[Q] [REQ] Official Stock Xperia Keyboard - XMP - Physical Keyboard - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

I've been searching for a while and I haven't been able to find an proper patch for the Xperia Mini Pro's Keyboard
Most Roms don't come with the stock keyboard for XMP, which means that the physical keyboard is generally in QWERTY and that the symbols key doesn't work without the possibility to change it.
In "Xperia icecream pureness V2.3" ROM it includes this :

same problem on mk16i.
the stock keyboard app is unaviable to reach somewhere?
or wich files i need from any older ROMs to copy to ICS .587, to fix the "Sym-key syndrome"?

try old Swype)
stock keyboard ram 10-15m
old Swype 2-3m

I think I need something like this too! I installed PACman ROM on my XMP yesterday and I don't like the keyboard, I would like to have the normal 4x3 T9 keyboard when the screen is vertical too, the screen is too small to use a QWERTY...

not the solution i search, btw thanks

Use smart keyboard pro, you can downlod it viap playstore and can change portraid mode keyboard into T9

I have smart keyboard pro, but i really hate T9 , and the predictive text input. I have hw-keyboard, and really easy typing on it, no need suggestions or propositions.
I just will fix the sym-key on it, maybe the direction-keys, and thats all.

I have the same problem on smart xperia rom

this is textinput-tng.apk from system/app
and libXT9.so from system/lib folder taken from my stock rom. paste this into your device & fix permissions from cwm. this may work.

[Q] How to revert back to CM7 stock keyboard?

Hi guys,
I tried flashing this keyboard to my CM7.0.3 ROM earlier today, unfortunately, it didn't really go too well:

Upon rebooting my Legend having flashed the zip file, all I see is continuous Force Closes for the keyboard. Specifically: process com.android.inputmethod.latin
This happens every 10 secs or so, and there is definitely no keyboard present either.
So the question is, how can I revert back to the 'stock' keyboard? Yes, I can restore my Nandroid backup however, does anyone have a link to the 'stock' keyboard that I can flash? Or any keyboard that will work??
Thanks!!
p.s. For what it's worth, the BlueBuzzer theme works great on the Legend.
First of all, have u tried changing keyboard by longpressing any textbox and selecting "Change input method". IF however u replaced the keyboard with the new one u'll have to use any of following methods:
method 1:
unzip the 7.0.3 rom and take the LatinIME.apk and push it to you /system/apps (make sure system is mounted and not read-only)
(If u need, i can add it as attachment)
EDIT: Apparently "libjni_latinime.so" is also modified, at least it's in the zip. Same as the apk, but push to /system/lib.
Method 2:
Download any other keyboard from market and Change Input method to the newly installed keyboard. Now it'll be hard to enter your searchquery without keyboard, so just use the market.android.com website and the install will be pushed to your device.
Method 3:
Well, it's maybe not the best way, but easy for sure, just reinstall 7.0.3 without clearing anything. So just "update" your rom, with the same version.
It'll put your keyboard back to how it should be.
If u wanna use this method i hope u didn't change too many system files ^^
Hope it works.
Grts,
BartAertgeerts
Thanks, I ended up restoring my Nandroid backup which was taken just before I attempted to flash the keyboard.

[ICS] Xperia S like on/off widgets for any launcher!!!

Hello guys! So here are modified on/off ICS widgets with Xperia S style which work on every launcher!
note: It won't work in landscape mode... BTW home launcher in landscape mode is awful, isn't it?

If you like this don't be an asshole and USE THE THANKS BUTTON!
For those who are wondering what launcher I'm using, I use Apex Launcher, based on the default ICS launcher. Give it a try because it is fast, smooth, free and customizable unlike stock Xperia which is slow after killing, beside the fact it has GPU acceleration it is not smooth.
To install (you need to have root):
Push the .apk files into system/app folder with rw-r-r permissions.
Or flash the zip file using CWM.
THANKS TO soumya_digi FOR THE FLASHABLE ZIP.
Looks great, but there also seems to be a smaller version? I don't know further details, but I would prefer that one.

I think I don't understand you well.. if you are talking about the notification toggles/widgets you can replace SystemUI.apk with modified one for which you need root, or install notification toggle for which you don't need to have SU permissions.
And BTW you can take screenshots pressing the volume down button and power button at same time for like 2 secs
Looking good. Trying thanks.
I'm using Arc S. It is working perfectly on apex and go launcher. Thank a lot
they work great on xperia u... trebuchet luncher
ty
Req
Can u just tell me how to port the photowidget.apk to any launcher such as apex or any custom rom?
Working on stock or stock based ROMs only?
Or Cm1o would also do?

This keyboard exists in my NEO V. But it's for MDPI, if I provide it to you, is anybody willing to resize? Also it sits with 21MB on RAM.

Xperia Japanese Keyboard

With the new firmware Sony rolled out in the past week they took away the Japanese keyboard.
I actually used that and would love to get it back as IMO it is the best on android. Does anyone know where to get it from?
are you sure? I still have it, when the keyboard shows up, pull the status bar down and press "Xperia keyboard", it will show you the different keyboard options Voice/chinese/japanese.
Same with me, Xperia Japanese keyboard is gone.
yeah I am 100% sure unfortunately. Sony pushed out another release this week with the same build number

You probably want this. It's not a flashable zip so extract, copy all to /system/app, set permissions rw--r--r-- and both owner/group to 0-root. Reboot. I don't know if it's required to do so, but I'd rather reboot to recovery, clear dalvik and cache, then boot to normal.
Good luck. If it works and you want the sakura and woody skins, I'll upload them as well.
PS. Not all updates are the same. It's regional.
