I have an HD2 with ROM version 1.66.707.1 (76641) WWE, downloaded from the HTC website. This particular ROM version includes a keyboard with chinese input, and naturally the device has no problem displaying chinese characters throughout all apps.
Now I'd like to try out some custom roms, like i did on my previous HD, but I wouldn't like to lose this native chinese support feature (on my HD i had to install fonts, a SIP, and so on...), as I currently live in China. So, my question:
Is there a way to add this native chinese input and display support to custom roms, or, alternatively, are there custom roms already with native chinese support?

I use a cab install by Tom Cordon which adds font support and also the A4 Chinese / English keyboard. search for it or pm me with ur email addy if you need me to send it.

On the HD I have tried (with success) that aproach: I have installed the A4 SIP, ported from the HTC Rhodium, and also installed a chinese font (simsum or sunglobe) and made some registry tweaks, so chinese characters would display when necessary.
But I enjoy having on my HD2 this native support, which works flawlessly, and I kinda prefer this SIP to the A4. Here are some screenshots.

Are there any English-Asia custom roms available? Or any way to add this feature to any rom?

Thanks for the reply Waichai.
After many hours of search, i came to the conclusion there what I want is not available: a CAB install of ezinput CHS. If i want it, i will only find it on the stock rom, or already cooked into a custom rom.
So there's no alternative besides installing the fonts and a SIP, just like I did on my HD. But I hope one day someone can make the Ezinput CHS into a CAB, that would be just what I (and many other people, I have found out) want.

Hi everyone!
I have a little "problem" with my phone (Android 2.3.3).
It seems that the Norwegian language isn't fully translated. Even the language title itself says "Norwegian" and not "Norsk".
This that aren't translated are: date and time, notifications, some settings,...
The other languages I understand, like Swedish/Danish and Dutch are fully translated.
So, my question is: is this normal? And can I do something about it?

i think you have just gotten a ROM that has Norsk not translated properly so just to experiment install another ROM and maybe it will be fully translated.......so to answer your question yes that is normal some ROMs dont have a full language translate so dont worry. Because in my Ace with Cyanogen mod 7.1 and Ice Scream Sunday 1.2 it says "Norsk bokmal".
This language pack is for MIUI 2.2.17 and MIUI 2.3.2,it includes many languages,i have flashed and it works perfect for me.Also when you flash this zip,the leds act like CM7 notification leds.

Hey sinan, does it include Arabic support right to left and connected characters? The CM 7.2 supported full Arabic by default, by now that I flashed the miui I was surprised that Arabic isn't supported as it shows like separated left to right characters...thanx in advance

I wondered if I will find answers for my question,
I had MIUI 2.9.21_4.0 for HTC Desire HD, OK the ROM support Arabic very well, and I install Parfield keyboard for Arabic input and it's OK.
but there is any way to add Arabic keyboard for the stock IME, i.e. when I go through Settings -> Languages & Keyboards -> Touch Input -> International Keyboards, nothing except English, there is any way to extract some files from HTC One X or HTC XL Arabic Stock Roms and add to MIUI ROM?

I needed to reinstall swype on my phone. After I did it, I discovered that language pack can't be downloaded (same as themes or registration)...
So I'm looking for some language pack (and how to use it) or just installation file with polish language included,.of swype+dragon.
I know, swype is dead for over 1,5 year, and there are many other keyboards, but I tried every of them, and still swype is best for me (copy, paste, search, etc. shortcuts !)
My phone: htc u12+ with android 9.0
