Yeah I know, but I loved ICS AOKP and JB is a little bit buggy to me (such as slowdowns once a day or something.)

Alright thanks for the tip! I've been just way too lazy to do that, and usually it would freeze and make me do a force reboot before I got the chance haha.
im currenly in love with aokp build 9-22 jb, a buddy of mine using the same phone flashed back so some of the roms and emulators he uses would work properly, i can understand needing complete stability but, i flashed a recovery just to see what i left behind and immediately went back to jb. the overall smoothness was my biggest selling point. i wont be returning to ics anytime soon.

Oh that makes sense! I prefer stock Android (such as AOKP) as opposed to a Samsung rom (like the leaks, or official samsung builds) just because of smoothness. Which ICS rom did you use? It's been a while since ive been on an AOKP ICS rom so I dunno what i'd be in for haha.

Posting a developers ROMs without permission is against the rules dude. Unless its linked to the OP of the said ROM or to one of the links that is already posted. I've already explained this to you in the ROM thread. What do you not understand?

My theory is that Jermaine and Romanbb are in discussions to get the tf201 officially added to the AOKP ROM, and that Jermaine will be the official maintainer.
Once this has happened we will see the threads come back as official builds.

Jermaine was contacted by dioamnadback because he did not have correct links to his source so there was a war with words including name calling and cursing so jermaine so he's leaving and might take his work to rootz

That's a shame. It was the one thing that I thought about unlocking my bootloader for. I would use the cornerstone a lot in my job.

Personally, I was really looking forward to cornerstone when I get a tablet, and if his build is the only one, then I'm going to find it somewhere. Also, if he does start working on another forum, I think it's fair game to link to that site. The man did great work.

I've found JB roms to be pretty stable over the last couple of weeks.
This is bordering on being a vs thread, which are not allowed. I too forsee this being closed soon.

Its not really the idea or the thread that's bad per say. Its just that this is such a personal preference thing that it can lead to personal attacks and some people making others feel like a certain devs work is more important than others. Plus its better to just try different roms and see what ya like. Its fun.

So I know this type of question isn't really approved of, but I figured, why not post it in a thread that's similar. Sorry OP for thread hijacking.
As my signature below indicates, I'm still using shishir's pre-alpha ShishirICS with Entropy's DAFUQ ICS kernel. I'm looking to try out Aberration since it's his sequel ROM, but I'm not sure which kernel to use, and though I know kernels are phone-dependent, I'd still like some advice. I've been away so long, I don't even know which ones are 4.0.4 compatible or not. I'm looking for a kernel that obviously is Aberration compatible, is rock solid, doesn't have to have a lot of options, and, on stock settings, just makes sure that my phone runs fast enough (I don't run lots of apps or intensive ones, just the basics) and that my battery lasts as long as possible (I love long battery life). I don't want to have to mess with settings too much; the only option I would want to mess with is touchscreen sensitivity (increase it), but I'd be willing to forego that in the name of longer battery life and increased stability. Can anyone make any suggestions as to what I should try?
I may repost this in the Aberration thread later, but I wanted to try here first.
I'm running 'CM10 nightly' its full jb 4.1 and its great its so far stable but its still in testing I'm using it as a daily driver like I said I does have

jamie's temper is not just out of the blue
if users would take the time to read the first 2 posts in which i update frequently then things would be different. but they dont so someone has to say something as im sick of reporting posts and users getting warnings its utterly pointless, so i speak up
99% of info can be found in the op's on how to fix issues, if it isnt search the thread everything has been covered and if all else fails www.google.com is your best friend, use it and abuse it. *then and only then as the op states, you are to post and in full detail your issue*
yet no one does even though its right there in the op.
when users flood dev threads with non-detailed fully covered 10+ times things, someones gunna say something it just so happens that it is me most of the time as i would like users to learn to fix their own issues when its not the roms fault THIS IS WHY THERE ARE THE FIRST 2 POSTS OF THE THREAD. other wise id just have a link to download and a picture and tell users to have atter. *learning is what xda is all about*
so dont mistake my temper as a bad thing and look at the big picture i give more thanks, appreciation and help then "temper" msgs

It's back up.
The new update is cool except I lost the ability to make my status bar and navbar transparent. The way the toggles are represented is different and not really welcome. This has nothing to do with how you built the rom but I will stay on the Oct 2 build until my issues are resolved.

If you know how to compile your own CM10 builds, you can build one using chad's git. That's what I've been doing for my wifes HTC_Vigor. It's running pretty darn smooth.

Chad and MaulingDeOso have asked that we not publicly release ROMs based on their device code until they get it more stable, and we respect that because we really like having them here working on this so we can have AOSP.

As previously stated,
We have been asked not to post builds yet.
Any CM10 build you see on another website has a 99% chance of being built from Chad's repo, and therefore should not be allowed.
I've used a pacman rom on my old Nexus S 4G recently. It is indeed awesome.
PS: Totally made up about a jb rom on mikmik. Just got tired of people asking so I sent them on a wild goose chase. apologize if there was any collateral damage.

You probably shouldn't joke about that.
Chad works very hard to bring us these ROMs.
I noticed that ManelScout4Life seems to be posting nightlies of the Vanilla Rootbox 4.2.1 ROM under the "quincyatt" header on his goo.im section (although they don't appear when you "filter by compatible roms".
I downloaded it, but searched all over the interwebz and couldn't find a damn thing on it...and since I'm not a huge fan of blindly flashing ROM's, I wanted to see if anyone here has taken the plunge and tried to flash it? I know he did the voting thing the other day, but I have no idea how that turned out...so I'm not sure if he's just intentionally not posting it here, or if they're just test builds that aren't ready for full-on testing yet.
Either way - I have read some cool things about RootBox, so I'd love to give it a whirl if anyone else (Manel included?) could confirm that it's not gonna take us to Bricktown or anything. :laugh:
Thanks in advance, hopefully I didn't miss anything previously regarding his ROM's...I'm definitely not trying to go against a contributor's wishes or anything like that.
I'm running Dirty RootBox on my N7 and its great. I haven't heard or seen anything of it for the i717.
