I'm a noob here, but have been running Omega v11 ICS for a while no problems.
Upgraded to v26.1 Jellybean today with a full wipe. All good except i've just noticed that I now have no data connection when not connected to wifi.
I have mobile data selected in settings, and data is turned on in the 15 toggle buttons.
I have done a search on the Omega thread but cant find anything, and can't post on there being a noob.
Am I missing something obvious?

Do you have a modem / your older working modem .
Correct CSC or did you check correct Mobile network settings .
IMEI number same as under the battery .

I have reflashed, but no change.
I have also tried modem BWLH1 but no success.
Works fine for voice but not data.
Might have to go back to ICS
I have restored back to my previous ICS backup of Omega v11 and all is fine.
It's a shame as Jellybean looked good and seemed faster and smoother
I may try upgrading again a few versions down the line.
Hi mate, I have the same issue on all JB Leaks - not really sure what causes it so I'm back on ICS too.

I've went ahead and flashed Sensation Rom a while back with full wipe etc.
Ive noticed that on my network (Cytamobile Cyprus) everytime my phone went to sleep after woken it will never switch from 3g to H, giving horrible speeds as a result -200 300kbps. However if data network was turned off and back on - H would work and i would get full speed. Ive tried a variety of ICS roms (even the official carrier update) and modems, even tried flashing a GB modem that I was using on my GB rom - no results.
Please Help.
Currently had to restore back to GB where my connection works fine.
If anyone has any advice on the matter I would really appreciate. I really like ICS

Backup, FULL wipe and give wanamlite ICS ROM a try.
If you still have connectivity issues, then flash various modems from the modem thread to gain best reception/stability/speed etc.

I've had the same issue running Resurection remix 1.8.
Fixed it with a full wipe and RR 1.9.1.

Thank you all. RR 1.9.1 fixed my problem. On the other hand too many SODs guess will have to reflash something else.
I've installed Jelly Bean custom ROM for Samsung Galaxy S3; then when I tried to connect to the wifi, my phone shows that the signal is very strong. After a minute of connecting, it shows a message "Network disabled, poor connection". The wifi setting was saved, but still can't connect to the internet. Then I flash it back to its original ICS ROM, and it easily connect to the wifi.
There is 2 different JB Custom ROM that I tried, and both of them are having the same issue. What should I do?
I've search this problem and found some answers, but those answers are not working for me.. Please help..
Wait for Samsung to release JB instead of using Beta test roms .

Try changing your modem, had the same problem when installed RR JB rom, reinstalled it and changed modem and worked perfect.

OK well worked for me when flashed ROM again and changed modem. I guess I changed something else at the same time then.

Which roms have you tried? I have the same problem but it's only on the latest leak (DLH6). Wi-Fi on roms based on DLH4 works fine for me.

I've faced the same issue with DLH 6 BUT not DLH4.

Which modem did you switch too? Worth a try.
Its because of WIFI encryption, remove the password and try.
It's a bug in the leaked builds, they're BETA so you can't blame anyone but yourself.
it seems some people also had success after changing from wpa2 key to wpa key on there router.
I've the same problem.
I used to use Resurrection Remix JB 3.0.6.1 and everything worked fine. Then I flashed another CriskeloRom v13 (both are JB), and WIFI worked fine as well.
The problem was: when I flashed back to RR Rom, I couldn't connect any of the WIFI access points (actually, I tried 2) though the signal is very strong. I tried different settings and I also reset the APs and it didn't work at all. I also tried different modems and it didn't work either. Then I tried to re-flash both ROMs and found something may help:
1. flash RR: pass (before this the ROM was an unknown 4.0.3 version came together with the new phone)
2. flash CrisKelo: pass
3. flash RR: fail
4. flash RR with different modems: fail
5. flash RR ICS: fail
6. flash RR: fail
7. flash CrisKelo: pass
8. flash RR: fail
Anyone can give me some hint? What I need is the RR JB ROM with WIFI connections!

Same problem here. Running CheckROM v5.5. Have tried 2 different kernels (Perseus and Siyah). Hopefully the XXDLIH release will fix it....

Today i installed and tried two roms today and both are giving me the same problem i cannot get my mobile data connection working?
I installed both the roms below full wipes etc but cannot get my mobile data connection to work, when i look under status and mobile network state it always says it is disconnected. WiFi works fine but mobile data cannot seem to connect? Has anyone else experienced this and how did you fix it?

I'm having the same problem after installing Checkrom V5.5 JB. No data connection whatsoever. I've had to go back to ICS for now.

Well it has been working with every other rom previous to these only when i have updated to these ones has the modem stopped working.

SOLUTION FOUND:
You need to change your APN settings. I installed Checkrom V5.5 and it came with Virgin APN settings by default. I entered by Tmobile details and it's working perfectly. (was nothing to do with modem settings).

I think it might be a modem firmware issue does anyone know what modems works well with UK T-mobile and i will flash my phone and see if that makes a difference?

I installed PA v2.5. Everything worked well except my phone network signal. It is not detecting any signal. Did every thing i could do. wiped system/factory reset, wiped cache partition and dalvik cache. Fixed permissions. Formatted system. tried installing rom a number of times. Changed kernels from stock kernel to siyah 4.1.3 and 5.0. But none of the method worked. Please suggest the way i can get my phone signals as without network signal, it doesn't remain a phone.
Have you tried flashing another modem? You can download a modem here.
Why don't you try to install an other kernel? Different from siyah and stock... As kernels define how hardware work...

You installed siyah 4.1.3 with PA 2.5? They're not compatible and the phone shouldn't even have booted.
Anyways, if you're not able to get a signal, your modem has probably changed. You can check if the modem currently on your phone (settings>about phone) is the same as the one you originally had. ( I assume you've noted down your original modem details somewhere. And flash that modem from the link mentioned above. It should work

so please suggest some other kernel that works fine with pa2.5. I had installed i9100DDLPA base version originally. and now i have flashed it. still not getting signal. sometimes it appears but disappear next moment. it happens frequently. Now i have switched to stock ics 4.0.3. but i want this rom. i flashed resurrection remix and found same problem. but flashing stock modem fixed it. But its not working with pa.
Use siyah 5.0 or dorimanx 7.4 (or higher if there's a later release.) I think the siyah dev gokhanmoral has blocked siyah 5.0 downloads for some reason, so use dorimanx 7.x for now.
Flash the PA ROM, it'll automatically install the default kernel its using. You can install dorimanx after that. And then if necessary, the modem that works for you. Also you can use the getRIL app to match your radio and baseband. May help.

Hi, i love PA too but we have the same issue. Not exactly the same though. I get signal when i boot my phone, i get an H signal (the highest i could get before the issue) but after flashing PA, it drops to E only after about 2minutes. Pls pls reply back if you found a solution. I have tried different modems and kernels already, verified that Siyah 5 is not compatible, tried DorimanX, same thing. Tried 2 different version of PA, no luck. Not to mention that i also tried another sim.

getRil app solved the problem.:laugh: It gave me the option of flashing modems which were matching my phones modem hardware. Thanks to all guys who helped me. Thanks a lot. Anyone having the same problem as of mine or any network related problem please give a try to getRIL app. May be it could work for you too.

I have a S3(i9300) and its been just few days i have been using it. Since the Touch Wiz environment was boring i decided to flash custom roms. I started with ParanoidAndroid, the rom was snappy and smooth like butter but then as i left my house and had to switch on my data package it showed data package indication on status bar but never actually worked. Then i decided to try Cyanogenmod 10.1, still no luck.
Everything works well, even the wifi works great but the data package made me shift back to stock rom. No matter what custom rom it is the data package never works. I really want to stay on cm10.1. I wish i can get some help from here.
P.S. - I tried flashing newer modem bt it still didn't work. HELP ME!

The ROM works great. I haven't installed any other apps except what all comes with the cm10.1 ROM.
