Any LUMIA 800 developer ROM available out there?
pls help
What do you mean with developer Rom. You can get developer unlock or interop unlock which allows you to do much more. But as as far as I know you need the Qualcomm bootloader to unlock

depending on the method used to unlock you will have to root again...question is why do you want your bootloader unlocked?
I wanna flash custom roms and install kernels and always thought it was best to be fully rooted with an unlocked bootloader.

Great news! Just got an Amaze when it was on sale on Mobilicity. Looking forward to more ROM's being available.
Kernel source should cover all amaze devices on 4.0.
And I was just about to trade my amaze because of the lack of support HTC was giving us lol

Hey guys i know the source should apply for all amazes, but then why are there different sources for carriers on htc dev? Wouldnt it be easier to just release a universal carrier source code for a specific device?

It's an OEM thing since different device updates are released with slight modified system apps so they choose to release individual source for each, probably hoping we won't figure the obvious out, but we can run just about any carrier ROM can't we? Example, every other carrier device whether s-on or s-off running Energy rom which is T-Mobile based, which has a TMo kernel included.

Yea rooted / unlocked BL with S-On. I know I can't update my raido with S-On but wasn't sure if kernel needed S-Off or not.

he's playing you. he's kinda rude.
there's not a lot of development going on due to driver issues. i would say so at least. so it makes things much slower. most all roms are stable with a few bugs and all ics/jb are without drivers and a few of the devs are busy with their own lives at the moment. so it makes development a lot slower!
Oh.... that means we will never have a unlocked bootloader except motorola itself unlock it....

Haha only slightly! But I'm pleanty helpful when I can be Again, this is a question that pertains to the current bootloader delima, of which there is a wealth of information within 3 or 4 threads just on page one and two of general and QA..
2.3.4 bootloader was unlockable, because Motorola allowed us to download it and use it. It was not developed! And it's the only one unlockable bootloader, we have.

I am running a version of 2.35 that was not ota but shows a reservedODM value that is unlockable. Is there a way to use this to help unlock other devices?

you could try doing the fastboot work around? if it's anything like the electrify with the 2.3.5 shipped bootloader you can easily unlock. try it out.
http://www.motosunfire.com/2-3-5-bl/
Okay. Looks good. Is there a way to extract logs or other info that might help the devs find a workaround or method to unlock the BL on other devices? Should anything be installed to help with that?

I'm quite new to the RAZR development. I know that the bootloader is locked I thought it could be possible to unlock him if you compare the files of normal RAZR and developer RAZR or is the security level too high... I think there must be a way to unlock it
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
There is no way to unlock it that i'm aware of but you have the kexec kernel that bypasses the bootloader

AW: [Q] Bootloader unlock
Yes i know that there is at the moment no way... But my thought was to compare the dev and normal version to find a way to unlock the bootloader. I would do it myself but I only have the normal one and don't know anyone who owns a dev one.
Kexecs is very nice (I thank hashcode for it) but I'm used to the freedom I had with my old wildfire with unlocked bootloader

If you're going with a different carrier yes, if you have a T-Mobile HTC One and just want to flash one of the international roms and continue to use it on T-Mobile then no.
Thanks for the help appreciate it

Not to make a point out of you but people get SIM unlock and root and bootloader unlock way mixed up.
Kinda like when someone says hey I rooted my iPhone or jail broke my android
SIM unlock only means one thing using a diff carrier SIM card on another carriers device .
:what:
