[Q] Where is the Log-File location for ICS Update? - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hi there. My razr already has ICS for a while (4.0.4). Since yesterday I keep getting notifications that a new version is available. When I try to install that update, this fails.
I EXPECT this is because of the "System/Spam"-Utilities I uninstalled as root the update cannot find anymore.
Is there any logfile of the update-process where I can find exact information?
I would not really want to do a factory reset because of that issue

[Q] Prime updating not behaving...

Hi all,
My first post and i've searched extensively for answers but nothing has helped!
I have a prime - for nearly 2 months now, as soon as I got it I updated to ICS then updated one more time to 9.4.2.11.
I've now not been able to update OTA to .14 and now not even the .15 update that's available. I've tried manually updating which always ends up with the android laying down with the explanation mark above him.
I did root my system - it's not unlocked (yet) which is another thing - tonight after not being able to update manually or OTA i tried unlocking to use the new ROM available - but again no luck as the unlock tool keeps telling me that it failed to unlock, please try again later... I've tried...
- Unrooting
- Factory resetting
- Updating manually
Would appreciate any light on the problems i'm having...
Have you modified any system files or deleted any stock apps that comes with the prime? If so that is your issue. You need to have all the stock system files and apps in place or OTA will not update.

Trouble Updated [Verizon - US]

Back story: I recently rooted my Droid Razr (it was my first time rooting an Android phone) and completed it without a hitch. However, the update that was released after I rooted downloaded automatically and I became annoyed with the prompt to install now or later. So I unrooted and installed the update. No problems occurred. Fast forward to this morning. A new update is available (it's been available for about a week now, I'd say) and I go to install it. The phone turns back on and says, "Software update has failed!". I am not currently rooted, I've been too busy to re-root the phone. Now I'd like to install this update. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I'd go about doing this?
Thank you for any replies.
Edit: I apologize in advance if this isn't the appropriate section.
Edit 2: I have another question. Is it possible to update a phone's firmware when they are no longer associated with a carrier. I have an older Android phone I'd like to use as a Wifi only phone for apps and such. Am I able to install updates? It seems like the answer would be no, because the phone wouldn't know where to search for the updates. Perhaps a manual install is available?

[Q] [GSM/EU]Software update failed

Hi guys... hope that this post reads also someone from development. If it should be placed there, please move it.
So, here is my problem:
I`m having rooted Razr and OTA update comes to my region. I downloaded update and tried to update, but it failed. I didn't uninstall any of bloatware, just frozen it, but even after unfreezing it won't do update as well. I red some manuals and so on, so i removed bootstrap recovery also but still the same. Looks, that I need to re-install original FW to make it working - right?
I checked possibilities and there are not too many. RAZR utility 1.6 it is not possible download anywhere - links are mostly broken and 1.7 is for ICS only, so only options is using of RSDLite. I found following "tutorial" about RSDLite. I'm almost sure, that after update there wouldn't be possibility to update for a while, so I kept original downloaded OTA update ZIP, but do not know what to do with.
Could somebody say, if it is correct way how to update to ICS? Do I really needs to reflash original ROM and than try to update it to ICS via OTA? Is there some easy way to update if I have downloaded OTA update ZIP?
Some ideas?
Sorry for English...

[Q] What is in the update and is it (root) safe?

I am happy that my Prime kept root after the update to JB (4.1.1) but still had a few minor issues like incompatible cifs libraries (resolved thanks to this great formum).
But now I am getting again a notice that a firmware update is downloading. It stopped due to low battery and I killed the DMClient service said to be responsible for the updates. But I guess I won't be able to postpone the update indefinitely.
So my question is: Are there any infos/experiences about this new update? I couldn't find an announcement. Which version can it be (the message just says there is an update, no version number)? I thought 4.1.1 is up to date, but obviously it isn't!?
Is it safe to freeze DMClient? Gemini App manager gave a warning that some ROMs had issues, preventing an unfreeze -- and I don't want to be without updates for good -- just until I know what I have to expect, and then decide.
If someone already allowed the update: is it still rooted? (I have RootKeeper installed, is this enough?)
Any other issues with it?
