Hi, So Long not see... HOW ARE YOU?
I just want to shared my latest customization ROM, I modified just for FUN and I know may be my MODDED not PERFECT MODD, I am still learn..learn..and .learn. So this is CUSTOM from NOOB. I am trying custom my ROM to get more free RAM , THEMED and BETTER SOUND EFFECT.
LESS LAG (WITHOUT LAG FOR ME) for gaming. I have tested with some GAME like Asphalt6, Dead Trigger, GTA3, Max Payne (USING 4 GB SDCARD cause my Original (8 gb from sales package) SDCARD WAS BROKEN. FOR ANY OTHERS GAME HD NOT TESTED FOR ME DUE OF MY SDCARD SPACE.
SORRY IF I CAN NOT REPLY ANY POST ON THIS THREAD, I DON NOT HAVE OWN INTERNET CONNECTION SO, I MUST BE RENT INTERNET SERVICES TO GET BETTER INTERNET CONNECTION. IF I HAVE ANY UPDATE I WILL BE POST LATER BUT I CAN NOT DO IT QUICKLY.

HOW to INSTALL (WORK for LOCKED and UNLOCKED BL - TESTED BY ME):
==========================================================
1. Flash Stock firmware fw58 enhanced or fw62
(work on both fw, work too for fw42: tested by me)
Ingnore if u are already using above firmware
2. Download my ROM and put on sdcard
3a. for LOCKED BL:
- Root your Device
- Install ClockWorkMod Recovery with ur method
3b. for UNLOCK BL Use custom kernel. ie;
- GB doomkernel v14
- GB LUPUS kernel
Flash custom kernel into your device using flashtool or fastboot!
NOTE:
For LOCKED BL : use point 3a then continue to point 4-8 (ignore point 3b)
For UNLOCKED BL : use point 3b then continue to point 4-8 (ignore point 3a)
4. Boot your device into recovery mode.
5. Do WIPE DALVIK CACHE, or do a clean install (FACTORY RESET/WIPE DATA)
6. FLash my ROM
7. for Unlocked BL: Flash Wifi fix modules related your kernel
8. Reboot your device into system
PLEASE SET USB DEBUGGING MANUALLY (BY GO TO SETTING - DEVELOPMENT)
LOCKSCREEN MUSIC WIDGET ENABLER HERE (NXT LOCKSCREEN)

i've tried this ROM before rodhie share this ROM on XDA, overall this ROM is awessome..
Light,Simple,and almost no lag ...
I've test NOVA 3,Amazing Spiderman,Modern Combat 3,and Asphalt 7 running smoothly on this ROM..:laugh:

Hey! Would you say it's better than DiXperia 2?
Anyone tested on LB? I know it says about the error with wifi but once you are done with that is it ok?
I know i could just simply unlock my bootloader I'm having some probs and I dont have 20 bucks right now

Well I'm actually testing this now...i came from dix2 and I have to say is not to bad...it's smooth it has smooth transitions the ram is about 120mb which is kinda bad but maybe supercharged up squeeze more out of it...didn't test any games yet...only problem I have at the moment is a problem with superuser keeps fc everytime an app asks for permission

try to unlock your bootloader with official way...
i tried on locked bootloader and anything is ok..just try to install wifi fix from the attachment

U can still flash cwm on locked bootloader..and then flash the wifi fix
I've been testing this ROM for 24 hours. I've tested almost all the rom in XDA (Dixperia 1 & 2, Trueancestor, Gin2Jelly, NXT, etc).
This one and Jokawild's are the only two ROMs where I'm able to run Dead Trigger in High Quality without any lag (or sometimes a little of lag).
Music, touchpads, web, wifi, and many other things seems to be working fine.
So far a pretty good ROM. I have not found bugs right now.
I'm using FW 42 and Doomkernel, without any overclock. I don't have neither Nova nor Spiderman to test other heavy games, just Dead Trigger, Lara Croft adn Virtua Tennis.
¿Anybody has questions? Seems like not so many people is trying this ROM

Everytime when an app asked for permission it would just fc
The fastest rom I tried in GB based rom and offline charging is working thank!!!one problem I encounterd when you restore thus rom sound enhancement is fc I try 2x it happen.

1.Flash firmware 4.0.2.A.0.58 EnhancedV2 via Flashtool. TUTORIAL
2.Root the firmware via Flashtool. TUTORIAL
3.Install CWM Recovery. TUTORIAL
4.Download the rom and put on SD.
5.Reboot phone and press [vol+] on boot at the Sony Ericsson logo, when the notification LED turns Blue.
- Full wipe data, cache and dalvik.
- Go to mount and storage in CWM and FORMAT SYSTEM AND DATA Very important, if don't do it you'll get a bootloop.
6.Instal ROM from sdcard.
- Reboot.

If you have problems after first boot and you have to install CWM again, xparts didn't work so install it manually.

- Extract zip, will see a folder, navigate to system/bin.
- Select chargemon, charger and recovery.tar and copy to system folder in the phone.
- Give permissions rwx-rx-rx to all items then move them to system/bin

- Give permissions rwx-rx-rx and move it to system/xbin in the phone.

I created a folder called "theme" (not themes!) in /data/system (not sd card, but device memory). I used Solid Explorer but you can use any root explorer app. You don't need to set any specific permission. If you don't do this trick when you try to change theme you can see the progress bar loading, but nothing changes.

What you need to do is install lupus gb&ics kernal 720p
Then go to market and install cameramod for xperia play
There a working camera, I can confirm this works.

Its under 2MB, so you can download it using the device.
When you got that app insatlled just press the "Fix market" button and presto.

with lupus GB v6 all work fine..sometimes i have soft reboots when installing themes or using screenshot..camera works fine if you follow exactly the steps in 1 post.:good:

that was really the point..im no developer/cooker or other..just wanna share ideas and solutions for this amazing rom..i pm Dan but still no answer..anyway he said somewhere that if someone want to do something its ok,just give all the credits..so if any developers want to help, i hope that is no problem.
It may be off topic a little bit but I think that all of the closed topics of Dan's should be re-opened even if he cant help/fix bugs but I think there are a ton a of ppl that may know the answer to you question

The next problem in the YouTube app. I can't watch videos in HQ or HD. When I want to use it it says me "there was a problem"
With cm7 or cm10 it works.

This is my hard work of several days. I spent several hours to mod most of the files of the rom to make it the most beautiful ROM while keeping the RAM management in mind. bro flashing stock .587 is a vital option itself and might reduce the chances of conflicts....
@officiallysonyrebel tested the games,appolo and even the apps.. and gave me a notice that its smooth enough and bug free

Hey mate I got 3 questions for you and anyone using this ROM, but first of all I gotta say i just installed a new ROM and I'm currently testing it so I don't have the time to check out your ROM right now (that's why I'm asking these questions) but will do it soon. So:
1.Is this ROM only for unlocked BL?
2.How well does the 720p recording work (lag?)
3.How well do games work on it? (games like GTA, Dead Trigger, emulators) I've tested quite a few custom ROM's but game performance was a problem in almost all of them (especially GTA which seems to run nicely only on GB)

1. YES it is only for UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER DEVICES
2. YES IT DOES RECORD 720p videos if the kernel which you use supports the 720p video recording
3. We didn't test GTA but we tested MOST WANTED it was perfectly working with no lags :good:

Thanks for the quick reply. One more question, I've got an Xperia Mini st15i, is there a specific kernel that you have tested with this device that works or should i give a go to any kernel that suits me? I'll probbably test your ROM later tonight or tomorrow.

You should call this rom transformer. Because i feel like i have different phone!!!! Flash yourgapps and it became even better. Best thing for our phone. Everything works perfectly. Even radio fm. I have 4 big apps running and never loosed anything and still have 90mb free. Only thing i miss is shorcut on lockscreen. But its nothing copmare the awesomness of this rom. Thank u szymel

It is. But someone has to make a flashable zip. Also i dont know if u tried the last update. It has different icon packages, no more annoying blue icons.

Szymel, is there a way to update gpu drivers for smoother gaming? Smoother and the best rom by far but very laggy on some games. I remember somewhere calejay posted the drivers but I can't find them.

Although I admit that this ROM is very smooth and fast, I extremely dislike the interface and GUI. The font, icons and color pack is - in my opinion - terrible. However, it's all about performance these days and therefore I applaud you for your work.

If you need a fast, reliable and more " conventional " in terms of design ROM, you can use StockJB by Szymel0. The optimizations are almost the same, with a pure LG UI.

WHY ANOTHER GINGERBREAD ROM?
OK, now you will ask "why posting another Gingerbread ROM when we have ICS, JB, Kitkat?"
Simply because it is a fact that our Xperia U runs good only on Gingerbread.
Yes, it runs well on higher versions, but GB is the only one on which it runs FLUENTLY.
I was furious because every single ROM higher than GB would run poorly or would have some bugs.
Closest thing to perfect ROM was CM10 LE. Thumbs up for those guys, really, they did a helluva work
I was also unhappy with default looks of stock gingerbread ROM for our little precious device,
so what I did was that I picked the best (chiefly cosmetic) features of more advanced ROM's and
integrated them into this ROM. I thoroughly tested it, so finally I can share it with you without fear
of something going south
I must warn you that while this ROM took some of the looks of its younger siblings, it IS NOT a try to mimic them.
I just took what seemed as a good fit to refresh the outdated ROM. My aim when I made this ROM was not to
have a feel like you went to the stone age when you flash it. It still retains many GB elements, but I hope
you will find pleasing and soothing

Thanks for the rom, i installed it, it looks nice but in every GB rom i tried the camera gives too BRIGHT photos, the focusing is faster but maybe too fast, so every 2-3 picture is out of focus.
I have 2 photos made in same conditions (almost total darkness) with ICS and GB, the brighter and the out of focus are from GB .
So.. i guess im back to my ICS..

I agree, this is the one downside of using gb rom, and unfortunately I haven't found a way to fix this. Personally, it doesn't bother me too much because I don't use camera very often, but I understand why you want to reverse to ICS. Anyhow, hanks for trying out my rom!

The camera on ICS is pathetic low focus speed and dark pictures...GB is alot better
Stock GB has never been good, but if you could build CyanogenMod 7.3 for Our device this would change the story..

I haven't tried it on LB, but there is no reason why it shouldn't work since it is a stock based ROM.
There is no boot.img because kernel.elf is included, which is the same
Just delete kernel.elf from zip and you're good to go, but I must warn you that you will lose CWM, since CWM is integrated in kernel.elf!
And if you decide to flash this ROM, please report back how it went so I can add that info in first post, thank you

Appears in first post, so I think assuming it has custom kernel, making it unavailable for locked bootloaders is fair, or am I missing something?

No no, this was added because all of custom kernels for stock GB had broken wifi tether, which I fixed. Now the point is that you can use this ROM even with stock kernel. I personally tried to flash stock kernel and it worked without a hitch. Are you locked to .184 ROM version?

MIUI lovers rejoice! A fully working MIUI v5 for our Xperia U!
This is my side project. I always loved the looks of miui but we've never had a fully functional miui port for our devices.
But not anymore. I've used @werty100's rom (I hope you don't mind) because it was very good and based on xnovathor, but he stopped developing. And this was the only version which gave me no trouble.
Everything is working as it should, and considering that this is miui, I'm very satisfied. good RAM management, working wifi tether, fixed wifi sleep bug..

Features:
- SlimBean based
- fixed most of the remaining bugs (wifi sleep bug, front camera, RAM management, etc.)
- Phantom kernel by @Pwng3 with overclocks, governors, etc
- Dual TWRP/CWM recovery (thanking to @NoobCoder):
to enter TWRP, press volume up when LED bar is multi-coloured;
to enter CWM, press volume up when LED bar is white.
- Performance control included (you need to enable root permission in miui's security center for it to work)
- Fixed lockscreen lag by implementing custom lockscreen which resembles default one (Default one is way too laggy)
- Sound is loud enough, there's no need for additional sound enhancers
- Many small tweaks and patches...
Download:
MIUI_v5_3.10.25_v3
Instructions:
- Backup your current ROM!
- If you don't have CWM/TWRP, then flash kernel included in ROM
- Enter CWM/TWRP and wipe data, cache, dalvik cache
- Install ROM
- Reboot and enjoy
Repeat this procedure even if you're coming from v1 or v2, since base is changed! Sorry guys
Don't flash any gapps, as this rom has all you need (Playstore and stuff)
Bugs:
- FM radio, of course.
- Wifi direct (if anyone has tips on how to fix it, please PM me)
- If you don't have 3G, try turning airplane mode on and off, it happens sometimes, not my rom's fault
- After restart, sound is sometimes at max volume, just change volume (this is also inherited "bug")
- Keyboard disappears and music stops under heavy use. I tried to reduce that to minimum, but it will still happen (low RAM's fault)
- That's about it. I don't consider these to be real bugs, but i put this info here to avoid repetitive questions in thread.

- Fixed USB mounting (Use SD card mounter to mount as MSC or MTP)
- Added WSM (What Surprised Mitu), MIUI's equivalent of Xposed, can load some of xposed modules, check in settings
NOTE: you must install additional files when you're asked when you open app, in order to work)
- Added Mi-tools (Something like gravitybox for MIUI, contain most of WSM modules)
NOTE: BE sure to enable it in WSM
- mali tweaks (it should help with games, but don't expect wonders)
- Some icons refreshed (Youtube, Gmail, etc)
- Hopefully, reduced lag. Added all posible tweaks I know of.

Once you install it, it will FC when you run it, just clear data under apps, and you're done. It also FC's when you manually want to set vibration&sound, but not through personalisation guide, so no worries. When I have time, I will try to fix it.

Thanks to @akbarreynaldi for the tip
It only has white light, but at least it doesn't have that bug where notification light would stuck at orange when there is some notification.
Tips&Tricks for performance
- Use greenify. it matters. I even greenify Google Play Services.
- Scheduler/Governor: interactive (or interactivex)/sio
- Turn off all touch tones/vibrations and autobrightness
- Regularly use broom to clean RAM and run greenify before playing games. Also, in games keep setting to medium.
- DO NOT use task killers!
- Keep list of installed apps short, please
- Finally, don't expect form heavy rom like MIUI to run smooth on such a weak device as ours
- MIUI's tips&tricks, it's worth reading, you will most probably find something you didn't knew about MIUI

If it runs JB then its sure its not for LB cuz for installing 4.0+ roms we require unlocking the bootloader cuz we have to flash custom kernel

It's versatile but of course, you can use any app you like, just be sure to delete performace control.
