Anyway to stop this madness?

Go to settings and specify music folder, or try clearing cache and letting music player rescan. Alternatively you can drop a no media file into movie directory and music will skip the folder

What I'm assuming you mean is that the game music and sound files are showing up in your scrollable list in the music player, and not that the game dev was stupid enough to actually force the music files to be installed in the same physical folder your music is.
If that's the case there's a relatively easy fix. Create a blank file called .nomedia and place that file into the folder where the games music is located. You'll just have to mount and search the SD card storage to find where this is.
Once you do this the media scanner will skip that folder when figuring out what video/audio media to index on your phone.
Can I do the same to a cut scene in my videos folder?

Yeah, that worked perfectly.

Music Player doesn't have all the songs

I have comm rom on my fascinate and tons of songs on my sd card, but when i use the music player it doesn't have all the songs in the library. why is that? is there anyway to fix it? or make it work?
Double check the formats of your music to make sure its .mp3 or similar. Good place to start.

the formats are all .mp3
I can confirm this problem. The songs are there but the music player doesn't show them. A tiny bug...

use root exploret or similar and go into your sd card and delete the android folder and reboot. This fixed it for me. I've also had a problem where sometimes it would show the same song multiple times and it would fix that too.

Can we play the downloaded Google music playlist via HTC music ?

I see the downloaded playlist mp3's inter Android data folder, but they are all named in a numerical format? I can choose the HTC music player when I select one from the list, but it won't populate the HTC player with the info.
Any body have any ideas that would work?
Setting HTC music player as default will not work for me.

You would have to move the files to /sdcard/music or /sdcard2/music

Nope won't do it

I manually dumped a playlist on my computer just to test/play with Beats when I got the phone. It worked perfectly fine, but I did it on the PC side.

I created a music folder on the SD card then drag/dropped my music from the desktop to that folder. Works fine with no issues. I would think that playlists would be similar but I may be wrong. Where did your Google music come from, iTunes or stored?
Stored .
I just thought it would be an easy way to avoid having to store the music twice and still be able to get beats tuning.

Need help with music app

I have a bunch of music on my phone and one album in particular doesn't show up in my music app. I can see it on the phone when I look in the file manager and I can even play the songs from the file manager but I can't get it to show up in the music app. I am running all stock. Does anyone know how I can get the album into the music app? It's one of my all time favorite albums.
