I tried to search something in the big android forum but nothing, I'm not very lucky today...
so Is difficult take an app and resize it smaller?
how I can do that?
There is a thread that teach how I can do it?
You can try change DPI using ROM toolbox lite for example.

You'll have to get the image files from within the apk and change their size with something like photoshop or GIMP.

It'll be whatever resolution it was before, you need to make them so they fit on QVGA, google it for the resolution.

I reformatted my computer and can't find my Photoshop disk . If someone can whip something up really fast for me, you would make my month. I just need a black screen with the text 'Be good or be good at it.' in white, Calibri, in the center in landscape. If you have the time/skill, a fade in with some kind of horizontal traversing animation would be much appreciated it.
Thank you!
Just get paint.net or gimp and do it yourself

Hey guys,
I just want to know how to use the icon for Launcher Pro (PNG file) which downloaded.
thanks!
Long-press the launcher's icon which you want to replace -> Change Icon -> Custom Icon and then select the file you want to use as an icon.

I have try this method but the icon is too small to see.

Hey Rahul,
You don't have to resize any images to be honest. But I usually only resize the power menu icons to 24x24 so that they're all the same size. Also the notification bar icons to the same size, 16x16 or 8x8, because otherwise some icons look huge in comparison to others.
For instance, the gps icon should be the same size as the battery icon. Do you know what I mean?
^ok....
Can you also suggest tools for resize

It's the easiest and most convenient way to resize images. You can also do batch resizes with this tool.

Sorry for the slow reply. I've been on vacation since Thursday afternoon. What ROM are you currently using?
That screenshot looks like it was from an earlier version of the minimal matte theme. I would suggest using the newest 2.0 and see if that fixes it!
If not let me know and I will check into that for you!
You are great guys, i know there are a lot of forums where you can find everything step by step but nothing can be better for newbies than a wellmade video

I was always thought that the text color is within the actual ROM itself. Let me ask Lestat if it's within the framework apk file though.
What ROM are you using?

hi! sorry I wrote wrongly.. I forgot a word.. I know where apps are.. I meant where default app ICONS are.. sorry for confusion..
I'm asking this because I would like to replace the exDialer icon (green one) with the default JB telephone one (blue receiver).. but I don't know where I can locate the JB telephone app icon..
I think you may have had the right image, but I believe you may have to decompile then recompile the app properly to do change that. Google should produce results for a guide to do this as I have seen one recently

nova launcher allows me to change apps icons very easily, I have already changed all the apps icons I have in the dock.. so I just need to know where I can find the telephone app icon to be able to use it..

Which one do you want? If I have it I will drop box it for you
To replace images you don't have to decompile just drop them in /res/*whichever folder it goes in* with a store compression value.
Only when you need to edit XML's do you need to decompile and recompile.

Thank you very much
It is the blue telephone app icon you can see in the attachment..
I have it somewhere in the system I'm sure otherwise the app couldn't show it but don't know where i could look..
you forgot the attachment
Sorry.. second from the left, third row.. it is the regular jb telephone app icon.. I don't like all the other telephone icons I have..
just trying to upload it now
here
and here

mate.. you are epic!!
that's wonderful.. at last.. thanks so much! :good::good::highfive::victory:
You dont need to decompile to change .pngs...just open the .apk with winrar and go to res/drawable-xhdpi and replace what you want to
the other drawable folders arent used in the S3 - they are overwritten by the xhdpi folder
Edit, couldnt type it fast enough...!!
And that should be dropped in appname.apk/res/mipmap-xhdpi or hdpi or mdpi whichever one is for your dpi.

I can't recall and can't find the post but it is somewhere.
It was stated that editing local.prop (adding something) will make the option of fonts available in themes app?
If someone knows about the post or the fix, please share...
Thanks
