HI
Lately i am having this problem with my galaxy s2.
During a voice call at one point i am unable to hear the caller and the caller is unable to hear me - the call would still be connected but we can't hear each other - all we hear is silence.
Lately it is happening more frequently i noticed the following associations
1, It's more likely to happen during an incoming call rather than an outgoing call
2, I tend to use a lot a bluetooth headset, so most of the time it happens whilst using the headset, yet it does at times happen also without a headset
3, If it heppend once - then it is more likely to happen more frequently.
Does anyone have a similar problem?
Ken
I was expetiencing a similar problem but all I did was change my rom and my problem was solved

Hello! This is my 1st post so pls excuse me if there is something wrong with it. I have the following problem:
My phone is Samsung Galaxy S duos s7562 with Android 4.0. About a month ago it started to have an issue with not receiving calls during listening to music but the strange thing is that this bug is completely randomized - sometimes i receive incoming calls and sometimes i don't. In the second case i just receive an sms that i have a various number of missed calls and that's it. At the same time the caller is notified that my phone is not switched on when it actually is. It's really nasty, I can't be calm listening to music anymore since my job is connected to having important conversations most of the time. I tried different music players but always the same result. What do you guys think? Could it be a problem with the Android, sim-card, my service provider or the device itself? I will be glad to hear your opinions and any possible solutions. Best regards
Hello guys,
not sure if this is happening to everyone, on my Galaxy Ace 4, OS version 4.4.2, Whatsapp seems to record audio TOO DISTORTED, my voice gets recorded to badly that people doesn't even hear what i'm speaking about... (Comes out VERY loud), also this problem happens on whatsapp call.
When I restart the phone, Whatsapp voice works well for a couple of minutes, then the problem returns as mentioned.
I tried to uninstall/reinstall the app and clear the cache, but it doesn't fix the problem.
I dont think it is a hardware problem because other voice apps record normally.
If someone has this bug or knows how to fix it would be awesome.
thank you
Hello everyone,
On whatsapp you can send voice messages right?
For some reason my voice messages are very soft recently.
My friends have complained that they can't hear my messages and when i'm listening to my own sent voice messages, it's very soft too!
However, I am nearly touching the microphone while i'm sending a voice message!
Does anyone else have this issue with whatsapp?
I did not encounter any problems like a few weeks ago.
Warm regards,
Rosaline

Hello,
I have a similar issue. Basically if I send a voice message without staying very close to the microphone the message results very soft. But if I put my mouth close to the microphone the voice message is ok. I don't know if it depends on the microphone or on the firmware.
Try and set it to high? Settings>sound and notifications>accessory settings>mic sensitivity

Hmm, I seem to have the same problem even though I hold the bottom of the phone (the mic) in front of my mouth
I have an app that is recording an actual phone call (so not a whatsapp call) for me and when I listen to that recording my mic seems to be doing fine.
So it is only whatsapp that's acting weird.
Not sure what could be the reason.
Have you found any fix for it because i have the same problem with snapchat
So I have a Moto G6 Plus phone rooted with Magisk. I'm using the original Pie ROM from Motorola.
At first, there was no sound during calls (I was unable to hear the other person and they couldn't hear me either).
But I quickly found a fix. I changed ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype to none using magisk resetprop. This fixed the issue, however, if I'm using Bluetooth headphones then the issue comes back.
It's very annoying especially when I'm listening to music and someone calls me. I always have to turn off Bluetooth first and then answer the call.
Can anyone help me?
Hi there people.
I've got the following issue. If anyone has this issue or has fixed it let me know.
Calls seem to be interfering with my mic. Sometimes my voice doesn't go to the other end even though normal call or whatsapp call. They might hear 1 word then nothing from me for a few seconds then a word or two and it sometimes sounds like a clicking noise.
I've called my self too and I can't hear anything on my RM7 but whoever I call can hear the clicking noise and sometimes nothing from me.
Sometimes I can't hear the other person too. It cuts out.
Same with normal calls and whatsapp calls.
Continuing my testing, I can send voice notes without issue and receive them and play it via rhe earpiece without issue too. Even voice recording and video recording the microphone does a good job only in calls it bugs out.
Continuing my testing
Works fine with headphones connected. But mic and earpiece work fine when used by voice notes and video ect
I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but I have the same issue. It started around last week.
I cleaned my speakers and mic thinking I got dirt build up. But it's still the same.
It seems like a software issue. Looking at the patch notes in latest OS update (NX679J_UNcommon_V3.16) for me, they have listed "Repair: possible issues with calls in some scenarios". I don't know when they released the update and when I applied it to my phone but that could be the reason for this issue too.
After reading your post I tried regular calls with headphones, speakers and video call with Google meet. They all work fine.
For call on speaker, as soon as you turn the speaker off it starts acting up again.
Hopefully they will fix this issue soon.
From my testing it seems like its an app or something interfeering with the calls. I started the phone up in safe mode (no 3rd party apps only stock ones) and the issue was gone, so the issue is a app related issue, thinking its a virus I just reset the phone to factory and all is good now. I didnt find what was causing it.
Thanks for an update.
I will play around a bit and if it doesn't work out then will do the same.
