllers in the screen, you have half of the screen to see the photo preview, considering the size of the S3 screen it was not a bad layout, but I'll love to have the same possibility holding the device in portrait (vertically) having the preview on top, controls down and taking pictures in landscape.
Is there a program to allow this?
I search over and I saw some solutions for iphone but pretty much nothing for us, here's a related topic:

Anyone?

Stretched landscape videos when viewing vertically

Viewing a video that was recorded in landscape while holding the phone vertically completely stretches the video to fit the screen instead of just displaying a small landscape video in the middle of the screen.
Any idea why it's doing this?
Its called stretch to fit. Tap bottom left corner and you can change the viewing mode.
I pretty much feel like a ass right now. Smh. Thanks

Rotation from portrait to landscape = instant. From landscape to portrait.........

Just a curiosity.. My phone is so eager to switch from portrait to landscape display mode, just setting it down wrong and it switches instantly. However, once it is in landscape, I have to practically shake the phone to get it to switch back to normal. The sensors are calibrated and it happened on my last phone and on my wife's LG G3 as well- anyone know of a way to make it want to stay 'mostly' in portrait but still flip to landscape when I actually want it to other than turning on/off the 'rotation'?

Dock in landscape mode

This may sound like a dumb question. But, how do I get the dock to display at the bottom of my landscape screen? Currently, the dock shows up on the right edge of my screen when my phone is in landscape orientation.
If I rotate my phone to portrait mode, the dock moves to the bottom of the screen. However, I hardly ever hold my phone in portrait orientation.
I'm using the latest Nova Prime Beta.
Same problem here.
I am very frustrated with this problem on my Galaxy Tab S4. The dock does not go in landscape mode as it did in my other tablets.
WTF, they think that no one is using landscape mode?
