AFAIK u don't even need any additional app for that with siyah kernel. it's built into it now. so when u plug in ur ntfs drive it should get mounted without any problems.

Are you sure bro?? Coz i thought that the app helps you auto mount/ unmount ntfs drives. can this be done without the app as well?? have you tried it yourself???
Thank you

Hi all !!
As i know, Xperia S has a build-in memory. I had unlock bootloader and install the ka room. In this room has a SD card mount feature.
Using this app to connect my phone to PC, my PC will recognize my phone as a USB.
The problem is i can not copy any file more than 4GB to my phone. Because of the partition is as FAT32, not NTFS.
So how can i copy a large file (more than 4GB) to my phone ????
You'll have to reformat the partition or split the file.
It's a known limitation of FAT32.
Why do you need a thread for this?
You can try format to NTFS, but your device can become buggy
Use a external hdd that is formatted in ntfs! With a usb otg (on the go) adapter ofc...

err.. i dont think the phone cant read ntfs (YET )
i've to make two partitions in my 16 gB UFD, so the phone can recognize it. i think the ability to read ntfs partition is done in the kernel, and none of the kernel for SXS done this (YET )
so: use hjsplit (or any archiver) if it's only for storage... or re-encode it if it's a video player.
First: THIS IS NOT MY APP! Im just posting it here to help people that are having the same problem as I am!
Take a look at this new app in the market:
Paragon NTFS & HFS+ Beta
With this app, its possible to mount NTFS drives, but your phone need to be rooted, so it can do his wable-mable-magic-trick
If you had or have a MAC, maybe you will remember a famous and reliable solution that do the same thing: Paragon NFTS for Mac. Of course, the android version is developed by the same team, so i trust them, and best of all: its FREE \o/
Have fun and press thanks if i helped you!
Bye folks!

I don't know. I have a Xperia S. But anyway, are you rooted? The app is for rooted devices only. It starts in a console screen and stays like that until you plug the NTFS drive, so the screen changes, and you can mount it (and set what "folder" do you want to mount it)

It's app mount only external NTFS/HFS drives?
Coz i get "Fuse not present" despite the i have android 2.3.7 with fuse module and root, internal microSD have 2 partition - fat32 and ntfs.
could we format the Xperia S internal memory to ext4 or exFat for bigger files size?
and how to do that?
currently i perform recording full HD and it stop with file size 3,78Gb (27min17sec)
i am a newbie

You can enable it in the kernel. It does work, but not for internal storage. Things need to be changed in the firmware. Wait for AOKP nozomi_lvm builds.

for ntfs filesystem, maybe you need tools like paragon ntfs or ntfs mounter.
if you need storage for files files greater than 4go, you could also use ext4 file system which are usable with windows PC.
thanks

hello there xda.. i wanted to ask whether there is any kernel for xperia z ultra international version that supports ntfs file format coz i was trying to mount an ntfs formated usb but it was not able to recognize it.. i tried to mount through the paragon app available on play store but nothing worked for me.. i am currently on stock 4.3 rom with stock kernel and rooted phone..
i also tried to mount an external hdd but it too didnt worked which is my main concern.. power is not the problem coz i used a usb 3.0 y- cable to connect it so i think its a kernel issue because my s4 mounts the same hdd and as far as i know its kernel suppots ntfs... any help plzzzz!!!!

No not NTFS... but exFAT is supported by stock kernel. So if its about file size then use exFAT. I do and its great for 10gb 1080p vids.
use Paragon Mounter.
