Dunno if this is the right forum
So Ive had the game for a month or two, pretty damn awesome for a Gingerbread game. But the past week Ive been getting the "An error has occurred" message when I try to play it. The folder and data are still in the Android>Obb folder.
Anyone know what could be causing this error? The game is up to date and everything.
Bumpin it
Does no one have any idea what's causing this error?? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, taking the data out and putting it back and using the original data

Randomly my Android Market started acting up with regards to downloading apps. I can browse through and search apps just fine but when I click Install to start downloading an app it just hangs on 'Starting download...' on and off wifi.
I researched the problem and found remedies of starting gtalk and clearing the download manager cache, all of which were ineffective (obviously otherwise I wouldn't be posting this!). The only thing that was temporarily effective was re-flashing the stock firmware with odin. Initially I could download apps after flashing with odin but after letting the phone sit for a few minutes I could no longer download apps :-(.
On a perhaps related note I do recieve random notifications about unsuccessful downloads while I'm not even using my phone of applications that I've never even attempted to download..
Yeah I get the same issues with mine on the stock rom.i find that if I reset my wifi connection it starts to work again. Just a thought.

Ineffective for me :-(.
Anybody ?
Playing around with it a lil more if I toggle the wifi then restart the download it generally starts workimg again. Just out of curiosity are you in a poor reception area when this happens?

Had this issue on my G1 with CM6. Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications. Scroll to market, click, clear cache. Let me know if this works as well.

Tried this as well as clearing the cache for download manager, no difference.

Nope, I either have great EDGE or HSDPA service.
Before anyone asks, all other web based apps that I can use at this point (browser mostly) work just fine.
My best guess is that it is just buggy atm, it would seem that it has a hard time deciding which method to use to download. For me at least choosing between wifi and edge/3g.

You can uninstall the market from your manage apps/applications without any harm. Won't remove the app, but will clear all the market data stored on your phone. You just accept the tos again when you open the market and you're going. Hope this helps

Two days ago, I got this notification, "Import Books. Please wait for a moment...." and it is still there till now. I thought it was about importing the books that I recently purchased through Nook, and I deleted all my Nook books, uninstalled the app. And after that, when I stopped the Reader service, the notification disappeared. However, once I restart my Flyer, the "Import books. Please wait for a moment...." comes and stays there forever. Any clue what's going on? Thanks.
I've got it to.

Try deleting cache and data?

Are you guys using fastboot? Like the device boots up in 3 seconds?
If you are, Hold Power button and select reboot. It will clear caches, fixed my problems.
Even if you do a full restart, the notification keeps coming back. Rubbish. You can't even uninstall the app, as it's part of the HTC suite of pre-installed apps.
Anyone got any idea how to make it go away?
Check your library. Are you getting multiple copies of the books? It happened to me two days ago, but it stopped and loaded multiple copies of my books. Try going to the folder your books are installed in and deleting them right from there. See if that makes a difference.
Has anyone found a solution fo this problem yet? I have this issue, too...
hi all...had same problem...to fix it..well worked for me..i deleted just the cache and did a force close on app reader...and did a normal restart...to do this if you dont know..goto setting...applications....manager applications..pick all...find the Reader App....in the setting for Reader click clear Cache and then force close.....icon should be gone..then restart Flyer if you want...
Just clear the cache as everyone else has already said. Just cosigning. Oh yeah u might have to clear data as well if that doesn't work out but it should work after you clear the cache.
just wondering if anyone else has had this issue before??? just started yesterday and tried restarting my phone a few times already to try and fix it but still nothing... anything I try to download stays in "downloading" stage... then a lil orange triangle shows up in my status bar up top... lost and aggravated... any thoughts or fixes is greatly appreciated... oh ya, I'm rooted also if that makes a difference...

Yea this just started happening to me too, and certain apps aren't showing up in on the market for me either like "LED's Hack" which is my main reason for rooting. This is frustrating.

something like happened on my phone too, try clear data on settings/applications/manage apps/ find market app and clear its data
i've cleared data and cleared cache and all that, but all that does is stop the current process... if i try and download something again it comes back... almost like there's no connection between my phone and the market... its really weird...
cuz what im tryin to download is titanium backup... i've downloaded it before but that was before i reset my phone a while back...
I haven't been able to log into Openfeint on three games... One gives me an error message, with an option to wait for it to reload and start. This offer course caused my phone to reboot... Anyone have any suggestions or workarounds?

I fixed it. I deleted the Openfeint folder and pasted my old folder from my DInc.

I'm having same problem only I don't have an old folder to paste. Anyone else have this issue with a fix?
Try deleting the folder after saving it somewhere. Then log in when you start a game with Openfeint connectivity.

Have you had any issues with using Openfeint? I really don't know what it is but I downloaded a free app of the day from Amazon and it's a game that uses it and since then (I think that's when this started) my status bar keeps force closing. Half the time it restarts itself, half the time I end up rebooting to get it back.
I uninstalled that game but it's still happening.

Did you try deleting the Openfeint folder?

Yeah, I moved it into a folder I made on the ext card just in case I needed it. We'll see if that fixes things.
I flashed from stock to bionix v4, followed all the steps with no issues. Everything worked great. I had to do the these two fix steps a few times recently. wifi fix http://androidforums.com/droid-supp...ifi-error-message-wifi-will-not-turn-all.html and large file download fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30669800&postcount=1127. This is when I noticed my issue. However, i can still makes calls. It is when I hang up that I get the error but I can still get back into it, just after force closing. please help.
I'm trying to figure out options before wiping and reflashing.
You can try to go to manage apps and clear data from phone app. Then reboot.

I cant even see it in the list. wtf. The only thing I can think of that's close is "phone" version 1.0 but there's no data for me to press clear.
I also see dialer and dialer storage actually have data to clear.
When you go to manage apps, all, there isn't phone?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda premium
shall iuticil
There is "phone" but there's no data to clear. size is = 0kb.
Guess its wiping time, try just cache, dalvik cache and fix permissions. If you still have issue a full wipe might be in order.

Do I need to back up anything before wiping those two cache?

No, only need to back up if you do a data wipe/reset.

Well, I did a full wipe and reflashed. Phone is working now but something I didn't notice before. I cannot get contacts pictures to sync with facebook and when I try, it says I need to log-on to social media and redirects me to allow me to choose between facebook, twitter, etc to sync. When I click on facebook, it force closes just like with the phone app. What's going on?
Did you use an app to backup apps and app data(titanium backup etc)?
Go to manage apps>all> Facebook and clear data. See if that fixes your issue.
I apologize for not being able to give more exact issues. I haven't used that ROM and its been a long time since I used froyo all together.
I approve this message.
