Strange thing has happened. YouTube has always been on the last page of my app drawer. Makes sense really as its in alphabetical order.
This morning i noticed that it has disappeared and been replaced with an app called Flash Player. The Flash Player app is simply a link to a web page regarding settings for local storage or peer something or other.
YouTube is still installed on the phone. When I selected a video through the browser it gave me the option to play it through YouTube, which worked. But I can't understand why the icon has gone from the app drawer and been replaced with one for Flash Player. I can't delete the Flash Player app and can't figure out how to get YouTube back on to the app drawer screen.
HELP!!!!!!!!!

Hey there, so I rooted my sgs2 a couple of weeks ago since then I have not been able to log in to heavily encrypted Web pages. For example when I try to load the log in Page for commonwealth bank to use net banking it simply comes up with the annoying upside down android bot saying the Page cannot be loaded.
I have re flashed the stock rom and unrooted but still no resolve. I even called my bank to make sure there were no network issues on their end.
Other than that I have wiped both the system and dalvik cache before unrooting.
Anyone have any clue whatsoever that could solve my dilemma?

Download a different browser from the app store and try again?
I usually use dolphin HD, I tried using the stock browser, opera mini and Firefox, they all return the same result.

Have you tried chrome? But if I were you, I would run an anti virus software that you can get on the play store just in case, especially when you are going to be signing in to your bank account and it is saying any sort of error.

Tried that and it came up clear, but I have managed to find success!
After flashing CM9 and also a new modem kernel its all come back to normal.
Must of been the previous rom I was running causing the issue? Bit odd but mehh I'm happy

Every time I try and copy a URL in Chrome it freezes and FCes. I thought perhaps a rouge app was causing it and deleted some side loaded stuff yet it's still happening. Anyone else experience this?

Can you copy and paste in another app? If not, there's a thread on here on how to fix it. One guy posted up instructions on how to without factory resetting it.
Edit: And here it is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1706921
Yeah it works fine with the stock browser. Thanks for the link!

Actually, you were right. It wasn't working at all. Followed your link and it worked. Thanks again!

every time I click a YouTube link I am directed to the the website instead of the app. I have cleared permissions and defaults still it directs me to the YouTube.com. Any suggestions? Thanks.*

Hi All,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 International Edition. I installed JIMBO_MIUI_V-2.9.21_SGS3_INTL on my phone and all was good for a day or so. Then I noticed that I could not got into Play Store. it would open but just show Loading and the circle would keep spinning around. I downloaded several google store apks from 4shared.com and tried installing them but nothing worked. I would still get the same circle and loading sign...
I tried re installing the ROM. After re install I could not even sign into my gmail account. It would just show "Signing In, This can take a few minutes" and remain stuck on this screen...
I have tried to install several other custom ROMs but to no avail. I have tried full wipe, factory reset, re-rooting using cf etc..
The only time that I can sign in is if I flash a stock ROM using ODIN and then update Samsing Apps... If I try to flash any custom ROM after that I am back to the same problem...
PLEASE HELP!!!!
Try clearing data of the play store app then opening it again.. and gmail.. this has work in the past for me

Well, a few of the countries have recently blocked YouTube due to the recent controversial YouTube video backlash.
That has affected Gmail and play store on android devices also. Plus the YouTube app obviously. So nothing wrong with your device I'm guessing

I think that might be the reason. The other guy who was complaining of the same issue was from Pakistan and I believe youtube has been blocked in that country after that recent controversial video.
But still it doesn't make sense that this guy can access his account using stock rom.

All people living in pakistan have this issue and here is the only solution. Download "hotspot shield vpn" , install it and then start protection. It will solve all your google related issues, even you can access youtube
