i have a strange problem. i have used all previous versions of dragon jb till 1.8.
In last 3 roms ( dragon. JB 1.6, 1.7& 1.8) whenever i connect the charger red LED light is on showing carging but when i disconnect it the light remains on as red light for long time.
When there is full charging the light turns green during connecting to charger but after disconnecting, it remain on as green light. when i use mobile this LED turns off but afer locking again LED red or green depending upon the charging status agains turns on.
i considered it as hardware problem initially but when i changed rom. (flashed Turkbey rom V7) for testing it, the problem resolved.
now when i remove charger the LED notification light turns off immediately which was not with dragon rom. its strage thing for me. if it would be a hardware problem then after changing the rom , it should persist
Is this a rom problem?
Does anyone else had this problem?
please suggest me a solution if you can

why don't you go back to stock Rom and check
My advice is to ask in the thread of the Rom you downloaded. Maybe someone in there can help

i have asked in the rom thread but no one else has this issue.
the point which i want to ask is that either it is a software problem or hardware problem? most of people say it is hardware problem but then why this is solved while changing rom? if it is a software problem then is there any solution for it or not?

U should try LED notification cust. software like lightflow. Try that and check if it solves ur problem.

Currently Using Armin Rom, but i have used at least 4 previous roms and I am getting the same problem

-Battery drains right in front of my eyes
-Phone crashes at certain applications such as after a call / during a call, and when watching YouTube
-When you press the power to reboot you get a blinking red light notification
-update" was using google sky map and phone just died tried rebooting got red light again. charge level was low -_- the battery stats says that it is good health ?
Anyone else have similar problems ?
Saw same thing happen from old dying battery, new battery fixed it.

Flash stock 2.3.3 ROM, to determine is the problem related with the hardware (battery) or it is unsuccessful ROM settings.

1) Yeh checked up on ebay theres some battery under $20 CAD
2)I flashed to stock rom / unlock / custom rom
same issue happens before. Today I was on a call and the phone died. Try rebooting the phone and kept on getting red notification light -_- after 2 mins I was back

Hi, I'm running neutrino rom and I'm trying to find a way for the notification LED to blink even if the screen is on. How can I accomplish this? I've tried lightflow but the LED still only blinks when the screen is off.
I would like this function, since if I have my phone in the dock and the screen has gone to screensaver mode I can't look in the satusbar to see if I have a notification. And since the LED only blinks if the screen is off I have to touch the screen to check and I find that silly to have to do. Sometimes I forget and then hours later I find out a have had missed calls and texts.

I believe our phone is one of those that doesn't blink led with screen on. I know lightflow warns of this as does my handcent. Don't think its possible unless someone else proves me wrong.
that's strange. if I mess with the LED notifaction settings under Cyanogenmod setting I can test the LED notification while the screen is on. Somehow it must be possible.

Is that cm7 or 9? I noticed in 7 the settings just aren't there (for me anyway) to use led for anything other than system default. With 9 I noticed led functions totally different like the charging led working (love that!) So maybe its rom dependent.
I'm running Neutrino CM7. the LED notifcationsettigns are definetly there. maybe it is rom dependant. Does the LED work for you if the screen in on running CM9?

I honestly haven't had a chance to test that with cm9. I load the rom and test the things that I use most in order, wifi, camera. I don't get passed the camera issue on most. That's a bug I can't live with since I take tons of pics. I will try to remember to test it out next time I flash. Im on rc1 of 7 now getting ready to update to rc2, maybe there will be something there. Where did you find the settings for it in neutrino?
Just upgraded to cm7.2 rc2 and found the screen on led setting. Works great for me. Just wish I could get a charging solid led that goes off at 100% I got spoiled from my flipside I guess but its just so much nicer to not have to turn the screen on to verify full charge. Lightflow didn't work for me.
Hi, I saw that the led notification problem is not quite followed...

In ICS, the led shines only when a SMS, Whatsapp arrive, but doesn't keep shining after that...
Bug in the firmware. No fully working fix yet.
i only saw the led problem when reciving a SMS but only with the screen off if the screen is on the led starts flashing(in green duh) if i turn off the screen it keeps flashing, i have no idea if sony will release a little patch to resolve this but i hope so.
i asked by phone about this and only said me "donload a led app in the play store that should fix it" so o the guys on the phone don't know nothing o they don't care(i say both xD)
i'll try with an app to see if the problem persist then i'll tell what happened

problem persist even with Light Flow
yeah and a lot of other apps :S we can just hope to sony for fix the bug
my s3 can charge without any problem.
but when i plug off, the led light and that big green battery status are still remain there.
They cannot disappear without getting a boot.

happened to me yesterday after unplugging, just the led was green lit
edit: open dialpad, dial
*#0*#, press LED, then back button a few times,the led turns off after test

does it only work on touchwiz?

Mine only ever shows when the phone is plugged in. I can't get it to flash when I have notifications, even though all settings in Android settings seem to be turned on

Go to additional settings -> notification light then check the blink light option.

did all that and made sure each app i want to notify had led notification...still no blink
Same here. No blink, all settings on
i got someone to message me while in the same room, screen popped up message etc, waited for screen to go into standy... still no blinking light.

rom version is 11.0.6.0 could it be that..? no updates available when i checked today..or a faulty phone, does work when it's charging.
