Not sure what happened but prior to the htc update i was able to select an option when I clicked on the video chat request link on google talk to either Chrome, Internet or Google+. Now it just goes straight to Internet to the google+ url and asks me to install a plugin for the browser. Does any one know how to accept the video chat/hang out on google talk?

Gmail Browser vs. Gmail App
Not sure, anyone understood my question.
I personally think that the Gmail App is actually completely obsolete. Especially when you think that it doesn't allow you to download certain attachments.
The mobile browser gmail interface is - amazing. So why have an extra application running when you can only login to gmail offline with your browser? Since the Gmail App is not integrated into the TouchFlo interface anyways?
The questions remains, why the mobile browser interface (after you click on the "faster gmail" link is not doing what it is supposed to be doing aside from having an entry mail.google.com in the gears settings of your browser?
I use Google Apps for Domains. I hadn't tried to log into my mail via the web browser, but I just tried it today.
When I logged in, I was given a message that an update was available that would was faster and would allow me to compose and read email offline. I accepted the update, which appears to be a Gears update, so it looks like it is probably working fine.

Dave

I did the same thing and when you look into your advanced browser settings you can see that gears now seems to be configured for mail.google.com. The questions remains though, if you can login offline to your apps or non-apps gmail account? I haven't been able to....
Maybe I just don t get it but is there any integrated way how to schedule a hangout? All I found is
a) copy in manually your hangout URL into the invite, but it seems impossible to get the URL if you on a android device as when you want to start a hangout from a browser in order to get the URL it redirects you to the market to downloads the g+ app
b) there is schedulehangout.com but don t want to use an external web side
c) There is a calendar plug in but without a Google apps account you cannot download it
Kind of surprised that with all the integration talk, Google is overseeing the obvious, why can't you in 'where' just choose my hangout ???

After one of the recent updates to the youtube app, I haven't been able to watch any videos. No matter what I do in the app, I always get the error "There was a problem with the network [500]" and the loading icon just spins forever. This happens on launch, when searching, and when being linked in from outside the app.
I've gotten this error before on older versions of the app, but it never prevented me from using the app. I have a feeling it has to do with my youtube account/email associated with my google account being suspended (happened years ago for uploading clips from a concert I went to, which is BS since youtube is full of them now).
Anyways, does anyone know what I can do to make the app work again? Is there a way to add an alternate youtube account? The "sign in" option does not allow me to specify an email.
I'm using a Nexus 7 on 4.2 and a Razr Maxx on 4.1.2 and Youtube app version 4.2.16
Figured out how to associate the app with a different account. Add another google account to your device, then clear data for the youtube app (or un/reinstall if it's not a system app). Launch the app and it will let you select which account to use.
Works perfectly

hey guys, for some reason when i try to join a hangout from a link in my email, it keeps opening up my internet browser on my phone, and then goes to the web version of the play store...
is there any way to join a hangout from a link on the phone?
Hey guys,
I got an HTC Jetstream as a gift recently and its lovely! I was successfully able to connect it to my WiFi and browse the internet and stuff but for some reason the Play Store is not available. It still has the old "Market" app which does not connect to the internet even if I put in my Google ID and password.
It comes back with an error stating my Internet connection is not reliable. However, I am able to download stuff and video HD quality YouTube videos. I am not able to log in to any Google apps as well.
What seems to be the problem?

Does it let you log into a Google service (i.e. Gmail) via a browser on the Jestream? If not then you might want to troubleshoot using Google Dashboard on a different computer.
Otherwise, this might be a time when performing a factory reset fixes things. Is losing all of your data acceptable?
Search google: google play apk download. Install the latest market app.
