LOL, I think you've got the trend down.

Forgive my ignorance, but does this increase the chance of devs identifying a 1.15 Hboot vulnerability, or is Hboot not relevant to this source code?

I'm no expert, but am fairly certain the hboot is proprietary and will never be shared.

Hope they fix the LTE connection issues in this update. Comparing it to the S3 side by side the EVO is a joke for LTE usage.

No this is used for making kernels for overclocking and other tweaks. The hboot will be strickly the work of our wonderful devs as HTC does not want us to be soff.

I pmed the htc guy from the other thread asking about that. Waiting on a reply.
The jist is this.
Ask htc they say contact Qualcomm because it's propriety.
Ask Qualcomm and they say contact htc because they released the kernel source.

If its proprietary stuff by Qualcomm then HTC can't release it... Just bc its in the kernel doesn't mean it has to have full source to that exact part... There are ways to still secure proprietary things and include them in kernel for open source items... It'd be interested to see if this is the case..
I would think by now someone over on CAF woulda figured this out for sure by now though...
Anyway hopefully Jeff can get something for ya that will help or least give an answer on the reasoning why...

Linaro coming to CM9!

Seen this over on Android Police, and theres no mention of it here in our beloved LTEvo thread! Linaro is coming to CM9, and it sounds like very soon! Says to nearly double the speed on ICS. Heres the link:

CAN NOT WAIT!
Wow....the interview was over and google's android was still running it's benchmark. Amazing stuff, can't wait till it's implemented into CM9. Thanks for this OP, it was a good read/video.

JBQ said that they actually merged some of the Linaro code into Google's internal master branch. You know you've written good code when Google accepts it into AOSP.

Sounds pretty awesome, but I had never really planned on going back to AOSP... wonder if any of this would be able to be implemented into a Sense-based ROM? That would get me excited.

Beat me to it lol. Yea Kush is getting close it looks like. Once the data/sms are straightened out, I'll be all over it awaiting Linaro
from what I gathered watching that video, it seemed that we will not benefit from this....
Seemed the changes done were kernel level and geared to the specific SoC the Nexus runs...saying they were CPU optimizations, and that it mainly was cleaning the "bad code" allowed in -o2 optimization, and once cleaned they were able to run through o3 optimization...
correct me if im wrong in that thinking though...
still pretty cool!

Unofficial, I believe, means that it isn't supported by the CM team.

Ill say it again.
Show me a fully functional AOSP ics rom.
Driver issues, Rosie (HTC crap) issues.
As with many devices you're only going to get a half ass version of Google's latest OS.
Only reason we have any ICS based Roms on Amaze is because HTC actually did all the work.
Sorry I respect Hasoon, Whatever that young kid that got chased off, and others amazing work on the handcuffed Amaze. Its just that frankly these threads are full guys begging for ETAs and the devs saying hold your horses! Almost there! When the reality is OEMs have sucked the open out of AOSP. There's very little one can do without climbing massive hurdles anymore. Just face it.
If I'm off base or if there's some spectacular change in reasoning as to why JB will be any different ..please correct me as I'd love to be wrong.

Also there's a pure AOSP non-CM build by preludedrew on his twitter that you can download and test. No radio is working atm so it would just be a proof of concept of how Jellybean runs (spoiler: superfast) on our phone. Check it out if you want but keep your nandroid backup nearby.
