Any ICS stable ROM with hotspot? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
After 1 year with the Wolf_Xperia v5.0 rom, I'd like to try some ICS rom.
Do you know any ICS stable rom that supports tethering?
Thank you!

Hi but sorry, native tethering is wellknown bug for x10 ICS. Thank you.

Try Feralabs Roms, they with ICS and are good.

Have anybody tried some non-native tethering app in those ICS roms?
Does it deserve changing my rom Wolf for another ICS rom? More free memory? More speed or battery?
Thanks!

yes there is a ICS ROM 4.0.4 working fully and very smoth only that camera is working still only on 6mpx and not in 8.1
remyICS, AOKP and xperia s port are the ones that I know that have less flaws, with the working camera at 6mpx.
I'm using Xperia S ROM
and only relevant issue (in a simple view) is camera
the other are little bugs of the rom in general, nothing catastrophic
im heading to MIUI v4? doenst look like ics but it is^^
edit: no camera and usb storage sry

Rashed is going to upload a new update soon with working camera. I'm talking about jelly bean here by the way so you won't need a stable ICS rom

HeHappy had created a ROM based upon CM9 taking the development further from Lupo. The rom is very stable, has functional camera, I have been using it for months now and am really satisfied with it. It used to be here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614420
however the forum is now closed. Try searching around for the rom though, with a bit of effort you should be able to find it. It was one of the most beautifully running ICS rom around. it was Hehappy's masterpiece and I only have high praise for his work.
Question: was HeHappy's mod ever ported to the rest of the Optimus line? I have an LS670, and would LOVE to try it out.

Getting started with installing custom ROM

Hello everyone,
I have recently rooted my SGS2
using CF root.
Replace the Stock kernal with siyah 4.1.5
Then currently i am on stock ROM
slimICS.
HOw to keep the thread alive....
share your experience of Custom ROM which you are using.
Pros and Cons of the ROM...
Report any Bug..
We can then submit the issue to corresponding Thread or developer..
It is really your choice when it comes to deciding on a ROM.
A few things to consider, the JB 4.1.1 ROMs are available but not stable yet. So if you want to try the latest and greatest and don't mind the odd crash and random reboot it allows you the opportunity to report back your findings and assist in that way with development.
If stability is your concern, then you certainly want to go with an ICS ROM. CM9 is pretty stable as a recommendation.
As you mentioned earlier you could also dual boot to experience both. Just a few pros and cons for you to help in decision.
Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Ok, I'm here if you need me :good:
I booted RR 2.7 ICS version on 2 nd ROM
and after 2 hours booted 3.8 RR JB version..
is it safe to flash ROMs too fast??
I mean back to back??
Theres no limit to the number of ROMs you flash in a day
Only make sure your battery is above 60% atleast before you flash a ROM, or anything for that matter.

Hey Manubr,
few dayz back i was also having the same question
should i try JB too ??..
ok so here is the answer.
JB ROMs are not stable since it has some memory leak issue.
It wil not be resolved till Samsung officially launch JB for SGS2.(will have to wait for stable version)
But CM10 team is trying to resolve infact minimize the issue and get the best JB ROM...
you can check there 30 sep nightly build...
Which i have installed it...
I m having SlimICS ROM1
and CM10 ROM 2..

[Q] Need help with kernel

Hi.
I need some help with this ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846760) because when I install it with the normal kernel I have problems with the WiFi and so, as it is written in the thread, I flash the kernel that fixes the problems, the only problem is that the ROM becomes very unstable.
So, with the normal kernel the ROM is fast and stable, but has the WiFi problem. With the kernel that fixes the WiFi the WiFi works just fine but the ROM becomes very unstable and is always rebooting.
Can you suggest me another kernel or another ROM. I like this one because it is very clean and fast.
Thanks for your attetion.:good:
Happy Holidays.
PS: sorry about my English, I am Portuguese

On the "normal kernel" you might haven't flash its wifi module.
On the fixed kernel, the kernel may not suitable with the rom.
Try fera kernel. Dont forget to load its wifi module
