I was wondering if there is a way to adjust the bluetooth sensitivity on the rezound. The problem I am having is that callers claim they hear everything, I am crystal clear but they can hear all my movements and the big problem is that if I am using while a game is on, music, etc, even when I lower than my normal usage volume they say my tv is way too loud. I have looked through all the settings and unless I am blind I have not found a native option, is there maybe an app? I know the issue isn't the phone, it is the bluetooth because I had the same issue using it on my ps3 but the ps3 has sensitivity options in the mic settings so it was an easy fix.
Thanks for any help

Morning all,
Love this phone, love love love. What I'm worried about though is the in call volume on headphones. Doesn't matter whether I'm using the supplied Samsung ones or a set of Sony ones the volume is so low that the person at the other end is in audible.
I have no problems with volume on anything else (as in music player on in call volume using the actual phone)
Anyone else experiencing this or am I just very unlucky.
I've noticed this too. When having earphones plugged in the call volume is just too low. Last night I had to plug mine out and xall again because I couldn't hear her properly. Good point
Swyped from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
this is absolutely the worst news possible, because i make 99% of all my calls with my headset. you guys are saying it is not usable? most of my calls are on the freeway with loud raod noise.
Post on here somewhere secret codes for volume ++

Not sure about volume with the earpieces with mic that came with the sgs2 but my sony earphones volume was quite low during call. I get calls when I'm listening to music a lot.

this app seems to have fixed it for me give it a try it ups the headset volume over default levels.. works fine for my sgs ii
i think you may need to be rooted to use it but not sure
Does it have HAC mode? Setings > Call settings > HAC mode. I set that on my SGS to increase call volume.
+1 on the issue, will try the apk tmo

Same issue and trying the apk now
tried it on my sgs2, and no change to call volume over headphones...

I would like to know about the "HAC" mode to, I wear hearing aids in both ears and it's important to me.

I wonder if this is connectd to another very frustrating problem I've just discovered. When I go out running, I normally have Spotify playing in the background and CardioTrainer occasionally prompting me with updates on how badly I'm doing. Worked fine on my old Galaxy S, now I can't hear the updates over the music because they are so quiet. I've tried fiddling with all the settings, and have also tried Endomondo and SportsTracker and they all seem to have the same problem. Anyone else tried this?
Fixed in latest update

Hey champ, you said this was fixed in the latest update but I just got my galaxy last week from Vodafone Australia and mine has this issue. What update fixed yours and does anyone else know about any fixes?
Fixed? In which update?
Hey,
I have this problem on my (sim-less) SGS2, and no update is available.
Any version number?
i'm having the same problem too. i currently use the stock headset, and am thinking of getting a BT headset as i get calls while driving. tried the app, did not help.
can someone one please help? it will be even better if voodoo sound is developed for i9100. *fingers crossed*
yep. same problem here!
Noticed it as well - on headphones Senn PX 100 II - very annoying (have to plug out the phones each time)
Also noticed the volume problem. The overall voice call quality is not great either. Can someone confirm if the apk. fix helped and if it needs the root access?
Hi,
The microphone settings are way to sensitive for audio/ video recordings. Is it possible to control microphone input settings (limiter)? I've seen that this topic was addressed somewhere before but no solution was given.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

same problem,someone?
I also have this problem, I was wondering if it was in the service menu somewhere as you can boost the mic level for calls or video calling or boost the speaker volume. I didn't try turn down the volume and record on it though. Its *#*#197328640#*#* to access..
I rung Samsung in my country, the guy the other end was a complete tosser. I have been trying to record guitar/drums to post online for utube or whatever.. But understandably the drums clipped the mic hard, as they are so darn loud. But even at a low level for guitar it was raping the mic, clipping hard.
The guy said its a cell phone, not a professional recording device and I am expecting too much. I then replied well an iPhone wont clip and its a cell phone.. My wifes ipod touch didnt clip at the same concert I was at using my xperia x10 a few months back. He ended up trying to tell me that iPhones suck and are locked down, which is true. Then how we can do anything we want to the phones, customising them to suit. But then he told me NOT to go in the service menu and that it would void my warrenty, seriously what a idiot.
bumpidy bump
BUMP, any ideas?! PLEASE!
Anyone know how to fix it?
Please anyone? This phone is perfect, apart from its bad microphone properties.. Wicked screen, SD storage, hd video, fast internet, n wireless, voice recogntion, swype texting, music player, video EDITING... But the mic clips at medium - loud volumes..
Thanks in advance
bump... and here i am using a samsung g6 and having the same problem.. customers complain that they here everything in the background because the mic is sooo sensitive.. anyway to turn down sensetivity in android?? thannks,,
I just traded up to the rez from my dinc that I held onto all this time. So far I am loving the rez but have run into a few issues.
I use an app called voxer all the time on the dinc. On the rez I am getting complaints that my voice is muffled and playing back audio I can tell it is severely muffled. From my troubleshooting I am thinking that the app is using the noise cancelling mic for main recordings instead of the main mic because when the in call volume is reduced, the recorded mic volume is reduced as well.
If this isn't the issue then I might just have a bad mic but using other apps such as skype, in calls, and google voice all work normally and sound recordings are normal volume.
Anyone use voxer? or willing to try it out and see if they get the same problem I mentioned?
Yes there would appear to be a problem with the app. Using the mic and even a BT headset doesn't seem to work properly. I'm not convinced that it is using the BT mic when I tried it though.
I posted a support issue on their site.
I have not used this app in the past.
also make sure that you have disabled the privacy mode under calls. Its on by default. Helps with muffled voice.
i use voxer too, and i just talk right into the bottom of the phone, and it works fine..

what does voice privacy do, btw?
I tried the voice privacy setting disabled...no difference.
Voxer works, just not loud enough to be usable.
Jay, is your voice volume the same as it would be for skype, google voice, voice recordings? etc?
I think it is.. it sounds it.. i literally talk right into the bottom of the phone tho...
anyone else noticed it always turns the ir sensor on???

What ir sensor?
above the verizon v, under the ear piece.. make a call.. look closely there's a red light on.. that ir sensor determines when to shut off the a teen when your face is near it. It activates with voxer.

Oh you mean the proximity sensor (happens to be done with IR).
That is turned on by the API for any app that is used for calling where you could put your face up to the screen. The proximity sensor senses that you face is there and blanks the screen to prevent your face from activating buttons.
When you end the call, the sensor turns off. Voxer appears to have it on all the time which is kind of strange as i suspect most don't use it close to their face and you have to push the button to talk which is not likely to be close to your face either.
Most likely a bug, and I suspect it does use more power to have it turned on.
One thing I don't like about Voxer and Skype and some of the others is that I many times simply want them off. They don't seem to provide a way of doing that (that I've seen). I rarely use Skype as a result, I freeze it and unfreeze it in the rare cases I actually need to use it.
yep, you're very right. now, with voxer, i literally have to put my mouth next to the bottom mic to be nice and loud...so if that's the bug you're all talkin about,t hen yeah i've got it too.
and heytell has the proximity sensor bug as well..it always stays on.
With the upgrade to ICS I am no longer able to make the button on my wired headset pause/unpause music. I've tried freezing the Voice Commands app using Titanium, I've tried using the Jays Headset Control app, I've tried other music playing apps like Rocketplayer. I can always make the button pause music successfully while the screen is on, but if the screen is off it simply doesn't work. My primary music player is the standard "Play Music" app that comes with ICS.
Are others having this problem? Have you found a way around it?
I am having the same issue too, once the screen locks I cant pause, rewind, or fast foward
I'm having the exact same issue using DoggCatcher. I have a brand new set of phillips headphones for android that worked great before the update. If anyone can figure this out, it would be great.
Try Poweramp, it has a setting that gives Poweramp a higher priority for this case (Haven't tested it with ICS yet, but on GB this worked).
Other than that, it's a nice and beautiful music player btw.
Thanks for the poweramp suggestion. I gave it a try this morning but it behaves exactly the same as the other music apps. Headset controls work fine when the screen is on but don't work at all when the screen is off. I suppose it's good to hear that others are having problems too, which means it's not a problem with just my phone. I'd love to hear a solution!

Same problem here after upgrading to ICS. Headset controls work perfectly with the screen on but don't work at all with the screen off. I have tried using JAYS Headset Control, Headset Button Controller, Headset Droid, and the built-in headset control functions of Winamp and Poweramp all to no avail. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the lock screen music controls disappear after installing headset control apps due to some sort of conflict between the app and the Android system.
Anyone find a solution to this? Your ugly red head step child the Droid Bionic seems to have the same problem. So I was hoping there'd be some app or setting to flick to make the controls work when the screen is off.
Also eager to find the best solution on Android, it is pretty easy on iOS!!!
As a music fan, this feature means a lot for us. But seems Android doesn't like music as iOS.
For me, I have upgraded to JB 4.1 and my current solution is create a smart action like launch Google Play Music when plug in headset. The control works for pause and play when screen is off. Actually it also works for skipping by double clicking very quickly, but it seems a little bit hard to achieve, or you can say it doesn't work. But it DOES work sometimes. Good luck!

ive been using poweramp, and this may just be my choice in headphones, but ive never gotten those buttons to work on CM10...again this may just be me, but ive never gotten headphone buttons to work on my RAZR
Install Headset button controller, tap on the Advanced label, scroll until you find the 'Advanced settins' entry (it's the last on the list), check 'Prevent sleep mode' option. It works fine, but it's a shame we have to pay for an app in order to fix a os's bug.
For me the problem was MotoCast. After I disabled in the settings everything worked great.
I've had the Note (AT&T) since not too long after it hit the market with AT&T. The Gingerbread release worked quite well, but I had heard "great things" about ICS. The day that ICS became available, I loaded it and was ready to be seriously impressed.
Instead, I'm quite let down. The additional "bloat" put into ICS to provide some changes to TOUCHWIZ are simply not worth it to me. What's worse the Bluetooth stuff has been changed enough, and in certain ways, to make it problematic for me now.
I have a vehicle with an integrated Bluetooth system. My phone is always paired when I'm in it, and I never make use of the audio profile for playing music through the stereo (but it's connected anyway). Under 2.3 / Gingerbread, everything worked fine. With the 4.0.4 / ICS software, audible notifications while paired to the system sound "choppy" (can't think of another way to describe it). The sounds stutters when the phone is attempting to notify me of, say, an incoming email message.
When the phone is not paired to anything, the notifications are fine.
I had an opportunity today to pair the handset to a completely different device and find that the issue follows it. It is absolutely not a hardware problem because it worked fine with GB. The issue is also not my vehicle because, again, it worked fine when the phone was running GB.
What I learned today, with the new BT device, is that the phone is actually attempting to provide the audible alert through BOTH the phone's speaker AND the audio profile / BT. On the device I had paired today, the sound through the speaker is the same sort of choppy notification it has been, but the sound through BT seems smooth.
There are no settings in the BT area to tell the phone to not use Bluetooth for audio. Does anyone know about this issue? More importantly, does anyone have a fix?
I too have that issue. Maybe a développé une ould look into this.

I use both the audio and phone BT profiles on my car stereo. It took me a very long time to enable audio. I have no clue what worked. I do know that you can see what is enabled by tapping the gear icon next to the paired item in the paired item list.

The problem isn't in getting both working... The issue is HOW the phone works when both are enabled. There's almost certainly a bug in the ICS code that needs to be corrected.

My mistake. I shouldn't have mentioned my troubles. They masked the fact that I mentioned how to disable individual profiles by tapping the gear. You can uncheck audio there.

Yep. That works to correct the problematic issue of "it sounds funny when both are enabled", but it emphasizes the fact that there's an issue with the way that Samsung's ICS for the AT&T Note treats the Media audio profile whether it's active or not...
